Are you using it in mono ??? I see only one speaker cable out...and only one cable in. Cant you make an open air test with mixer.????..real cds ..no mp3!!! just source mixer...power amp...and two full range speakers...no subs !!!
I am also interested in the comparison to the VLP 1500. I see the specifications, but the question is which amp are you happy with to run the subs. I think the VLP1500 has loud fans and if the iNuke is cooler, quieter and sounds as good then I would go that way.
@kevinmcahill The amp which I am happy with running my subs now is the NU3000. The VLP1500 can't be bridged to run at 4 ohms, it can only be bridged and run at 8 ohms. I like running my subs in parallel which will give the amp a 4 ohm load. When I run my subs, I place them side by side so you can get the 3db of more sound from them. The VLP1500 is still a great amp and I still use it to run my PV215s.
I noticed you've had this amp for a while, and i imagine you've been putting it through its paces.. Hows it holding up?? Im curious to know because of all the bad reviews ive read.
@EntertainmentEnzo So far so good. I don't know why people are having problems with this amp. I used it this past Saturday and pushed it hard with my two 18" subs for about 6hrs without any problems at all. Just all clean sound & no clipping. Pulls so little electricity to run. I don't know if people just don't know how to hook up PA gear or how to adjust audio for proper sound output. I have no complaints with this amp.
@deejaybustab Whats the Factory warranty? Im somewhat new to Hooking up PA Gear but Im trying to find the right amp for my subs. Would you recommend running the NU6000 with two JBL MRX528s Subs?
@EntertainmentEnzo I think the factory warranty is like 1 year but I could be wrong. Were you talking about running 2 JBL MRX528 cabinets? The NU6000 may run them in 2ch mode which is 3,000w x 2 @ 4ohm but I can't be certain it can. You may want to call Behringer tech support 425-672-0816 and ask them. They are west coast and every time I called, the techs knew their stuff. Hope this helps.
@deejaybustab Hi! I just buy a nu6000 and the power specifications are a bit lower then that. Its 1100w ch at 8 ohms (RMS) & 2200w at 4 ohms (RMS)... nothing about paralelle or bridged is specified. but i gotta say that the fan suck all the dust inside so think about adding some kind ov filter on the back.
From the specs the VLP-1500 will put out more at 8 ohms in stereo and in bridge mode. But the VLP-1500 can't be bridged to 4 ohms and the EP2000 can be bridged down to 4 ohms.
I have searched for info re simply hooking up passive subs to this amp and using the built in cross over to filter out highs I have four 15 inch 8 ohm sub cabinets .... is there a way to do this and utilize the full power of the amp?
@saxmaniacify if you were to hook all 4 up..ch1 with 2 speakers and ch2 with 2 speakers then that will give both channels on the amp a 4 ohm load. The amp only puts out 880w x 2 in stereo 4 ohm which I think may be less power than what you may need to drive all 4 speakers at once with only 1 amp. Send firestormrecords a msg on youtube on this. He runs more than 2 speakers at once on this amp and may be able to help you out.
@DannyFreeplay I have never used the internal crossover on this amp. I keep the amp on Full Range and always use the crossover on my EQ for my subs so I can adjust mid bass and low end bass. Then the amp will just amplify what my EQ puts out. If you switch the amp's crossover switch to low pass then you will just get all low end on the output I didn't read the info on the amp to know what frequency it will crossover at.
Great video can you help me with one beginner question please? I have 2 speakers each 500 watt and I think it's 8 ohm, Can I connect both those with this amplifier? Isn't that blow my speakers because this amplifier it's 3000 watt? Can this amplifier hold 2 speakers 1000 watt each?
@SuperErin21 Yes you can connect both speakers to this amp in stereo (will give amp 8 ohm load) or parallel (will give amp 4 ohm load). You can blow your speakers if you don't manage your volume levels which goes for any amp. This amp should be able to drive 2 speakers @ 1000w each but I would hook them up in parallel if they are 4 ohms and bridge the amp to 4ohms with both speakers. That way the amp will put out more power to the set of speakers.
