  • Yep, I learned to rely on own feet or wheels. Once upon a time, tried to routinely use the bus & found I could walk several miles as fast as waiting on the corner 10 min. early for a bus that often arrived 20 min. late -- essentially a random time vs. its schedule.

  • Part 1 ... The main problem is traffic. A-hole drivers can drive anyone nut's. I think just about every road in every town could use, at the very least, one more lane. Also people need to learn to drive more nicely and thoughtfully. If your going to drive slow, fine, pull over when theirs a bunch of people on your ass.

  • Part 2 ... Your obviously not in a rush. Go with the flow is what I'm saying, even if everyone is going 30mph in a 25mph zone. That's probably the main reason they simply can't get from A to B on time. I do think they should add way more to there budgets though.

  • @TheTarrMan

The difference is that an individual in their own car is trying to "get there" the fastest, where the bus could be trying to coordinate with the most people through punctuality -it doesn't have to be the fastest.

Traffic congestion is a technical problem that affects buses. Mass transit has tactics to address timing issues.

  • @PovertyLabs I think they could use more bus lanes, alone with more bus's and drivers. That could help them out getting from A to B on time. I know hear, in the Chicago area, the city recently cut there budget. Now, after all of that, there's talk of them going out of business.
