I am SO sad that so few Democrats have a spine (except Dennis of course). This health care bill is nothing but another capitulation to corporate America... at the expense of REAL Americans (taxpayers).
But let's not blame the Democrats solely... the health care industry has needed fixing for 30+ years.. and neither the Repubs or the Dems have been willing to say no to their campaign contributions, but instead have continued to be corporate wh@res, selling votes for money.
Corporate Welfare is what is bankrupting America, not social welfare. Take a look at the Pentagon, which steals from the taxpayer and gives to its corporate friends.
Defence contractors have been screwing the taxpayer for decades, with the enthusiastic support of Republicans.
Its time to kick out Lockheed and the other welfare sponging failures. Taxpayers money should only be re-invested in the taxpayer.
While I agree HC insurance companies need changes, these Bills are going to cost the middle class a lot of money.
CBO just came out and said the full analysis of HC Bills shows ALL consumers will have an increase in cost of ALL sectors of their living expenses. From Insurance cost to the price of food, as every company will pass their cost on to the consumers.
Another mess from Democrats that is even worst than the Stimulus Bill.
Our nation's virtues of thrift and self-reliance are slipping away with our freedoms under the increasingly tyrannical, centralized, controlling Federal government.
Less individual responsibility means less personal freedoms.
Term limits and the return of citizen politicians I say!

Right on Denny!
No way should HCR include a mandate to give insurance companies and their political grafted cronies one (1) more cent (¢) .
Bush's mandated Rx bill, means you CAN choose a Corp who then raises the price of med.
YOU CAN NOT switch for another year, at which time, you GET to choose again to Pete & RePeat!!!
Imagine ONLY being allowed to go to Wal-Mart for a year while their prices rise!?
Thank you Ooodles for posting Dennis' GREAT speech before his dopey colleges.

The rich are sponging off the working class.