@deejaybustab Thank you so much for your reply I want to find out one last thing, More likely I will be in a situation with 4 speakers 500 watt each 8 ohms, How will I connect when then there are 2 outputs, Should I connect 2 others from speaker to speaker?? Is this connection in parallel and I got 4 ohms total resistance per channel, There are also 2 channel input should there come from my mixer left to one channel input and right to other channel input?
@SuperErin21 With 4 speakers at 500w each and each is 8 ohm, if you were to hook all 4 up..ch1 with 2 speakers in parallel and ch2 with 2 speakers in parallel then that will give both channels on the amp a 4 ohm load. The amp will only put out 880w x 2 in stereo 4 ohm which I think is still less power than what you may need to drive all 4 speakers at once with only 1 amp. It may work but if you drive it hard it may not sound good.
@SuperErin21 You may want to have 2 amps to run all 4 speakers. 2 speakers hooked up in parallel on 1 amp bridged to 4 ohms and the other amp do the same. As far for your mixer output...you can just run L and R outputs of the mixer to both inputs of the amp.
@deejaybustab well 2 speakers hooked up in parallel on 1 amp bridged to 4 ohms is wrong because when you run in 2 speaker that is 4onm parallel is not 4ohm no more its 2 ohm now so bridged is not good because that amp has the power to run in stereo at 4 ohm per side and yes he will need 2amp one for the top and one for the bass now the 2 base cab is 8 ohm each now he can run then in parallel now and get 4ohm now
@SuperErin21 You all shoud go on the Behringer's site & download the pdf spec ov the amp that shoud solve a lot ov questions & misunderstood. for the inuke3000 820w ch is for PEAK=20milli second or so at 4ohms. RMS power is 620w ch at 4 ohms (stereo).
I can recommend some good hearing aids which you are definitely going to need later in life if you regularly listen to sound at those levels. It never ceases to amaze me the abuse people subject their ears to in their youth without a thought of the consequences. It's not even a matter of IF... those levels WILL cause deafness and/or horrible ringing that never stops. It kicks in when you are about 45 to 50 years old and gets progressively worse.
Just an update. I ran the NU3000 tonight for about 8hrs at a party on one 18" subwoofer that is 8ohms. It performed great with this 1 speaker at 8ohms!! No clipping at all...just all clean sound. No heat build up at all. Not even warm to the touch. Of course I ran it without over driving anything LOL!
@deejaybustab I am very interested in this amp. I was wondering if I could run two Cerwin Vega intense Subwoofers (225W rms 8 ohm each) in parallel off one channel, and two Cerwin Vega intesne full range (350W rms 4 ohm each) in parallel off the second channel. Do you think this is possible or how can I hook up these 4 speakers off the inuke 3000. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
@ramgunz103 That may work but I have never tired that with this amp. The guy you need to talk to is FireStormRecords on youtube. He uses his NU3000 with 4 speakers all at once (I think) and has no issues. Hit him up with an email or question on his NU3000 video review. He's a cool guy who always answered my questions about this amp.
so does thr LED clip light up when the amp is being over powered or/and my speakers are being over powered? I'm just concerned because i have speakers that have a input capacity well below the output of these amps. So im concerned about 'blowing out my speakers' is there any form of protection to the speakers you could recomend or help clarify to me? I really appreciated your help on my last questions.
@7mrawesome So far I have not had the clip light come on because I haven't pushed my speakers to the point where they will clip. I do push the amp hard but I just know how hard I can push the speakers before you get distortion or to the point where you may clip or blow them. I don't know of any protection for your speakers I just know how much I can push them without causing problems.
@abc123gpl Yes I am pleased. I have to say that at first when I got this amp and I opened the box up and saw + felt how light it was I thought to myself there is no way this amp will sound that good. But after testing it and using it on a few gigs I am very impressed with Class D technology!
Class D is not digital :) It's another type of amp, Google to see..
