herb..... Raven Hall Pool was also Ocean Water the clay intake pipe is still there it goes out from the beach at least 100 yrds. diving you can still see parts encrusted with mussels , starfish + crabs..
A great attempt at keeping Doo Wop alive as it was in it's late stages. This, and My True Story were the best of the lot at keeping the music alive. After these, it was only kept alive by a handful of the hard core street boys like me.
I REMEMBER THIS SONG VERY WELL.. MY FRIENDS AND I SPENT MANY SUMMER DAYS IN CONEY ISLAND . DOES ANYONE REMEMBER OCEAN TIDE SWIMMING POOL AT BAY 22. IT WAS THE ONLY SALT WATER POOL IN CONEY ISLAND. LOTS OF FUN LOTS OF MEMORIES. THANKS FOR THE SONG. IT BOUGHT BACK MANY HAPPY TIMES. BROOKLYN IS THE GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH AND THE GREATEST PEOPLE ON EARTH WERE FROM THERE.
Unreal. The daily trolly trips, subway, etc. The smell as the train was pulling into the station remains ingrained forever. Went to Ft Hamilton 1958 to 62. Green Tea Room and Hinches? This music alone make my heart throb. ..Big T
I AM 71 YEARS OLD AND LIVED IN THE BATH BEACH SECTION OF BROOKLYN DURING THE 1940S. MY MOTHER WOULD TAKE ME TO CONEY ISLAND EVERYDAY DURING THE SUMMER. WE WOULD TAKE THE TROLLEY WHICH COST FIVE CENTS. IN THOSE DAYS CONEY WAS MUCH MORE OF AN ATTRACTION THAN TODAY.
Great job Joe! :)

Thanks for posting. My mom told me that to get into steeplechase park you had to ride a mechanical horse to get in. I saw that in you pics! Wild.
