Yes! You are absolutely right. Everyone is different and there is no such thing as one size fits all. I shared this video to encourage viewers to NOT restrict their caloric intake too low. Most people, but not everyone, needs more than 1200 calories even on a weight loss diet.
To know how many calories a day you need to maintain a certain weight, multiply the weight you need/want to be by 10. That's the secret. It works every time. If you go over, you will weight that. If you go under you will weigh that too. If I ate 1200 a day, I would weigh 120. within a few months. That's not good for my small frame. I eat about 1000 a day and weigh 100. That's the bottom line.
im only 5'1 and I need to lose 20 lbs. when i consume 1200 calories a day I dont lose any weight. It has to bea little lower than 1200 calories. Im moderately active - I walk around the neighborhood 2x a day + everyday normal activities household chores. I think every BODY is different. I wont lose any single pound on a 1200 calorie a day diet. For me i think to maintain my weight i only need to consume1200 calories
You could try eating a vegan diet consisting of 1200-1400 calories per day. Most people encounter fairly dramatic weight loss with that combination. Also, 1400 calories per day is the amount calorie restrictors consume, such as myself.

everyone is different, so there's no such thing as one size fits all in diet or calorie intake.