However, Class D amplifiers kick ass! They are light weight and are more than 90% efficient. What that means is they are easy to carry around and do not generate much heat even when pushing the speakers hard because more than 90% of the energy ends up at the speakers as opposed to heat pumping out of the back of the amp. Too bad you can't bridge the amp and use the built in low pass for subs :(
@TheGenehusky Have you had bad luck with this amp? So far I have used this amp on 3 gigs and it has worked flawlessly even on my two 18" subs when I pushed it hard for 3 hours at 4 ohms with heavy bass.
@TheGenehusky why does he need it I am using the INUKE 3000 DSP powering two Behringer vp1800 18" subs, used at a rave and just sounded awesome used this weekend at a New Years Eve Party again just rocked it. I am selling my Peavey amp powering my mains to get another INUKE.
@7mrawesome Basically your amp has 2 amplifiers inside of it. You can combine both amplifiers in your amp to make 1 big amp to push a big speaker or speakers. Check out Briansredd's channel. He has a video named "Hey Brian - What's Bridge Mono?" that may help explain this. He also has more vids on how to hook up amps for bridge mode.
I spoke with Behringer tech support and they stated that this amp will work fine on 8 ohms. They just didn't print the 8 ohm specs in the documentation.
@mikosuave808 With 1 or 2 8ohm speakers you can just plug them in with the normal stereo diagram which is in the amps documentation. If you have 2 8ohm speakers and you want to bridge the amp to 4ohms, you will need to hook both speakers up in parallel and the amp will see a 4ohm load. Then just plug 1 speaker cable from the speakers to the amps bridged output plug.
@deejaybustab I connected the Lf & RT balanced output to the CH B & CH A input of the INUKE3000. from the amp, I connected the output CH A & B to the speaker ( Behringer 212XL) I connected that XLR to the bottom left of the speaker since there are 4 connections I can use but with the XLR connector, there are only 2 I can plug in. Does it matter where I plug it in? I was reading the manual and it said that if I wanted to connect another speaker I can use that right XLR as output.
@mikosuave808 I looked at a photo of the speakers you have and it should not matter what XLR plug you use on the speaker. The speaker has 2 1/4 jacks and 2 XLR jacks. You can use either 1/4 jacks or XLR jacks to plug up to. You only need 1 XLR plug on the speaker. The other plug can be used for parallel hookup to another speaker. With parallel hookup you will only need 1 speaker cable to the amp because both 8ohm speakers will drop down to one 4ohm load for the amp.
@mikosuave808 You should be fine...just plug Ch:A output from your amp to 1 XLR plug on 1 speaker and plug Ch:B output from your amp to 1 XLR plug on the other speaker. It doesn't matter which XLR plug on the speaker you use. Hope this helps.
@deejaybustab ahh thanks man, i kinda wondered that, ive been savin up and decided on getting the pv115 but im split between the nu3000 and the Crown Xls2000. Thanks for letting us know itll run 8 ohms!
@Kilmer1111 Yes at 2 ohms it puts out 1500w to both channels. At 4 ohms it puts out 880w to both channels and you can bridge it and get 3000w at 4 ohms all on 1 channel. Others are now saying this amp can also put out 440w at 8 ohms to both channels but I have not tried it at 8 ohms yet.
@bronxman84 It all depends on what size the event is. So far I have used my older Peavey SP2G speakers, My Peavey PV215 speakers and I have also used my two 18" subwoofers. You can use any kind of speakers you prefer as long as the speakers are connected correctly to the amp for stereo or bridge mode.
@navihouse In this video I just use the MP3 player's headphone output. The headphone cord has a RCA male tip on 1 end. The RCA male tip then plugs into a female RCA to 1/4 cable and that 1/4 plug just plugs into the back of the iNUKE amp.
Just a few little things. The amp HAS to draw as many watts from the mains as it does provide to the speakers - Basic physics. It is however more efficient. The EP2000 may be around 60-70% efficient where as these should be 90% ish.
