  • It's still a good landing though. A good landing is where you can walk away from.

  • his passenger were in hurry to dive in the beach

  • What a jerk.

  • Love how the fire engine had sirens on but still went about 5 mph down the run way! kicking it back...

  • Airport code?

  • why didnt he go around???

  • Lovely day for the beach Ladies!!

  • He couldn't access the flaps.

  • At least he touched down on the touch down zone.. sadly on the other end of the runway! What an idiot

  • that is one crap pilot ... landing so far down the runway

  • sounds like he doesnt takes it very serious

  • I wonder if he had the wind at his back?

  • this crash dosent make any sens to me

  • Cooling some engine?!

  • Tooo long...

  • 1:42 "la la la walkin down the beach. oh hey look an airplane."

  • made my day. this is fucking awesome xDD

  • Think it was a Beech 58 .. not an aztek .... too fast.. should have went around ..... must've been a hot day too to float like that.

  • thumbs up to whoever owns this camera.... the quality is crisp and the zoom is nice.

  • @ClubBangerTV and he is smooth as hell with it too.

  • at :26, was the perfect time to abort this landing very safely. Looks liek he had about 3 good seconds to think about it.

  • Im not even a pilot, but look at the runway and the RUBBER tire marks ( skid marks from the tires made on landing ) . If YOURS are the furthest down the runway, yeagh then maybe its time to abort immediately before you even touch down, and go around again, and he had plenty of time and enough runway to do just that . the brakes are not gonna stop you at that ground speed.

  • Thank god someone uilt the tiny litle fucking airport at st barts...

  • To the pilot's credit: nobody on that flight got seriously injured. Furthermore, the landing strip on the island of St. Barth is not only extremely short; there's also a hill on the side from which the jet was approaching it. On top of that, there was a strong wind blowing. Given the circumstances, it could have ended much worse. But yes, if you, as a pilot, haven't touched the ground after three quarters of the runway, you just have to go full throttle and give the landing a second attempt.

  • OK.. What we learn today!!!!!

    GO around!!!

  • if we quit alcohol we would know that osama after all didnt do all this...

  • 'That kinda.... blows' lol

  • it's fake... seriously no one can see that? the plane was done in an animation program, probably maya. same with the truck and fire truck. great job though

  • that kayaker doesnt give a damn that day..

  • Looks like the pilot divided by zero when calculating the stopping distance

  • i dont blame him...that water looks inviting....

  • Take That, Rich People who have multiple houses on beautiful islands that the rest of us can't really afford to buy without selling one of our favorite cars!

  • stupid pilot... really i they say stupid monkey on tv. :)

  • Assuming the plane wasn't malfunctioning, wouldn't it be better to circle round and land from the water end? Just for safesies.

  • @Bobobidodo depends on the wind man...if you land into the wind your ground speed and subsequently your stopping distance is shorter. If you look at the wind sock at 0:28 you can see that he chose the correct runway...except he should have aborted his landing five seconds before that. Nobody is perfect though, I guess...

  • @64wing Ah ok thanks man :)

  • @Bobobidodo My pleasure! Keep up that interest in flying, we're going to need more pilots. Consider taking a discovery flight at your local airport to see if it is something you may be interested in! (I always try to promote flying as a career lol...marketing student who just happens to be a pilot. I annoy people lol) Peace!

  • @64wing Hi there, I just happened upon your comment... Ive been wanting to fly since I was a kid, and its still in my veins though some challenges and different life direction means that now I'm 32 and still no flying! lol I'd be greatful if I can email you for some advice for someone who is still very keen on flying. You sound like a Qantas captain I know well, he always encourages me, and has me well informed of the pilot shortage :) Hope to chat to you! Many thanks, John

  • @jlebesis Feel free to message me via YouTube anytime, I'll do my best to check my inbox frequently! If I don't know the answer to a question, I'll do my best to find one for you.

  • @64wing That's greatly appreciated! Thanks very much :) Ill be sure to send a message in the next few days.

  • that guy was stupid man

  • people loves to talk, but hate to think...if you were or are a pilot , may be you could understand that situation..to really know what happened, you should be in that cabin, were you?!!

