  • Where is Khrisna to beat the crap out of this Apollo in disguise god wannabe? I bet Khrisna is really into this nuclear war, worried and working on it.

  • @TechNoirReplicant Just cause he has super powers doesn't mean he doesn't display human qualities. Naked people are naked people, doesn't matter to him but i feel the fact people just ignore it is pretty unrealistic, that what I'm trying to say. I'm sure his teammates probably would've been like,"GO PUT CLOTHES ON." I don't even know the point of your reply btw, in fact all u did was call me stupid cuz he has super powers making him not human?? what. Seriously you're the idiot.

  • a man that can create anddestroy all life dont have to hear no shit from no one, he is god and we are ants by his eyes..... BEST HERO EVER!!! superman literaly couldnt stand 1 sec agains him

  • @demiser21 Cool story. Anyway of he looks human and is intelligent. I say he's human enough. I mean what if some giant naked blue alien went up to you and tried to have a normal conversation. Yah I don't think you could possibly resist feeling awkward around that or some other similar feeling.

  • @mikeandamina Wow, you're stupid... being naked doesn't matter at all to him. It only matters to ignorant, small minded humans like you, do. you. understand??? he has amazing super powers and cannot die, that is far from being human 'cool story. Anyway of he looks human and is intelligent. I say he's human enough..." seriously you're really really stupid.

  • Does everyone just pretend he's not naked? Srsly? -.-

  • @mikeandamina After the initial shock you realize nudity isn't that big a deal. Only humans wear clothes and he's no longer human so...

  • Anyone know where I could find the 10 minute or so sequence where Manhattan speaks about his past on Mars?

  • @adcsm101take2 omg im looking for the same video right now. That what lead me here lol. Im trying to put it on my psp

  • what i would give to be dr.manhattan and have his knowledge.

  • @WiseOldDudee Knowledge can be a terrible burden.

  • I remember watching Watchmen the first time. I sat there with the credits rolling completely paralyzed by its depth and masterful story telling. I was totally blown away. Anyone who thinks Watchmen was bad is just another 14 yo who expected this to be Spider man or some other CGI pumped nonsense. Fuck Hollywood for not giving this movie an Oscar. After seeing the Dark Knight, I said "Great movie" and walked out, hell...i even forgot I watched it a week later. Watchmen to this day amazes me

  • @epsilon881 well said. JRserver is an action fanboy, ignorent to watchmen's message.

  • @epsilon881

    Indeed.

  • @epsilon881 right...

  • what is Dr Manhatton made from?

  • @ductuslupus87 He seems to have constructed a body of some form of energy.

  • @ductuslupus87 hydrogen

    How i know?

    Look at his forehead

  • As i read through these comments and drift off into infinity, I perceive opposing forces from every angle on every subject in these comments, perhaps it is this that keeps us resonating at a slowed vibration giving the illusion of matter.

  • It surprised me how much I could identify myself with him...

  • alan moore and zack synder are gods!!!

  • "Even if i wanted to help...

    But i dont"

  • "what you fail to realise out of willful ignorance is that it's not a straight forward superhero story where to good guys win with the usual fists, sound effects and the good guys putting the bad guys in jail. it's a critique of the superhero concept. a deconstruction."

I once again refer you to any number of characters created by Stan Lee, as well as "The Dark Knight", which one can read any number things into from moral play to critique of superheroes.

  • CREEPER

  • so is he good or bad

  • @XTHATGAMERX He's kind of neutral, and he has little value for life being a cosmic entity until the end. That question you just asked is what makes the Watchmen comic and movies so interesting, You don't really know whether most of the heroes are good or bad

  • what is he building there?

    was baut er da?

  • did rorshach borrow the voice from dark knight?

  • @tealmm Nope, they got it from him.

  • I'm going on 34 but I had heard of this but never seen/saw it. Ha ha ha lol shit we didn't get cable till I was like 13, when school let out we was always outside in the playground playing basketball, baseball, kickball or on the waterpoll and swinging or on the slide till the lights on the lightpost came on. If that ain't some black shit I don't no what to tell you, holla

  • Sexy parts 0:20 0:30

  • All I wanted from the Watchmen movie was for Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan to be done right, and I was not disappointed.

