Where I live fireworks that explode or leave the ground are illegal under state law, legal under federal. Doesn't stop us from shooting them off. Arresting people for Class C fireworks is a fuckin joke when some people know how to use them safely. Fireworks can't tip over if they are stabilized with blocks and you probably can't go blind from rockets if you wear safety glasses.

People have had roman candle fights for years. My uncle told us that when he was a kid they did the samething and also got burned from one. It's the politicians that get fireworks banned and the amount of people that get hurt from fireworks throughout the country, even if in the thousands is still a small number for one year compared to people getting hurt from other things like skateboards or drunk drivers.