  • Comment removed

  • The pilot was Asian, thought he had enough room due to the bad depth perception :S

  • ...what the !!!... go -around throttle up and try again ... there must have been a fuel problem to stop him doing so .. no way could anyone have stopped that happening.

  • I watched a show on the worlds most dangerous airports and it had this exact video and if I'm not mistaken they said it was a low-hour pilot and his first ever attempt at this airport. Still, he should have realized that when you are an 1/8 mile past the touchdown zone, you should go around.

  • Couldnt land the other way due to prevailing winds. Every pilot in the caribbean knows about this runway so be prepared to go around. I worked for Virgin Air (pre Branson, not related to Virgin Atlantic) in the 80's and my boss landed a DC3 there. Not an easy runway, have to skim close to the top of the hill to td near the numbers. Must be prepared to go around or go swimming.

  • Too high too fast. Go-Around! Go-Around! Go-Around!

Lack of Basic Flying and Judgement.

  • The pilot didn't touch down until over halfway down the runway........either he had mechanical problems or he had little experience at landing at that airport...either way.....he screwed up a good airplane.

  • no dude. lukla is. you can land a 737 there, but the approach is a bunch of bullshit.

  • WORLDS HARDEST RUNWAY LMAO

  • why not just land in the other direction? =S

  • callous, cold narrating. no humanity. idiot

  • @wintermutecaboose Think about it: It was not like there was an MD-11 or something flying into a mountain and blowing up...this guy only got stuck in the sand and obviously not THAT much of a damage was taken either by the plane or the passangers...not saying this crash isn't to be taken serious, but i don't think the cameraman's reaction was "wrong" :P

  • This guys narraration is the best

  • thats gotta ruin your day XD

  • way too fast and too high...maybe he was high...

  • @onceANexile he/she was a little fast, and should have landed at or before the first white bar you see on the runway. Otherwise, he/she would need to do a go-around.

  • or maby the pilot have beer then he gets crazy and land at the water

  • that kinda, blows.....waw....

  • THAT KINDA blowsss.

  • He should have toched down on the one end and slow down. Touching down halfway down the runway, should've aborted and made a go around

  • AVCHD, eh? Your camera wouldnt happen to be a Panasonic by any chance?

  • The cameraman is hilarious

  • Sand landing right on the beach lol, he should have aborted, touch down on 3/4 of the runway...

  • 'That kinda blows'

  • BEST. SEA. SEA. TV. CAPTURE. EVER.

  • @distumorbenasty hahaha

  • oooooooooooww crap!! that.. kinda.....blows

  • They guy came in way to high and hot to land. I don't understand why he didn't throttle up and come around for a second pass. Must have been some OLDER right BASTARD from the states... I'd bet money on it!!!

  • I love the nararation. haha "thats guys gotta stop"

  • Wow, that kinda blows...

  • @tlv156...unfortunately...its probably a psychological issue known as "get down itus"...i give flight instruction in oklahoma...you find it more and more common to see a pilot choose to try and force a landing than going around and setting up for a second attempt...its really a pride thing in my opinion...but you are right...the pilot should have aborted after he used the first half of the runway floating in ground effect...

  • @slagathor757 Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a bit too steep of a dive to begin with? I saw that the ground was there, but the pilot could of made a longer approach, right? That just seemed like too fast, even for the size of the plane.

  • Looks like he came in too fast...not a good day for this pilot!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • St. Barths has so short runway so the fire station is 400 meters from the runway ready for anything, and this must be a record 36 seconds to destination.

  • "wow CRA *bribes symptoms* P"

  • Damn check out those fresh skidmarks! He was like FUUUUUCCCCKKKK for about 3 seconds there.

  • lol...it seems like that dragon fly was thirsty ...lol

  • And the winner of todays Flugtag is.......

  • Maybe trying to land on a 1000 ft runway was the problem

at first I thought maybe he lost his breaks because he killed the power to both engines, but he left some nice skid marks on the runway so obviously his breaks were working.

  • u stupid...ur seeing d sea colour...

  • Hahaaa! 'Ooo..........................crap' XD

  • the guy waited until he was three quarters down the runway to touchdown...