  • @Hoppus217 Essentially, Watchmen takes the "hero" out of "Superhero", and to call him "one of the most interesting comic characters ever" is the height of hyperbole, given that he does a complete 180 on his apathy for human life when he finds out that Silk Spectre is the daughter of the Comedian, and by seeing a decent person who is the product of the world's biggest dick cheese, he decides life does have meaning. He is without a doubt one of the single worst characters ever conceived by man.

  • @JRserver Give me one realistic and good reason why someone like superman should give two shits about mankind. Any of these super intelligent super powerful beings. They have no reason. Superman and all those are childrens comic style superhero. Dr Manhattan is simply a super being. Needs an adult and a mind willing to put pieces together to understand him properly. Its not cut black and white this guys a good guy and this guy is a bad guy. The world is a lot more grey than that.

  • @ztunelover Uh-huh. Now, answer my question about why Dr. Manhattan, who has no reason to give two shits about humanity, does a complete 180 on that apathy because Silk Spectre II is revealed to be the daughter of the Comedian. THAT'S what it takes to get him to start caring about life?

    Worst. Character. E.V.E.R.

  • @JRserver What makes you think he actually did? Ah why am I wasting my time on someone with such a limited mental capacity.

  • @ztunelover That speech he gives to Silk Spectre about how he now values life and what he says at the end about how he plans to travel to another galaxy to create life may have something to do with that. And don't confuse me with the man in the mirror that you ask why you're wasting your time with every morning.

Watchmen is "a highly overrated phenonmenon" and Watchmen apologists are like people who think "Battlefield Earth" should have won the Best Picture Oscar.

  • @JRserver Overrated? Yes most definitely. What wins best picture doesn't matter to me, but as far as superhero style movies are concerned this is the first one to even remotely challenge my perception. It was an enjoyable movie and finally theres a super being that doesn't really care about hurting humans. Is this the greatest movie? Hell no, but its way better than the brainless crap in its genre. Haha confuse you for me. The dust under my feet are more significant than you. Good day.

  • @ztunelover " Its way better than the brainless crap in its genre."

That genre is what produced "The Dark Knight", and only an idiot could consider "Watchmen" superior to the likes of "The Dark Knight".

  • @JRserver The dark knight, was far from an intellectual movie. It was an action movie, with exemplary acting from certain actors and really well finished special effects. But as for the story, it wasn't really a mind bend in any way. There was nothing to percieve except for a linear storyline executed very well. Your mind didn't have to interpret anything in it. It does in this movie.

  • @JRserver Watchmen and Batman are both DC comics jackass. And the superiority is a matter of opinion. Watchmen is a far better wriiten comic than batman. And honestly, what makes you think The Dark Knight is so amazing? Did you jump on the Ledger bandwagon? Your judge of movies and the characters within is embarassing.

  • @J7nate Watchmen and Batman both being DC characters is pretty irrelevant, here. And as to your statement that Watchmen is a better written comic than Batman, you're simply wrong. Not in my opinion, no, it is a FACT that you are WRONG.

"The Dark Knight" is the rare movie that can appeal to everyone because it has something for everyone, including people who could care less about superheroes. "Watchmen" strictly appeals to it's own cult, er, fans.

  • @JRserver

is batman in the time's 100 novel's list?

    watchmen is;)

  • @pein05 (see previous comment)

  • @JRserver you know what? Fuck you! I have given you enouth reasons WHY watchmen is so appealing as a deconstruction story aswell as a superhero story, and you leap around the argument like a fucking flea! You haven't got an argument. you're just an ignorant buffoon! Marvel superheroes are just like traditional superheroes with some minor changes. Watchmen is a TRUE deconstruction of the entire genre. And how dare you get cocky with us and act like the book hasn't payed it's dues when it has.

  • @georgemiser (see previous comment).

