Only one word to sum up season 6 = BORING!! I can't believe these are the same writers who wrote S1,2,4&5 (no S3 coz that sucked too). I got really bored on the episodes where Sam and Dex would talk about religion stuff & Travis was the weakest enemy he had. Dex just got stupid maybe it was bcoz of wormwood but Travis had all his stuff (DL, keys & fone) and he still left his house unprotected. If Gellar was alive then that would be interesting. @Stunatra people have different tastes. for me, the fourth and the sixth seasons are actually the best ones, i loved all the religious thing and dexter's reaction to it. the only thing i would have deleted, that deb-dex incest part in the last episode...
They really overdid season 6 imo, all those HIGHLY unlikely plots (the gas in the station, the pickup at sea, the chance to smash the devils painting, the fact that dexter didn't change locks while his keys and wallet were in the hands of travis, batista surviving travis AND fire, etc.) and way to many storylines stuffed in one season are the result of forcing to create something better than the previous seasons. The nuances, the monologues, the mysteriousness is gone.
Can someone explain what this series is about? It looks REALLY interesting and I wanna start watching it from Season 1.... I don't get why the main character kills people?
@PhunkieProdiG It's basically about a character who has/ a deep rooted desire to kill, while at the same time being some form of psychopath, who can't feel emotions the same way other people can. And the show is basically about him balancing his natural murderous life with normal life, and how he tries to fit in. Obviously each season has a main story line etc, but that's the general background. You should really start watching it though; best show on TV by far.

Yet he is still the protagonist, and the show still manages to make you root for him even though you should, by all logic, despise him. Dexter has an instinctive, uncontrollable urge to kill, but he has a set of morals that he applies to every murder: his targets must be evil people who deserve their fate (so his "victims" are usually sadistic serial killers, rapists, etc.). Viewers cheer for him because he's a vigilante, even though his form of justice is a bit, well, messy.

As for what scientists are actually doing in that research it isn't "killer genetics", it's genetic predisposition relating to anger, aggression and issues that affect ones ability to perceive the world in a "normal" sense.
I read that Michael c Hall would give up his character, and if the production will not agree to his demands for money, is planning to replace it with another actor, I hope it's just a lie, impossible to replace him, and rather better to end the seventh with 6 or season if we will, i hope to see mr Hall again and again
