  • I survived it. It wasn't nearly as bad as everyone wants to make it seem.

  • Unfortunately, some media outlets have indeed sensationalized the risks and dangers of H1N1. However, that doesn't change the fact that this flu strain represents a pandemic threat to many people throughout the world, especially pregnant women and individuals under the age of 24. Young people have little immunity to H1N1 and are at far greater risk of contracting it than seasonal flu.

    Only time will tell how damaging this flu strain will be. But that doesn't mean that we can't prepare.

  • Although thimerosal can cause allergic reactions in some people, many doses of vaccine are available without any form of mercurial preservation. Even vaccines preserved with thimerosal are usually done so with trace amounts. As always, consult your personal healthcare provider for more detailed information relating to your health.
