I realy think you should not give a stage to every anvy moron to comment, especially in case of people who dont show how they self can play or just playing like disaster, please check their channel before approving!
a new role:
only people who have a self-video and only people who can play or can do something...
in case of "coinboy5" and "realillusions" its clear the two have no idea - so why let comment, fair comes before this kind of "freedom of speech".
Obviously, the guy has chops, and you can't fault him, or anyone for that, but approaching this as a work for cello with an established pedigree, I'd hardly call this fantastic. You'd think the guy has never seen the score from the way he plays. Sure, you can make the JdP argument, but she actually was relatively close to the composer's original penning of the work.
This isn't even left field. It's in the parking lot.
Some of you Cello guys, can only learn from this playing!
"automatically a perversion of this noble work..." and to play this work without any understanding of what this work stands for??? (like so much of you cello dudes are doing)
for all the Cello players who dont know how to hold a bow, please dont comment so low!
As a cellist, I am forced to condemn this performance... The Elgar concerto is the best-loved cello concerto today, and any transcription is automatically a perversion of this noble work.
Firstly the chords can't be spread correctly, thanks to the tuning in 4ths. And if you have the gall to play the chords at pitch, where are your guts when it comes to the high E?
Brilliant playing, yes. Terrible choice of repertoire, yes.
Woderful
Very Good playing by leading innovation.

Leave it as a cello piece.
No wonder no one has recorded it before, because it doesn't sound good
Some things should be left as written
