  • i dont care of westerns, but i love the singer and the song!

  • Enjoying this in Switzerland, Sir.

  • excelent

  • after watchng this for the first time a few days ago i must admit this is now one of my favorite films of all time and i'm only 18 any one know any simelar films

  • @lookie1992 If you like b/w movies I highly recommend `Some Like it Hot` starring Marylin Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon, you will laugh your socks off .. x

  • These were the kind of movies that gave America her character and values filled with honor and righteousness, however today Hollywood is like a woman during her period.

  • One of my favorite Jimmy Stewart movie. Stewart was my favorite actor.

  • They would hide.........

  • isnt that curt douglas in that film too?

  • to FrankClanton: they should have cast you and two funeral home corpses--that my grandniece (whom was visiting over in the uk) say she saw you fuck-that would have been perfect casting and right up your alley-or ass....

  • "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" was a Paramount film.

  • One of the great lines of western movies-

"liberty valence is the toughest man south of the picketwire- "NEXT TO ME"

    A classic!!

Where is "the Duke" when we need him most??

    RIP

  • Im young, and the new cowboy movies have not flavor to me. The old black and white ones have my eye, they just have a style and work that was good

  • I think that the main message in this film is the fact that Stewart took Waynes glory. Wayne always looked out for the opportunity to shoot Marvin. But Stewart done it. Dude.

  • wow; a great western

  • Both Wayne and Stewart were far too old for their characters. They should have cast Paul Newman and Steve McQueen.

  • @FrankClanton this film was damn near perfect but thanks for your intrest

  • also featured bad guys I loved to hate, Lee Van Cleef, who went on to "spaghetti westerns"(A Few Dollars More, etc) and Strother Martin, who's claim to fame is for the line

"What we've got here...is... failure ...to communicate" (Cool Hand Luke)

  • yes 'the became great Actor's i agee'

    thank you friend! jimmy!

  • What a great lineup - John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin (one of my favs) ... now they were movie stars!

  • Interestingly the song was never part of the movie soundtrack.

  • your wright' the song is the whole story

told' a great ballad! thank;s jimmy!

  • I love this movie and the song is great too!

  • Great Movie. I saw it at the Halsted Outdoor Theater in Riverdale, Illinois when it was first released.

  • Then they would be far too young to play old men :-) anyway, i like the movie. Thank you for posting the video

  • I don't like western style movies, but very good song anyhow.

  • aregoto! gozaiemusu'lol jimmy!

  • did you know that Jame's Stewart'

    made a movie'called Harvey! ha!ha!

    thanks! jimmy!

  • Easy to make a flippant comment. State your case.

IMHO, this is a classic song and movie!! I'll make my case when you make yours!

  • Both Wayne and Stewart were far too old to be playing young men. Paul Newman and Steve McQueen should have been cast, and the film should have been made on location in Monument Valley in Technicolor.

  • One of my all time favorite movie and song!!

  • me too! thank you friend! jimmy!

  • A far too old Stewart ruined the film.

  • oh!i don't think he done so bad!

    thanks! jimmy!

  • He was far too old to play a young lawyer. Anthony Perkins would have been a better choice, with Steve McQueen as Doniphon.

  • maybe you should have produced this movie!

i'm sure it would have been a disater

ha!ha! the wright actor's did pretty good in my opinion! jimmy!

  • What kind of program did you use to make this video?

  • oh! just the windows movie maker' it's easy

to use!it has everthing you need!

    thanks O.G.P!LOL lol jimmy!

  • Thanks. Every time I try to use Windows Movie Maker it loses my files! Glad it works for you.

  • Try the upgrade version 5.1' it's free!

go to google and download it it's much better

then the old one!more option's too!

    good luck O.G.P! lol jimmy!

  • John Wayne= GW Bush, rough around the edges, not real erudite, hated by some and misunderstood by most, understands what we are up against ,does the necessary dirty work from the shadows, silently, quietly. and does not brag about it.Takes hits but is most concerned about protecting those he cares for...

  • well said my friend! thank you friend!

    jimmy!

  • @watcherofolde That's an insult to John Wayne, who was a good actor, whatever else you might say about him. Bush got four thousand American soldiers killed in an unnecessary war in Iraq and still didn't catch Osama. He's earned his place in the list of the five worst presidents in American history, and looking at the way things are going right now, he may just have destroyed the Republican Party as well. Come to think of it... that might improve his historical standing....

  • If the movie is a metaphor--who would the characters stand for--right in the here and now? I say;Liberty Valance=Terrorism, Islamofacist "bullies"...Jimmy Stewart= Clinton and Obama... educated, talks the good talk..Good ole'guys, popular, doing good deeds.. BUT basically ineffectual against the evil they face...

  • and i ageed! thank you! jimmy!

  • Any movie that has John Wayne in it is a winner to me, but I loved this one especially.

  • i agreed! a real winner!thank you friend!

    jimmy!

  • One of the 10 best ever made.

  • i agree! a great movie!thank you friend! jimmy!

  • thank you friend~ jimmy!

  • I saw this when it came out.James Stewart knew he would lose and probably die, bur "rifht and truth" stood up to Wrong and Lies" .It was obvious who would win until Liberty Valance fell dead (shot from the side by a hidden John Wayne). This gave the public hope though they didn't know who really killed the evil.

  • thank you Moshe! a very great movie! but it

was obvious! that John Wayne did it! it fooled me for a while too! lol jim!

  • Oh its an old nitch , no wonder your good at it *****+ :o)tm

  • thank you Dave! i love old western's!lol jim!

  • Good song, but movie too violent.

  • i agree Atter! Lee Marvin, strong actor!

  • Strange! On the record I have, it says Gene Pitney............

  • i was talking about the movie, liberty vallance is the name movie! gene pitney sing's the song in it! lol jim

  • Ha-ha..

  • The song was SUPPOSE to be part of the movie, but a misunderstanding somewhere in negotiations caused it to left out.

  • My favorite, too. I have the movie, and the Gene Pitney CD that has the song. I listen to it a lot.

  • Thanks! This is my wife and Is favorite movie. I love the song. Does anyone know if you can put these on a CD after you add them to the playlist?

  • thank you cong! youtube dose not allow it yet sorry, maybe some day they will ? lol,jim

  • So good! Thanks!

  • thank you very much!

  • Gene Pitney wrote this song!

  • thats rite friend ! thank you!

  • "Liberty Valance" was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David...

  • nice work! cool video!

  • I think John Wayne wanted the girl. He's bitter about for the entire film. He had issues.

  • hi!atter!yes he was! he did'nt like the idea of haveing to shoot lee marvin in that way!he realy

wanted a shoot-out face to face! but john ford wanted

it that way!john wanyne is no couword!?did you see

my me playing the song i just uoloaded it!friend jim

  • he did want her but gave her up cause he knew he loved his horse more and two old hags couldnt fit inside his condo. I think andy devine and the duke were a item?

  • you're funny.

  • he didnt make the songhe just added pictures

  • you need to be a little nut's sometime's!

    ha!ha! lol jim

  • He was the bravest of them all...

  • yes the best cowbow ever! a great man true to life and death!true grit!jim

  • Quiz: who's the singer?

  • hi!atter! the singer's name is gene pitney from the

60's well know for that time!great singer!thank you

    for asking!friend jim

  • Correct, my friend.
