  • @ lilbasterdly, try clearing your cache, or clear your browsing history, hope that helps.

  • Is it only me to experience various videos stopping and starting throughout the entire clip? It's a stuttering singer and has reached the extremely aggravating stage. Terrific videos being spoiled by this hesitating.

  • @lilblubasterdify Another Tip.........Press the stop button (arrow) on the video ......give it 30 seconds to load & press play. We all suffer the same problems no matter what speed internet we have.

  • love this song it always makes me laugh, so sad they are all gone, bless them. R.I.P.

  • Tom was the "hardy heart" of the Clancy Bros. I loved when he introduced himself and his brothers on stage.... "..and last but 'most" I am Tom Clancy!"

Too bad he ignored some of the early signs of stomach cancer... he may have been with us a bit longer. God Bless'em All!

  • Can hardly believe they're all gone now! I grew up on The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. I knew the words to "Finnegan's Wake" before I could read.

  • This song was composed by a man from County Kerry ~~ Seán McCarthy R.I.P. in the early 70's. (His brother Mick used to own a famous folk pub in Dublin, Ireland ~~ The Embankment,Tallaght)

  • Makes me fiercely proud of my Irish ancestry. No American should ever forget that it was Irish immigrants that built this country!

  • Love this song. Haha, been there, done that. Damn redheads...

  • everytime i listen 2 this song i stil have 2 belt out along with it n dance ha

  • Excellent!!!

  • Great stuff,of a bygone age!

  • It' s not of a bygone age. The singers change but the songs, stories and memories, which ignore borders, stay the same. That's why it's called folk music, the music of the people! RIP lads.

  • Written by the late Seán McCarthy from County Kerry. He also wrote Shanagolden (see clip on my channel) Lovely ballad.

  • irelands greastest

  • sounds like my lovelife these past four decades...no... actually better than my lovelife. At least he had an excuse; she's a redhead. Nothing better for the ways a man can get into trouble than a red-headed woman, and her sweet smile.

  • So true!

  • love thisstuff

  • R.I.P Tom

  • Fantastic!!!!!

  • Many thanks for this post Conman. One of my favorites.