Also behringer do rate this for 8ohm. Its 440w RMS x 2 (peak power means nothing) always use RMS. Ideally you want twice the rms amps of the rms on the speakers.
Not sure what the issue with fans is, but at any gig I do you wont hear fans!
@pungeyman Well if you have two 8 ohm speakers like two 8 ohm subwoofers you can hook both speakers up in parallel and bridge the amp for 4 ohms and you will be good. That's how I have both of my 8 ohm subwoofers on this amp. But if you only have one 8 ohm speaker than I will use the ep2000 or another amp that can run at 8 ohms.
@Kilmer1111 It depends on what you want to push with it. I would go with the nu3000 but the only thing I wish this amp had was the ability to run at 8 ohms. It only runs at 4 or 2 ohms according to the documentation. But it kicks hard and uses so little power to run. Most if not all new amps will be going to "class D" which are the new digital amps. The ep2000 is still a great amp but I like the lighter and less power requirements of the nu3000.
hey how does this compare to the behringer EP2000 would you choose this over the ep? like length of time it can stay on for, sound you get out of it, and amount of years it could last? which would you say is beter and why? Im looking to get an amp and passive speakers to expand my set up, i just have 2 powered 15 inchers @ 200 watts each, im gona use those as monitors once i get peaves pv215s and a power amp, its for a band im in.
Is the fan loud on the iNuke? I will be using mine for home theater subs. Everyone I have talked to has had to do fan mods to the ep series Behringers
@nezff No not at all. The fan is very quiet compared to my EP2000. Now a few times I did crank the NU3000 hard on my 18" subs and the fan did rev up louder but it only spun up faster only when the bass hit and continued to hit for like 10 seconds non stop. But once the bass was lower or in between heavy bass notes, it spun down. Now this only happened when I pushed it VERY HARD to the point when my photos came down from my walls.
@nezff gotcha. Im debating on getting the 6000 version to power dual subs in my Home theater. I just dont want to be watching a movie and the fans be too loud in the room. Also, the 6000 version has two fans.
@nezff I just did a small test to see how loud the fan is at normal use. From what I can tell, it is about a tad bit louder than my PS3 fan. Now the PS3 fan noise I am talking about is when you play a game or watch a movie on the PS3...not when your PS3 revs up loud but the normal PS3 fan speed. So from looking at your home theater setup on your page, you may not even notice the NU3000 fan noise under normal use.
@jwolfmanc32 No prob man...Yeah this amp kicks out and is still hard to believe it is only 7 pounds! Makes you think its a DVD player or something when you go to pick it up LOL 1 note...At 2 ohms it draws 350w of electricity and at 4 ohms it only draws 170w of electricity. In the vid I said 300w at 4 ohms but at 4 ohms it is way less power draw. You could plug 2 or 3 in 1 circuit and still be way under 1,500w of electricity.

@MrSonidofaraon I can't really tell you which one is better for 8 ohm performance but I can give you the specs:
VLP-1500 = 500w rms @ 8 ohm stereo and 1,500w rms @ 8 ohm bridge.
EP2000 = 350w rms @ 8 ohm stereo and 1,000w rms @ 8 ohm bridge.
From the specs the VLP-1500 will put out more at 8 ohms in stereo and in bridge mode. But the VLP-1500 can't be bridged to 4 ohms and the EP2000 can be bridged down to 4 ohms.

A response and explanation on the crossover function in the iNuke would be really helpful!

@deejaybustab Maybe I am not fair...I just had bad luck with several Behringer products.I don't have any experience with that amp..Sorry
TheGenehusky 1 month ago
@TheGenehusky That's cool...This is my 2nd Behringer amp and so far my older EP2000 Behringer and the NU3000 one work excellent.
deejaybustab 1 month ago
@TheGenehusky why does he need it I am using the INUKE 3000 DSP powering two Behringer vp1800 18" subs, used at a rave and just sounded awesome used this weekend at a New Years Eve Party again just rocked it. I am selling my Peavey amp powering my mains to get another INUKE.