  • @JRserver you act like I'M the fanboy, but i'm not the one going ''batman rules, watchmen drools.'' constantly. I like batman, i like watchmen. Their both awesome.

  • @georgemiser No, my friend. Batman is and always will be awesome. Watchmen never has and never will be anywhere approaching halfway decent.

  • @JRserver Damn boy, you are so pathetic

  • @thenomaic well said. the man's a phylistine, end of story. i guess watchmen to him is like pearls before a swine.

  • @pein05 ha! Like THAT means anything to him. Watchmewn payed it's dues as a social commentary and as a superhero story. It challenges the readers perception of right and wrong and isn't afraid to speak out on stuff that most comics wouldn't tap into at the time it was made. but by the sounnds of it he's got his fingers in his ears.

  • @georgemiser

"ha! Like THAT means anything to him. Watchmewn payed it's dues as a social commentary and as a superhero story. It challenges the readers perception of right and wrong and isn't afraid to speak out on stuff that most comics wouldn't tap into at the time it was made. but by the sounnds of it he's got his fingers in his ears."

wtf are you talking about? this isn't even what i was talking about moron

  • @pein05 People also voted for a second term for W, so I guess there's no accountiong for taste.

  • @J7nate "Your judge of movies and the characters within is embarassing."

Based on your recent comments, the absolute value of that statement is worth approxiamately two and a half times the square root of chicken crap.

  • @JRserver you sir are an arrogant idiot. you fail to understand watchmen and the message that comes with it, because your mind is flooded by explosions and overblown special effects from just anouther batman movie. Which is all the dark knight is. there is only one option for you at this point. that being to shut up.

  • @georgemiser You're 100% right, I fail to see the message that comes with "Watchmen", because the message is complete BS. And I'm seriously beginning to wonder if you've even SEEN "The Dark Knight", given your dismissal of it as being nothing but special effects and explosions, which is like saying that "Inception" is just a lot of chase scenes and Leonardo DiCaprio fishing for an Oscar. You're just wrong, sir.

  • @JRserver your arrogance shows once more. you fail to see the message because the simple fact is this. your vision of what a superhero SHOULD be, is jaded. jaded to the point of superman simplicity. like i said before, admit you don't get it, and shut up. the reality is, the morals, truth, realism and the idea of what superheroes would be like if they existed on our earth with OUR physics, with only ONE true superbeing is too much for you. Cus the fact is, if mainstream crimefighters did exist

  • on earth, they WOULD have faults. I respect the mainstream dcuniverce as much as anyone else. but the fact is, it's not that watchmen is overated, because it isn't. Nor will it ever be. You just WANT it to be so someone will agree with you. Leave. Don't bother commeting here. just leave this vid in peace, and never come back. because here, you have no support.

  • @georgemiser "If mainstream crimefighters did exist on Earth, the WOULD have faults."

And apparantly, you didn't hear that characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Hulk, Iron Man, and about 3 to 4 dozen others, all of whom I love, were created specifically to be flawed superheroes.

And yes, "Watchmen" is overrated, "The Dark Knight" rules, and "The Avengers", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Dark Knight Rises", and "The Man of Steel" will also rule. You know it in your heart to be true.

  • @JRserver and you know in your heart that that is bullshit. watchmen is not overated. as i said, you just want it to be. i told you not to reply. you did. automatically, you lost the argument. this is your last chance to back away and spare me exposing you as the guy, who cannot stand to have his perspective of right and wrong challenged by something like watchmen any further. prove to bme that your the better man by not replying. then maybe i might start listening to anything you say.

  • @georgemiser Nope, I don't want it to be. I would have LOVED to have not walked out of this pile of crap at the halfway point, and since the movie is pretty much taken verbatim from the graphic novel, I don't have to lay any blame at the feet of Zack Synder - it's all Alan Moore's fault!

And just what do you plan to do in retaliation for me replying? Is that supposed to be a threat. Ooooh, I'm shaking!

  • @JRserver you say you love batman, yet you talk trash about Alan Moore, who wrote the story that turned Barbera Gordon into Oracle, band gave the comic reading world the most influential origin for the joker. The Killing Joke.

