@Bannedforfun not just the mouth movement, it's the movement of their bodies that annoys me too... but anime character designs are usually much more detailed than us cartoons, so it's harder to animate. that's why they always seem so stiff and they just open and close the mouth, not actually animate the movements according to what they say. sucks D:

I've also seen that apparently these characters are from another series of the animators'... PLUS Daft Punk feature as a band later on in an award ceremony (in this film)... Oh and Daft Punk is two guys, both white; this is one short guy, one black guy, one white girl, and a girl xD