whats bridged mode? when do you use it?
7mrawesome 1 month ago
@7mrawesome Basically your amp has 2 amplifiers inside of it. You can combine both amplifiers in your amp to make 1 big amp to push a big speaker or speakers. Check out Briansredd's channel. He has a video named "Hey Brian - What's Bridge Mono?" that may help explain this. He also has more vids on how to hook up amps for bridge mode.

I spoke with Behringer tech support and they stated that this amp will work fine on 8 ohms. They just didn't print the 8 ohm specs in the documentation.
deejaybustab 2 months ago
@deejaybustab ok, I just bought an inuke3000 power amp, how will I hook this up to an 8 ohms speaker? Parallel or series?
mikosuave808 2 months ago
@mikosuave808 With 1 or 2 8ohm speakers you can just plug them in with the normal stereo diagram which is in the amps documentation. If you have 2 8ohm speakers and you want to bridge the amp to 4ohms, you will need to hook both speakers up in parallel and the amp will see a 4ohm load. Then just plug 1 speaker cable from the speakers to the amps bridged output plug.
deejaybustab 2 months ago
@deejaybustab I connected the Lf & RT balanced output to the CH B & CH A input of the INUKE3000. from the amp, I connected the output CH A & B to the speaker ( Behringer 212XL) I connected that XLR to the bottom left of the speaker since there are 4 connections I can use but with the XLR connector, there are only 2 I can plug in. Does it matter where I plug it in? I was reading the manual and it said that if I wanted to connect another speaker I can use that right XLR as output.
mikosuave808 1 month ago
@mikosuave808 I looked at a photo of the speakers you have and it should not matter what XLR plug you use on the speaker. The speaker has 2 1/4 jacks and 2 XLR jacks. You can use either 1/4 jacks or XLR jacks to plug up to. You only need 1 XLR plug on the speaker. The other plug can be used for parallel hookup to another speaker. With parallel hookup you will only need 1 speaker cable to the amp because both 8ohm speakers will drop down to one 4ohm load for the amp.
deejaybustab 1 month ago
@mikosuave808 You should be fine...just plug Ch:A output from your amp to 1 XLR plug on 1 speaker and plug Ch:B output from your amp to 1 XLR plug on the other speaker. It doesn't matter which XLR plug on the speaker you use. Hope this helps.

@deejaybustab ahh thanks man, i kinda wondered that, ive been savin up and decided on getting the pv115 but im split between the nu3000 and the Crown Xls2000. Thanks for letting us know itll run 8 ohms!
Mattguitarman1234 2 months ago
I bought this and i fucking hate it! It buzz all the time and my speaker won't play. + the cooling fan is extremely loud! Waste of fucking money...
guitarmanRune 2 months ago
so it takes out 1500 per channel ?
Kilmer1111 2 months ago
@Kilmer1111 Yes at 2 ohms it puts out 1500w to both channels. At 4 ohms it puts out 880w to both channels and you can bridge it and get 3000w at 4 ohms all on 1 channel. Others are now saying this amp can also put out 440w at 8 ohms to both channels but I have not tried it at 8 ohms yet.

hey man wats goin on i have the exact amp that u got now wat speakers do u recommend to use??
bronxman84 2 months ago
@bronxman84 It all depends on what size the event is. So far I have used my older Peavey SP2G speakers, My Peavey PV215 speakers and I have also used my two 18" subwoofers. You can use any kind of speakers you prefer as long as the speakers are connected correctly to the amp for stereo or bridge mode.
deejaybustab 2 months ago
how did you hook up your mixer to the amp?
navihouse 2 months ago
@navihouse In this video I just use the MP3 player's headphone output. The headphone cord has a RCA male tip on 1 end. The RCA male tip then plugs into a female RCA to 1/4 cable and that 1/4 plug just plugs into the back of the iNUKE amp.
deejaybustab 2 months ago
Thank you for this video. Friend, I summarize the amp is really good?
ulbda 2 months ago
Just a few little things. The amp HAS to draw as many watts from the mains as it does provide to the speakers - Basic physics. It is however more efficient. The EP2000 may be around 60-70% efficient where as these should be 90% ish.