  • @sopee01 uhm it wasn't his choice to land three quarters down the runway. He carried too much speed on the approach which made the plane float. During the flare it's actually not up to the pilot when to touchdown.

  • "that kinda...blows." hahaa

  • @slater58 Haha, just said that to myself, then looked down at the comments, hah.

  • Differential brake mistake maybe.

  • Damn stupid pilots :-(

  • "Oh...crap....that kind of ... blows." XD

  • Yep.... I love Drunk People (:

  • If he had then jumped out in shorts with a towel and gone swimming this vid would be the best landing ever!

  • this was ared on TV last night, should have pushed the stick forward after he went past the first two white squares, oh well, so long as they walked away....

  • lmao, "tht kinda blows..."

  • That kind of...blows Lmfao

  • Damn he land the plane too late! That's why he could not make it. Oh Well I hope whoever was in the is okay.

  • ok i dont see how people can dislike this or like it...

  • @wizard101tc because there fucking morons mate, if there was a button for more chesse they would press it XD

  • lol

never land on a slippery runway XD

    or this will happen XD

  • i bet the 6 year old steal his dady plane

  • noone helps the guy?

  • Think he waited long enough to put it on the pavement!

  • this looks like a flick from austin powers

  • Osama should never have got his pilot's licence.

  • lol, why in the world wouldn't that pilot have simply aborted the landing? wonder if the pilot was having mechanical trouble. it's the only thing that makes any sense to me.

  • @tlv156 agreed I would have aborted the and came around for another approch but he might have shut off the engines so yea they may have been why he went off the runway.

  • @tlv156 Yea it was an obvious go around, but he might have been trying to land long time, so he was running out of fuel or so....

  • @tlv156

The emergency vehicle enters the scene about 30 seconds after the crash, which seems awfully quick. So the plane probably had notified the control tower of a problem

  • @Cherimoya9 No it's St. Barts SBH !!! One of the hardest runways to land on in the world actually... Watch videos of commercial jets landing here!!! It's friggin insane really...

  • @tlv156 alot of pilots wont abort landings if passengers are with them because they don't think it looks cool >_>

  • @winningfreak1 uhhhh what?

  • The idiot didn't have enough room to land properly, he should've waved off, & came back around to land correctly.

  • Canadians in the caribbean.

  • Fancy having a zebra crossing at then end of a runway. Strange.

  • WOW, craaap.....

  • That kind of blows. LOL

  • The person commentating this is an idiot... notice he/she never ran to help.... he must think this is a video game... Thank GOD we did have anyone like this in WW!! on our side.......... §iX ♠ oot

  • @Red1Six notice how it's a plane landing at an airport? yeah, usually there's trained people there ready for that kind of situation.

  • @Red1Six You cannot simply blunder on to an active runway because you want to "help". It is not only illegal but also useless since they have people (did you notice the firetruck that got their within 40 seconds) for that very purpose.

  • @Red1Six

You're obviously dumb, this airport has a giant hill that makes it unique and dangerous, and the commentator is on the giant hill, so it will take him 10 minutes to walk down there.

  • @Red1Six

Yeah he should have jumped the fence and run the 800m to get to the plane that crashed into a shallow beach... god your a moron. did you notice how quick the fire engine was there? You know why? Because the crash happened at an airport and there are officials working there all the time. What do you suggest this guy should have done?

  • @Red1Six

Notice they are an airport where obvioulsy, you have not heard of. An airport is where planes land and take off and there is usually trained, I repeat, TRAINED officials to take care of it. It's not like yu can just walk onto the runway. Also notice the emergency vehicle sent out.

  • LOL

  • - so how was your holidays? did you see anything interesting?

    - yes, the Sea, the food and a plane crash.

  • What kind of stupid FUCK builds a AirPort on a 20x10m plot?

  • @Fuxser

Well, this was probably the ONLY part of that small island which was flat enough to build an airport on. It says it's in the Caribbean, and some islands there are pretty much "20x10m" in size.

Where's YOUR logic? They didn't just randomly pick some micro spot and if there had been a better place they would build it there.

