  • this is amazing

  • is this a real episode or something or just made by a loyal fan?

  • i love the way the president of the timelords wears a pink coat ad scarf, but great job, i enjoyed this entire thing =)

  • How do you get the opening credits with no titles?

  • THIS.....IS.....WIN!

  • This is better than anything else so far. Good Work

  • lmao nice job it passes my fan vote!

  • Thankyou for this! I love it! It's great to see new adventures with McGann!

  • probably the best video in the universe!

  • weldone

  • Wow that is really creepy.

  • I think that the ninth regeneration was triggered due to the Doctor's guilt over destroying th timelords. The eighth doctor's decision to commit suicide would explain alot about number 9's attitude and personality and would definitely be compelling television.

  • @Traininghopper : nah because as we've learned from the master, timelords can decide not to regenerate. So if the Doctor wanted to commit suicide then he wouldn't regenerate.

  • @darkpassenger09

yeah but the tenth doctor said when he regenarates it feels like dying so mabey he want to kill himself as in that regenaration

  • It is real.

  • OMG THIS ISNT REAL OMG OMG OMG OMG.

    Just kidding :)

Nicely put together. Interesting to watch.

  • naaa the should do the 8 9 11 to go bak to the time war a show how he died and how the time war ended

  • its a shame that we haven't seen more of Paul mcgann's doctor he was brilliant in the tv movie and i hope he makes some kind of appearance in the new series

  • VERY GOOD AWESOME MAN

  • They actually put this dr who on an American broadcast channel in the day.

Surprising because most Dr whos were on PBS.

It involved the master breaking out of some jar and the other Dr who in this video.

  • Whoevers brilliant idea it was to kill off the timelords should also be killed.

The timelords are the most interesting aspect of dr who.

DUMB and ruined the entire show.

  • @Ibringthetruth1 its kind of the point that they all died he is the last of them duh (accept the master and maybe more...)

  • All continuity aside, this is still a fantastic piece of work!

  • that was not rassilon, it was the pressident, when the doctor said back into the time war rassilion, he means bye bye time lords, rassilon was never brought back the doctor said that because they are followers of rassilon, IF he was rassilon then the councile wold of called him rassilon they called him president because thats who he is...

  • If you mean in The End of Time, then his title was Lord President of the Time Lords. If you look at the credits and behind the scene features, you'll know Timothy Dalton is credited as Rassilon.

  • The Depresing thing is that you now have to make the Timelords megalomaniacs and bring Rassalon back. If you saw THE END OF TIME.

  • when u watch confidential u realise its not that hard, as RTD pointed out theres loads of renegades, the doctor was on the run from them, the timelords existed in the dark times (death zone etc) So really its quiet easily adaptable

  • 1:00

Music is great. Can u tell me what song?

  • where did you get the audio from? Is some of it from Big Finish?

  • thanks soo much been lookin for this video for a while

  • They really need to bring back Paul McGann for a guest appearence (like a Two Doctors episode). If you listen to his work on Big Finish DW audio plays, he is fantastic. He really plays an awesome doctor.

  • i finally get to fucking see it after 13 years.

    about damn time.

i have never seen the movie.

  • uh...I hate to tell this to you buddy. But this is only a good fan fic of the events of the time war and it is a little bit behind with the current information about how it might have really happend. But it is good non the less.

  • that would be the worst mistake they could make . . . McGann was an awful Dr in the movie and the radio plays

  • Arcadia may have beena key planet depending on timelines and rifts

  • 1:43 - 1:52 Oh, look! Rocks!

  • Just wondering, what is the planet Arcadia as Im pretty sure it isnt the time lords home planet.

Also, before the BBC recommesioned it with Eccelstone, how did they explain the time war starting and ending?

I reckon when David Tennant regenerates they should do an episode of the time war within his memories.

    This was good though.

  • I'm not sure what Arcadia is, but Gallifrey is the name of the Time Lords planet.

  • Arcadia was the time lord/human base wannit? that's what i think... or just a time lord base... like the white house for the time lords

  • Just a base, nothing more, but it seemed very important strategy-wise.

  • they didnt just said his race was distroyed it was a way of starting over

  • Excellent stuff this, could use a bit of fine tuning like your more recent video's however It's definately a strong story.

And it did feel like it was needed for the sake of canon.

  • how did you do the dalek voice pleas tell

    thanks

  • The master isn't dead though. He'll be back for tennant's last episode along with piper and others, although ros'es banishment seemed pretty final. The BBC will probably give her an offer she can't resist.

  • i thought the reason why they sent rose and tennant (well his half human counterpart) into another galaxy was so that in 10 -20 years they could bring him back for an episode or 2 and as he ages it would explain the possible white hair. they should do a time war movie but it would have to be done properly as in like 3-4 years planning a good film gets 5-6 script changes

  • he was resurected and its not gonna be his last episopde there doing a 4 episode miniseriese type thing to mark the departure of David Tennant

  • doesn't have to be technically "back"... any number of reason for them to be in it... hallucination... flash backs (of shit we didn't see)... etc

  • The master isn't dead though. He'll be back for tennant's last episode along with piper and others, although ros'es banishment seemed pretty final. The BBC will probably give her an offer she can't resist.