Good day to you. it's been a pleasure. ^^

  • @georgemiser Yes, because when I say I totally blame Alan Moore for how bad Watchmen is, I am therefore making a blanket condemnation for anything he's ever written. That's sort of like saying that Steven Spielberg is the worst director of all time because "War of the Worlds" sucked.

Is that really the best you can do? I'm insulted.

  • @JRserver It doesn't matter what you tell me. i still think you're an ideot for insulting watchmen. Maybe you'd like it more if it was the same stuff we see in all ther superhero comics, IE superheroes fighting crime, instead of something with a message. sonething philosophical that makes you question your perspective of humanity's morals. The fact is, if you took the time to listen to people explane why you're wrong, maybe you'd learn something. This argument is over. as far as i care, i win.

  • @georgemiser "It doesn't matter what you tell me. i still think you're an ideot for insulting watchmen."

And the absolute value of that comment to me is worth two and a half times the square root of chicken crap.

  • @georgemiser "Maybe you'd like it more if it was the same stuff we see in all ther superhero comics, IE superheroes fighting crime, instead of something with a message. sonething philosophical that makes you question your perspective of humanity's morals."

Except that "Watchmen" isn't the first comic book or movie to do that. In fact, if you watch "The Dark Knight" you can't miss it.

  • @JRserver

damn dude you're so painfully ignorant hahah

  • @pein05 Wow. Is that really the best you've got? I'm insulted! At least the other guy had the decency to write entire paragraphs full of four letter expletives at me. That's the thing I love about Watchmen worshippers - the utter inability to defend this pile of shit they claim to be a masterpiece :P

  • @JRserver Suddenly, your willful ignorance makes me want to come to your home, rip your tongue out and nail it to your ass. the burden of proof is on you and always has been. utill you can prove otherwise, enjoy talking out of your ass.

  • @georgemiser IF the burden of proof were on my ass, I don't think you'd be so insecure in your affection for Watchmen as to threaten me for proclaiming Watchmen to be overrated and The Dark Knight to be a masterpiece. Sheesh, bro, you kiss your mother with that mouth?

  • @JRserver the only reason you have continued this argument to this point, is for the express reason that you hate people explaining to you all the reasons why watchmen's social and moral messages make it such a good comic, not to mention all the reasons why you're wrong. as for that cult comment? why not take a good long look in the mirror with the other Dark Knight fanboys?

  • @georgemiser I'll do that, and I'll walk away from the mirror that much happier that I see "Watchmen" for the highly overrated phenomenon it is and "The Dark Knight" for the masterpiece that it is :P

  • @J7nate Can't you guys agree that both were good movies? whether one is better than the other IS subject to opinion, and Ledger's death didn't effect my view of his version the the Joker. I didn't know until much later that he died, and I still though he was great. I never read the Watchmen comic and I liked it

  • @Hoppus217 But that means that Manhattan is the furthest thing from a superhero. A superhero, by definition, is a person with extraordinary powers who could, by all means, conquer the world, but instead chooses to use his or her powers to help people.

  • @JRserver From what I noticed manhattan isn't a superhero. Think to yourself, some minor revealations change how you look at things, would you really look at mankind, or this planet the same way again? No. Watchmen interests me because manhattan is a more realistic projection of what a superbeing would be like. This movie actually needs intelligence to interpret, as a result I say this is one of the best characters created by man.

  • let me see his dick!

  • I wonder if Dr.Manhattan could make normal people like him. All god-like and stuff. that'd be an interesting development.

  • two people who disliked dont like blue peters lol

  • I wonder who would win in a battle between Dr Manhattan or the Beast from Infamous. Opinions?

  • @AlphaOmega804 Dr. Manhattan

  • I love Dr. Manhattan. he makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

  • @darth284

you obviously have very little analytical skills. He's "dull" because he sees the entire universe in a completely different way than we do. His mind drifts off into his own world and he could care less about the inferior humans around him and their trivial lifestyles.

