btw, you can avoid the pow by shaking the wii remote. you still lose items but you don't spin

You can dodge blue shell if you have a mushroom with you or doing a boost, i finish the game 2 days ago. Dry bones, Funky kong and Dry Bowser so fuckin kewl!

Sorry if this is a stupid question but wats the difference between manual and automatic is it controling the drift or something like gears???

It changes how you control drifting.

Automatic you will drift around corners without a button, however this way you can't get any Mini-Turbos.

Manual you have to hold down a button, but you can get mini-turbos (bikes can only get blue mini-turbos, BTW)

You use the B button on the Wheel or the R button on the GameCube controller to drift.

Yeah, that sucks. I've had my Wii fall off a few times due to younger relatives using the wired GCN controllers with it.
