@ThePakibro786 That's so cool. What motivated you to watch this romantic drama? Personally, I am a fan of Brooke Shields, but I acknowledge that most people of our generation do not recognize her as "the face of the 80's". So it is a surprise to me that you do. :-)
I always LOVED this movie. It was like the kids were treated like adults--with all the wine drinking and smoking at the table. And the impromptu party? Wild!!! This was a true movie of the '80's--though part of me thinks it had a LOT of 70's sensibilities... : )
I wanted to watch this SO bad when I was like 10 (all my friends has seen it & were talking about it) my parents "previewed" it first and said NOWAY!So when my cousin spent the night we snuck downstairs w/ volume turned so low u could hardly hear (couldn't get caught) & watched it. That was back in the good days when u had those little brown box things that went to channel 35(she wasn't even lucky enough to have one she lived in the country and technology hadn't advanced that far yet!)
@TheMaria1901 Thanks for a nice comment.Ive gone off dating and ive been alone along time,im in my 30s,just had my birthday 4 days ago and turned 31 made me abit depressed getting older.I like old movies and music but feel like im in my mid twenties.Dont think of yourself as dumb,ive met some characters in my life,not good ones but i forgive easily,even if i was annoyed.Im kind and honest,been told cute or handsome,did do some modelling but not shallow.

please tell me that this movie was oringinally released in 1978 but aired later in 1981. ive been trying to prove to a friend that this movie is a seventies movie because i was 13 when i first saw it and im absolutely sure that it was 1977 or 1978 when this film was first released. I read the book and I must say it left me with a sadness that I didnt understand so young I guess now I realize he was a stalker and his feelings for her weren't love but obsession I still love the movie and the book if you haven't read it I do suggest it!
@CHARMINONEAYERS1 I dont think he was a stalker,he just loved her and she was his first love,he didnt want to be with any other woman because he cared for her alot and couldnt let go of her,he was pushed away from her.She didnt think he was stalker she cared for him too,if she thought he was a stalker she would of kept pushing him away.I think it was a good movie too
@andyleigh30 You really gotta read the book too they couldn't cover it all in the movie but he was extremely obsessed with her. He followed her and her family and even when she was reaallly done he couldnt stop he was put back in the mental institution and would only date other girls that looked exactly like her so he could see her face in all of them thats not love check out the book I highly recommend it let me know what you think when youre done

He, I'm guessing lived very close to Jade and wanted to ride his bike ......lazy people wouldn't do that, I know. Lord forbid someone ride their ten speed even a mile.
