Actually I think he was under rated even in his prime when you think about it. I realized it when I heard him live in the house in Chicago IL.. and  in his home state around Chicago he was very popular, liked and well known by all.

Well she did sing Tosca in Los Angeles in the late 80's with tenor Neil Shicoff and thats a Soprano role.