  • You mention "usable McGann footage" in the description. Good luck, considering he only made one episode. ;)

  • mark my words the doctor and the master were not the last time lords. in the next season of the doctor you watch, they will write in new time lords, i think romana and will also write in daleks.

  • dude hoe did u do the darlek vocie

  • is the doctor from the present time, past or futre?

  • All of them.

  • there's defintely more work involved in the TARDIS than there is in the new series'

  • Lol i love everypart of this story, my mum wants me to stop watching it all the time i watch it that much, looks real, Love it!

  • shame the timewar was off screne ..:( they should make a 2-3 hour movie on the whole time war.:P

  • 7:21, WTF? My gun won't fire. It just lights up.

LOL. No wounder they lost, they had toy guns to fight with.

  • 7:21, WTF? My gun doesn't fire, it just lights up.

LOL. No wounder they lost. They had toy guns to fight with.

  • I wish now the BBC would write a movie of the Time War starring Paul McGann and then maybe at the end of it Christopher Eccelston. They could age Paul a bit maybe making it take place a few years after the Dr Who movie thus making the audios count as canon.

  • 7:21, WTF? My gun won't fire. It just lights up.

LOL. No wounder they lost, they had toy guns to fight with.

  • why would he need to be aged

its bin over a decade since he last appeared on screen

he will have aged more than enough, still allowing for the hundred of years of adventueres he holds

  • No need to age him, McGann is 13 years older than he was in the TV movie anyway. Big Finish have a deal with the BBC so that the audios and TV show don't contradict each other. Therefore, both can be considered canon.

  • the dalek voices are a bit weak, but its still bloody good. well done

  • this was quite good. I really enjoyed it.

  • How did you do the Dalek voices, ring modualtor?

  • Well, as you wrote, it is not very good lip sync but gets the point across. Perhaps it would have been better with an action scene and the voice as the background noice, not needing to sync. I thought it was at one point.

You answered me a question I had: they never made the Time War. I wonder why though, it should be the best part.

I would also like to see it, and your video is good in showing bits.

    Thanks!

  • they did make one

  • really, when was this?

  • Maybe you could provide a link to the page that states which episodes depict the actual time war?

  • I Love This! It's Brilliant!!

  • cool very well done this

  • oooh look!

    A quarry!

  • OMG!! I acutually thought this was a real episode untill i read the description. Great editing

  • cool editing!

  • the 80's fashion kills me, but this was my fav show when i was a little kid

  • прикольно...

  • cool!

  • This is truly brilliant!

  • the emperor and darvos are two fractions there are two types of daleks the imperials and renagade

  • i think tom baker landed in the exact same place on Skarn

  • That was the landing on Skaro...Lalla Ward's first episode as Romana.

  • This is a great vid, :)

  • the 8th doctor is in one of the specials in 2009 and i feel it has something to do the time war

  • Sadly he isn't anymore, I asked paul mcgann recently at a convention. :(

  • oo you met the 8th doctor cool, where was the convention? i'd love to go to go to a doctor who convention someday.

  • I doubt this, where's your source?

  • plz watch my vids on my youtube acount and plz rate and comment! + good vid

  • Austin9851. to answer to your question there is no video. it is just told by christopher ecclseston and david tennent.

  • Or maybe they will keep it secret, only hinting every now and then at things that did occur back then. That's one good thing about the writers, they have been able to keep some suspense about Gallifrey and the Doctor. That's why we like it so much; it's sorta mysterious. Telling what happened or the Doctor's name would spoil everything, wouldn't it?

  • is this the origional episode? where the time lords die?

cuz i want to watch the origional cuz i am new to dr. who

  • No this is fanmade.

He made this because the BBC Never showed us the time war.

  • Y'know as good as this is, and it really is very good, its a shame that the Timewar which is one of the best idea's of the new series doesn;t look like it will ever be done onscreen at any rate with Moffat claiming he won't do it, and RTD having only a handful of episodes left before leaving.

Shame really, oh well looks like this is the best were ever going too get.

  • well done this is a work of art

  • fuck of daleks

  • yes i believe this is proper terminology for groups of them - "Look, Doctor. It is a fuck of daleks."

  • I forgot how cool and classy the 8th Doctors tardis control room was.

  • Excellent work

  • Lol i loved it and the daleks exterminate look like drawings lol i know thats wat it used to look ike :P

  • 8/10

  • The voices need a bit of work on a little camp but on the whole very well put together..

  • where did the davros speeches come from?

  • A Ring modulator and Big finish audios i'd say.

  • should have kept the original "Ex-ter-min-ate!", it had more "bite" to it, but it still worked!

very good... you have won [over] 9000 ex-term-ina-tors!