Think about it. If you were suddenly turned into a godlike being with little memory of what it is like to be "human", would you still act the same or even care about acting the same as before? I doubt it. It's simple

  • @pein05 i don't know if memory has anything to do with it so much as understanding of what it's like to be more

  • @TehAl3X

memory has everything to do with it. He doesn't remember what its like to perceive life as a regular human being would. He doesn't care about those lifestyles anymore, because he's come to understand the universe and life in a completely different way

  • its funny, how the first thing we are introduced to manhatan we are introduced to his ass-____- great

  • manhattan is a lame character.

"I have all these powers, but I come off as really dull....I can't even keep my girl, and I get outwitted by the villain. The best part of my character development is my cgi wanker."

  • i was probably in depression from suffering too much to get interested in this movie.

  • when i rented this movie i watched the first couple minutes & just coudn't get into it & shut it off?????????

  • amazing................lilly & carl came up from florida, they came to mom & dad's to pray for me and during the prayer i had my eyes closed and lilly was all excited (you know how she gets) and she said "OMG charlie your glowing" & i could honestly see this blue glow around me (my eyes are closed).

  • I think watchmen is probably one of the best movies ever made. the best superhero movie ever made for sure. so interesting and mind blowing. The best quotes ive heard are from dr manhattan.

  • was anyone else really pissed that silk spectre cheated on him?

  • @Hoppus217 He doesn't seem to have any morals or values. Instead, he comes off as acting almost purely on logic and reason.

  • @Hoppus217 i like your analysis but I also think that even though he doesn't care he wants to have a reason to. He wants to find something to fight for. He is one of my all time favorites

  • @Sn000kerAble Anther who doesn't get the meaning behind Manhattan...

  • Dr Manhattan

  • @Sn000kerAble Hes a really interesting charactor, how can you say hes the "baddest thing in this whole fricking movie"? Srsy dude.

lol but now your getting trolled by the Youtubers |:]

  • @Hoppus217 Actually i think he is the most realistic rational character(of great power).Because any creature to have the superman-like powers and have the same moral values of a still evolving low life being(a mere mortal human of the 21 century)Is a joke.It is only rational that an entity evolved to that point where it views time and space as they are.Where it has understand all the secrets of infinity,to be like and what Dr.Manhattan is.And not to be concerned with mere humans affairs.

  • @FBFTheRagingWarrior Alturism is a "moral valu[e] of a still evolving low life being"? Really? Is pure Objectivism the only possible outcome?

  • @Volf99 I think it only looks like Pure Objectivism, but what really is going on in his mind is beyond understanding. As he is one with future and past(himself) he is one with many copies of him ,which all to different processes and much more happens in his brain at one single moment of time.Thats why he said to his girl "Only if you could perceive time as i do". That's why he looks so absent all the time.

  • love rorschach's little sad face at 1:46

  • @Sn000kerAble I assume you lack the ability to understand complex concepts.

  • HRM.

  • Dr. manhattan is like a mixture beetwen superman and silver surfer, but have the mind of martian manhunter and ozimandias have the mind of batman, both are very intelligents and smart but diferents.

  • "your mind goes to dark places and you wonder why i keep the worst from you"

    owned.

  • ok, i didn't see watchman, but from this clip, it's clear and apparent that this dude needs his own movie.

  • @Sn000kerAble

Please stop and think before you comment, if you were truly intelligent you would know that emotions only cloud your judgement.

  • @Sn000kerAble critics can't take movies down. Besides that: ok.

  • batman's brother?

  • @Sn000kerAble That's the point you idiot...what a failed comment.

  • holy shit i come back here a year later and my comment is voted up by 72 ups. If only I was this popular in real life haha

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ZOMG it's the god of smurfs

  • Anyone else noticed how dr Manhattan turned metal into glass at 2:39?

  • He... Was so... Damn blue...

  • large cock

  • I love how he says "but you are going to leave disappointed" and that's exactly what happens.