  • "That kinda.. Blows?"

  • Watch out for the.....shit

  • Nice skid marks.

  • What an idiot.

  • Slow response with the fire truck because the guy driving was working the grill at the resorts poolside bistro. He only part time and on Sunday the bellhop drives the firetruck. Welcome to the islands man......relax.

  • At the very least it was in paradise, Look at that fucking place.

  • "that kinda ...blows" xDDDD

  • he should have went on a go around

  • good luck on right time right place

  • can the fire engine go any slower??

  • this was on a tv show on history channel and its called the worlds most dangerous airports

  • Landed on the last third of the runway.

  • Did the pilot get his licence out of a christmas cracker?

  • Well...they made it I guess.

  • ..................

  • Dear god the camera man's commentary is freaking hysterical. Brilliant.

  • ''That Chicks gotta stop'' Fixed it for ya broski.

  • LOL

  • @satojinnthehero it is not fake at all

  • Never place from the first third of the track! Basic procedure for landing.

  • Never place from the first third of the track! Basic procedure for landing.

  • came in too fast

  • fake & gay

  • missed approach.........

  • lol

  • That approach was perfect. St Barth's is a challenging place to get into. He should have gone around when he couldn't get it on the ground, though.

  • tooooo high, toooo fast ,,short runway, dint abort the landing when he noticed that he was going to over shoot the runway,,,,,,,probably a roockie, but at the end what you got ,,,,,,,,,AN AVOIDABLE CRASH.

  • look at the sea color, amazing

  • @patladjanko yup that the Caribbean i live in the Caribbean and it's always sunny out side (SO that Means windsurf, surf, wake boarding, kite surfing. ecz)

  • @joanou94 you want me to be jelaous? Well you did it. You made me feeling jealous :-) Greeting to Caribbean and to the wonderful beaches :-)

  • @patladjanko lol HAHAHA XD

  • @patladjanko please lets not forget the yellowish colored grass on both sides of the runaway that needs some watering!

  • "Wow, that.......blows."

  • wow too bad this happened! took too long to set her down...wow

  • That is not a horse or donkey. It is a goat. I almost hit one at Virgin Gorda, it was brown color just as the color of the muddy turf runway. After touching down on the Aztec, at about 80/85 mph, I saw it giving me the right and stopped on the edge of the runway just watching me pass at that speed. They keep a cool face like thats what they do many times a day. They have many nice goat diches in the lesser Antilles. After that I wanted to buy one and cook it. One less goat to hit next time.

  • I sense something bad's going to happen.

  • If this was a James Bond movie, the plane would have exploded at least twice by now.

  • There's a lot to be said for knowing when to abort and go around.

  • damn... right at the start its way too fast and i think he wanted to make a "smooth touch down" ;) awesome

  • whoopsie - bent airplane

  • Is it a training aircraft?

It might be a re-rise no matter how it judges it.

  • the pilot was sToNeD

  • my ass touch and go

    its call a go around

    you r the dumbass

  • Aircrash.sukhoi.ru - a new russian website about aviation disasters.

  • Clevland Brown was flying that plane. "WHAT THE HELL! Nononononononoooooo!

Awwwww, this gonna look bad on my record."

  • "That kinda... blows" xD

  • Every pilot is taught about a go~no go point on the runway. If your plane has not taken off by a certain point on the runway ( for your aircraft and runway length ) YOU STOP. None of this dramatic movie crap about " I...I... I think we can make it... common..." The same applies to landings. If your so far down the runway you do what is known as a "touch-n-go" . A "touch-n-go" is when you apply full power then pull right back up again. HE WAS 3/4 down the runway before wheels down. DUMBASS!!!

  • stupid pilot !

  • He just needed to continue and come back...

  • Dumb place to have a fruway anyways !!

  • pull up pull up to low pull up

  • that's french firemen siren "pin pon"

to land at ST barth u need a special license.

people stay at the turn on STjean's road because planes have to low pass at this point and cut engines because the track is very short.so people take pictures.sometimes withlittle cars de havilland stol passes 10 meters upon your head, becaus ther'es face wind at this little cliff

  • "That kinda... blows"