  • hey, I don't recall Davros screaming(your last scene)

  • I got the audio from one of the big finish audio tales, I think it worked well though.

  • sorry, thats meant to read GENOCIDE, not CID. lol.

  • How dare the Daleks Kill Romanadvoratrelundar#2

  • I don't know much about the old series, but was Romarna president? I've only seen a couple of her episodes (this Dalek one and the Eiffel Tower one) and there was nothing about her being president in them.

Also you should've edited the scene with her by the rock fall. It just looked like the actress accidentally left her mobile on. ("Lalla, it's Richard. Can you bring home some more Bibles with you, for me to burn on my ceremonial bonfire!")

  • The Extended universe[or should that be Who-niverse] has her depicted as President of Gallifrey, and RTD wrote a post about it in one of the albums called "Meet the Doctor", its one of those bits that's not proven to be cannon yet not discounted neither, in any event it works well for the narrative I think.

  • nah, wasn't it the fourth doctor whjo was president??? he was, you know.... at least until his 7th incarnation... dunno about the eighth....

  • As I recall the Doctor was made president elect, in "Invasion of Time" then continued his reign "aloofly" till "Trial of a Timelord", where it was revoked/nullified yet he mentions being the president elect in Rememerance of the Daleks[though this is thought to be a continutiy mistake or bravado at best]

either way he wasn't president during the TV Movie nor was he president in his 8th incarnation, and various sources declare that Romana was President elect during the Timewar, so I ran with it.

  • oh, k. but a few things i need answered (perhaps only RTD can do this) isn't Romana still in espace??? it is said all timelords were called back to gallifrey, so maybe susan and romana included?? i dunno. t'would be cool if the doc's presidency was reinstated afer "trial", seeing as how the sixth docto saved their asses YET AGAIN, not to mention stopping the master from having ultimate contorl of the matrix. why was the sixth doc put on trial any how??? (before the charge of genocid, i mean.)

  • In the novels, Romana came back from e-space in Blood Harvest and became President in Happy Endings. In the audios, her first appearance as President was in The Apocalypse Element, in which the Time Lords battled the Daleks! (RTD's "Meet the Doctor" counts this as an early strike in the Time War.) I suppose you could ignore the books and assume that Romana was called back because of the Time War.

Trial of a Time Lord is about on DVD soon. Still might not make much sense, though...!

  • Easily without a doubt, the best timewar video on youtube, I saw one the other night and it had the Doctor wave the Sonic Screwdriver at a Dalek and blow it up like he's Rambo or something Lol!

It really looks like you studied every little twist and turn about the show before making it.

  • this is good an everything but like the 8th doc wasnt in the time war because remember in school reunion the doc said to sarah that they all died and that humans werent aloud there back then so it was like the 4th or 5th doc wasnt it? no? gd vid tho

  • the Timewar did feature the 8th Doctor and not the 9th Doctor and can be proved in the following episodes

If you watch the scene at the end of 'Bad Wolf' where the Daleks have captured Rose, the Dalek says "I will speak to the Doctor" ...they don't appear to know which of the people sat at the screen on Satellite 5 is the Doctor until the Doctor speaks up and says "Oh, will you now? That's nice! Hello!"

  • i still think urs is gd

  • The same also happens in 'Dalek', where in the 'cage' room, the Dalek says "Doctor? The Doctor?!..." clearly having never seen the Doctor in his 9th incarnation, thus proving that it was the 8th Doctor who fourth in the Time War and Regenerated because of it.

Hello!"

  • i know its not the 9th doc but... when sarah jane met the doc again he said he had to leave her when they wer 2geve [wich was wen he was the 4th or 5th] because of the war

  • His peoples called him because of other troubles on the planet. But It wasn't yet the Time War

  • errata2007 thanks because thats what was confusing me, i thought it was because of the time war

  • you did a really good job on this. I want to make videos but haven't figured out how to save video to my Mac.

  • why is there that beeping when the daleks talk?

  • Its a backgound noise you always get it in Dalek ships and bases, its been around since the 60s.

  • This rocks! I love how you kept the background noises of the Daleks :D And especially the awesome old clips!

  • is there a place where you get that sound effect?or did it start when u made a dalek voice?

  • Dunno i had it on an old soundtrack/effects album from years back.

  • damn my computer,loads slow!

  • How did you get all these clips to synch up so well? I'm speechless.

  • This is a great vid, I've been really curious about the Time War and this has been a great help :)

  • i sure she died

  • Keep watching...

  • This is easily the best time war video tht i have seen

    gd job : )

  • this is great

  • Bloody Awesome indeed ! , im going to watch the whole story ! .

    Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ] .

  • Bloody awsome

  • hehe that was rather good! Well done 5 stars xx

  • this is really well done, better than most of the other Timewar videos on youtube, it actually feels like a proper episode. 5*'s.

  • As always... EXCELLENT WORK!

  • this is the best time war video I have seen