A minute later in this same scene, he says "say hello to Dan for me", yet Laurie has no intention calling Dan at that moment with saying "What?", but Dr.M already seen that event unfold in his future.

    OMG I love Dr.M concept.

  • @epsilon881 He knows what's going to happen, yet he's still surprised by it when it happens. He's not as excised from humanity as he believes himself to be. His view of everything being pre-determined (even his responses) reflects this.

  • 1:47 sad smiley face :(

  • Get out of my head, you big smurf!

  • "But Your Going To Leave Disappointed" LOVE his voice

  • this dr manhattan guy s voice and way of speaking is very disturbing

  • You know, she would have stuck around for Jon. She would have. She tried so freaking hard to make their relationship work. But Jon saw it all, the whole relationship crashing down before his feet, and he did nothing to stop it because he knew he couldn't stop time. That's what I hate though. I know that if he had the choice, he would have done all he could to be with Silk. GAH. THIS COMIC IS BEAST.

  • pleas let me show you lol is tha claer in off bitch soo GTFO nooow

  • The only reason this video is censored, is because Dr. Manhattan blurred out his own genitalia so the kiddies can watch the video.

  • those observes guys from fringe seem like they were based off manhattan. the way they percieve time

  • stop griefing Rorschach

  • This bitch knows why she is sticking around because dr manhattan is a living god.

  • @Hoppus217 Yeah Doc Manhattan is a very limited fellow.

  • Dr. Manhattan's voice reminds me of Michael Scofield.

  • @Hoppus217

Well he does. He said it is possible to remember the future, because time is abstract. Only human brain works differently.

  • @Hoppus217

Well, Dr Manhattan can "remember" the future. But, "remembering" means to know something that happened, so he doesn't try to change anything.

  • 1:42 "Player Rorshach has been banned from this server"

  • I am never eating a blue popsicle or drinking blue Gatorade ever again after seeing Dr. Manhattan's junk in da trunk onscreen.

  • @Hoppus217 go kill yourself its a youtube video

  • "I must get back to my work..." hello?! if he's dr fucking manhattan why doesn't he duplicate himself like in every other scene.. he could still be talking to them AND continue his work simultaneosly..

  • Who wanna see some guy naked? Why don't they dress him up lil bit.

  • 2:21 Brain damage :D

  • Strange, but I wonder if he still had to shit, even fictionally.

  • "Really, it's just a question of reassembling the components in the corrent sequence..."

-Dr. Manhattan from the Motion Comic.

  • doc manhattan became kind of irritating after a point.

  • @theQuestion626 Did you read the Comic?

  • @fatweaselproductions yeah I did and I'll say he was interesting in the comic book whereas in the film he seemed pretentious.

  • @theQuestion626 Yeah, I thought you meant just in general, because he was extremely interesting in the comic.

  • Manhattan has a nice bum ;)

It's especially crazy to imagine what that would be like at such a gigantic size!

  • Please somebody know song which is start after this scene. Thank you very much :-)

  • why dr manhattan naked?

  • @Dhurdle2 I guess when you're a immortal being to whom space and time are but the same thing, where your whole existence is made up of nothing but plot spoilers, where everyone you know and love, is everyone you've already lost and moved on from, you'd probably wonder why pants are so important, too.

  • @Dhurdle2 why arent you naked?

  • i really like the performance of manhatten. billy crudups voice is cool, calm and collected.

  • I haven't read and the movie looks awesome

  • @Joekid585 Read the book first, books are always better than movies.

  • The movie haters can EAD......Always talking about how the book was better.......I bet if they had seen the movie before they read the book, they would have said the movie was better.

  • @anditslikethat

probably right. but a lot of die-hard-fans see their literature get brought higher in some ways, and distilled in others. There's no reason Watchmen couldn't have maintained the same sincerity while rising through the movie-making vehicle. aka laurie and to a certain extent veidt.

  • @anditslikethat I have seen the movie before I read the book, and yet I find the book is better. However, I still like the movie.

  • I think Dr. Manhattan is kinda spooky. Though he seems "all knowing" and stuff he has become inhuman which is scary.