Also behringer do rate this for 8ohm. Its 440w RMS x 2 (peak power means nothing) always use RMS. Ideally you want twice the rms amps of the rms on the speakers.
Not sure what the issue with fans is, but at any gig I do you wont hear fans!

what if you have an 8 ohm speaker?
pungeyman 3 months ago
@pungeyman Well if you have two 8 ohm speakers like two 8 ohm subwoofers you can hook both speakers up in parallel and bridge the amp for 4 ohms and you will be good. That's how I have both of my 8 ohm subwoofers on this amp. But if you only have one 8 ohm speaker than I will use the ep2000 or another amp that can run at 8 ohms.
deejaybustab 3 months ago
hey bro..wat do u recomend..the ep2000 or the nu3000? ?
Kilmer1111 3 months ago
@Kilmer1111 It depends on what you want to push with it. I would go with the nu3000 but the only thing I wish this amp had was the ability to run at 8 ohms. It only runs at 4 or 2 ohms according to the documentation. But it kicks hard and uses so little power to run. Most if not all new amps will be going to "class D" which are the new digital amps. The ep2000 is still a great amp but I like the lighter and less power requirements of the nu3000.
deejaybustab 3 months ago
hey how does this compare to the behringer EP2000 would you choose this over the ep? like length of time it can stay on for, sound you get out of it, and amount of years it could last? which would you say is beter and why? Im looking to get an amp and passive speakers to expand my set up, i just have 2 powered 15 inchers @ 200 watts each, im gona use those as monitors once i get peaves pv215s and a power amp, its for a band im in.
Thanks
Matt.

Is the fan loud on the iNuke? I will be using mine for home theater subs. Everyone I have talked to has had to do fan mods to the ep series Behringers
nezff 3 months ago
@nezff No not at all. The fan is very quiet compared to my EP2000. Now a few times I did crank the NU3000 hard on my 18" subs and the fan did rev up louder but it only spun up faster only when the bass hit and continued to hit for like 10 seconds non stop. But once the bass was lower or in between heavy bass notes, it spun down. Now this only happened when I pushed it VERY HARD to the point when my photos came down from my walls.
deejaybustab 3 months ago
@deejaybustab thanks. Remember, Im looking into the iNuke 6000 though, and it has dual fans on the rear. You can change the fan out to hush it down
nezff 3 months ago
@nezff gotcha. Im debating on getting the 6000 version to power dual subs in my Home theater. I just dont want to be watching a movie and the fans be too loud in the room. Also, the 6000 version has two fans.
nezff 3 months ago
@nezff I thought the music would drown out the fans when the amp is up loud enough to need them
TimpBizkit 1 month ago
@nezff I just did a small test to see how loud the fan is at normal use. From what I can tell, it is about a tad bit louder than my PS3 fan. Now the PS3 fan noise I am talking about is when you play a game or watch a movie on the PS3...not when your PS3 revs up loud but the normal PS3 fan speed. So from looking at your home theater setup on your page, you may not even notice the NU3000 fan noise under normal use.

Thanks for the iNuke review! Glad you like it!
behringer 3 months ago
Hey man thanks for the great review.I think this is the info that I needed to make a choice in my next amp.
jwolfmanc32 3 months ago
@jwolfmanc32 No prob man...Yeah this amp kicks out and is still hard to believe it is only 7 pounds! Makes you think its a DVD player or something when you go to pick it up LOL 1 note...At 2 ohms it draws 350w of electricity and at 4 ohms it only draws 170w of electricity. In the vid I said 300w at 4 ohms but at 4 ohms it is way less power draw. You could plug 2 or 3 in 1 circuit and still be way under 1,500w of electricity.
