As for Demi's performance, nicely done. She's always been more of a singer than an actress, obviously. She didn't start out to be 'Disney-like' like those before and after her; it's getting too common for Disney stars to become singers even though they don't have the vocal talent. Demi stands out in a good way; I personally love how she is singing it soulfully like the original song. It gives her more depth as a singer, a musician, and a performer.
