  • I think you said someone said it might be a 265 cu.in....The 265 was the first V8 chevy built for 1955...The 1948 in line 6 cylinder was either a 216 cu.in. or a 235 cu.in...The 235 was optional for Chevy trucks in 48...You would have to match the numbers on the head to the numbers on the block to detremine if it's still a 48 engine and then there's a way to tell...The F on hte block ID indicates where it was made...FA-1001 to FA-825234, will be a 1948...216 cu.in or 235 cu.in...

  • @glk001 ya i realized that after i made the vid lol it has the 235ci in it and it was a numbers matching truck

  • @Needmorehorsepower it decided it wasn't gonna run on that old crap so i had to drain the tank and put fresh in runs better wait for the update vid i decided to change the color theme

  • @Needmorehorsepower Hello . Lead additive is to avoid burning the valves seats of the old engines in using unleaded gas in those engines , it's depends on the year that the engine was manufactured . In the engines of the old time the lead in the gas was used to lubricate the valves , their guides and their seats .I think you know it .
