I don't know if they are making a season two or not, but I heard some people talking about season two coming out in April 2008. For OHSHC there are 26 episodes and you are right, most animes have 20-something episodes in total. For Fruits Basket they aren't making anymore episodes.

I think it's episode 5 or 6, I know it's a beginning episode because it's in the first manga. (It's not that important of an episode, cause she isn't really crying...she lost a contact lense when the guy pushed her down. ;_;)
