period ! and toy is a GENIUS ! and has nothin to do with bein a redneck, THATS AN ADDED BONUS!

  • very good!

  • I know not a damn thing

  • Awesome! Thanks for the video!

  • The violin solo is perfect! Great MTB cover!

  • That was amazing. It's funny. I'm a metalhead from the north but any real fan of music appreciates good music like this.

  • Damn straight.I can listen to this and Sepultura. If you don't have an ear for music, its just noise. If you always had hamburgers, you never knew what a steak was

  • Wrtten by the great Toy Caldwell, it's probably the best cowboy song ever.

    See the MTB video.

    This is a nice cover.

  • I jammed with Charlie at Telluride around '87. Say hello for me. I used to do this tune also, I saw the MT band at Englishtown NJ with the Dead around '82.

  • Hey I think that banjo player once tazed me!

  • great unique version, of an already great marshal tucker band..any body know what year this blue grass version was made??

  • 1982! Thanks for comment!!

  • Is that Glenn Campbell on the banjo?

  • Thanks for the Info, and comment! And Good Question!

  • This song was written by Toy Caldwell. The harmony on this version is great.

Charlie Daniels played the fiddle part on the album version and Suzanne played it just as good as he did. I wonder where she's at now.

  • @passover77 Actually, it was Andy Stein who played fiddle on the Marshall Tucker version. The album it was on was a double album. Charlie Daniels played on the live disc, Stein on the studio disc.

  • Yes you do it beautifully , always enjoyed the vocals, im playing along with my bass,

    thansks

  • I would have to check, but I think its a Marshall Tucker original. That's where we heard it. It turned out to be a good song to do with bluegrass instruments.

  • Whats the history of this song?, I know it was in Marshal Tuckers rep, but it sounds like it could have

    some history ..

  • Nice rendition, violinist is sexy :0
