  • The neighbour played her part very well–typical, rubbing her nose in other people's business

  • Indeed the best in Southern Africa music!

  • I'm from Eritrea but I really going crzy about brenda RIP

  • THIS SONG GOT ME HAPPY AS FUCK...... (CLASSIC)..HA!!

  • ------ im from (liberia)..but southAFrican can really sing....GOD BLESS AFRICA...ha!!

  • She was a good little actress too. I love her acting in her videos - besides the obvious singing talent and charisma.

  • To Mashile Mkono remember 31 dec 1999 when we danced in the Millenium to this song a that party in Mankweng , Limpopo from Ken

  • Asante mama na Mungu akuweke mahali pema peponi.

  • Mabrrrrrr! is no Madonna and she sure is no Whitney Houston. I find such comments very condescending and plain dumb. She is Brenda Fassie! She was no clone of anyone and western music is not the standard by which we measure the talents of our musicians in South Afrika. RIP Mabrrrrrr! Keep your Madonna and Whitney; praise them all you want but please don't reduce an Afrikan icon into an appendage of people we don't give a damn about.

  • @mzimkhulunyeka You tell'em!!! Damn why do they even mention these women? It's about our African Icon so GTFO with your Western names. Love you Mama Brenda! RIP!

  • will always miss her.... for her tanlent and gift

  • we can only only describe her as one music legend in Africa, u will always be my best!!!!

  • We miss u maBrrr

  • i love brenda's music , sing along but dnt knw the meaning.

  • Greg... Shut up!

  • yes, she fought the struggle of freedom for african people.

but more than that she fought another big struggle which until now sadly is a bis issue in africa: the freedom of lesbian and bisexual women to live their live as they want to. without being jailed or raped or killed.

if you give respect and love to our sister brenda fassie you should also give the same respect and love to every other sister regardless to her sexual orientation.

  • thank u very much.

  • can anyone traslate this song please. From uk

  • @combaable On the chorus she's saying:

    "Nomakanjani"-Come what may

    "We Dali wami"-My darling

    "ngeke ngkushiye"-Will never leave you

"Sofa slahlane"-Till death do us part

  • Sister Brenda Fassie is a great singer from Azania(Southern Mother Africa), she's so gifted in her own right.

Sister Brenda sings so many songs mostly on the struggles towards freedom amongst African people in Azania.

She will be so sadly missed, but her memories are still there.

    RIP, Sister Brenda Fassie.

  • THE VOICES OF AFRICA, Brenda, this sound keeps me moving. Rest in peace.

  • Months after first listening to this here, her voice still sends shivers down my spine. What a talent! What a loss!

  • ...yo right hun...mi too...

  • Why do the greates always leave early.

Michael Jackson, Lucky Dube, bob Marley, Aaliyah, and ofcourse Brenda Fassie!!

  • I just love this woman RIP Brenda you blessed us with your voice

  • even in Tonga...a little Island in the pacific they banging this track hard!! and other songs of her...hell of a voice huh but our people in Tonga luv african artist, the late Lucky Dube, Oyaba, slaves, sister phumi Dr Victa and Brenda of course...but Lucky Dube, O'yaba have both had concerts in Tonga and filled the whole national stadium...one luv 'ofa atu from Tonga

  • She has a beautiful voice and she's putting it to good use .

  • ma brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Even though i am from the neighbouring Zimbabwe, i feel like Sis Brenda represented everybody. She sang for the whole world, not just South Africans, they call it Globalisation, one global village. Take care all peoples of the world.

  • a nice song 1 of my mates doesnt like africans but luv jamaicans im tryin to tell her der jamaicans cum from africa but she say jamaicans are better lookin and better accent dont know wot to say to her no more

  • Tell your mate to grow up. We are past the age of disliking particular races, you know!

  • @arakammanaokorobia i do agree mate.

  • she's just being ignorant, dey think we africans are ugly but der are a lot of beautiful guys nd girls over der and i am proud of where i come from. AFRICANS ARE BEAUTIFUL, ONE LOVE MY PEEPS!!!!

  • Very true, they always thinkk like that and call us niggas in school like that :( BULLYING!

    Anyway where are you from??

  • DR Congo

  • @louisaxx21

I'm not suprised with the thickal lack of mentality that your friends have.

If they'd learn about their glorious past then they wouldn't be clueless.

  • I am aTrini woman and I just love this song.

  • im confused, this is a South African artist singing a ZULU song but everyone is leaving comments in different languages from outside of south africa ??????

  • Don't be confused mate. I think it is called globalisation. The point is: is it a very good song? Yes!!!

  • I do agree with you mate. When Brenda was singing, not only was she targeting the south african audience but, global too. We are all entitled to comment on any songs.R.I.P. Brenda.

  • i understand that but why comment in a foreign language because we wont be able to evaluate their comments if they do so

  • @tibiyani Brenda appealed to everyone. I remember when she came to Zim, to say me and my friends went crazy is an understatement. Leaving comments in different languages is people's way of showing how wide and diverse her fan base is, which in itself is a true testament to how great she was (is) because lets face it, most artists do struggle to sell their music beyond their borders. I think she would be pleased to know how much she was loved.

  • sorry but i think i gave you the wrong impession, i didnt mean it as in if youre not from south africa you should comment on it, i meant its a suprise that its a south african video but i dnt see many south african languages in there if you get what im saying .

  • @nqobz1 i`m from Zim too was so sad when she died

  • solo meravigliosa

  • Is she saying Kenya yangu na huyu chalie wake amedo?aaaaaaaaaaaaaa i miss you gal!

  • English please!

  • The song is soo nice such that if the words of the song was literally translated in Swahili it sounds like she is saying ''you my guy Kenya is mine''

  • *no matter what = nomakanjani

  • i love this song

  • still a big wedding song

  • j'adore ce morceaux !!!!

  • good song from sis' brenda but eish ukunuka umlomo is not a good look or ukungagezi hayi hayi lol she must have really loved ol` dude.

  • LOL! Its Ikeduru, not Ikedure!

  • I am from Imo - Ikedure LGA. I dey Netherlands.

  • LOL! Nwokem, you don overstay outside Naija! Ha ha! Umuofia no na Anambra State.

  • Wht do u mean godstimeisthebest?

  • lmaooo....ele ebe bu umuofia!!..hmm nwanne, e be like say u be a true character from "things fall apart", ikemefuna ko okonkwo, kedu nke ibu?

  • Haybo ,lala wena!

  • No am an igbo from umuofia

  • Kedu ebe bu Umuofia? Sua Igbo ka anyi kweta n'ibu onye Igbo n'ezie!

  • I thought that nigerians listen only to the late fela kuti, though he was very popular even in kenya.

  • What an inane comment to make! I even listen to Pussycat Dolls, talk much more of a legend like Brenda Facie!

  • If you listen carefully to the song, you will hear a timbre-soft, holographic tune with a pedagogic hue that tilts and rhymes into the rhythm.

  • this my party drinking song hehe

  • its good man, africa unite!!

  • Yes, Africa's got talent.

  • im nigerian but i think south african music is the best.....they just have so much soul man!

  • im nigerian and i think we have the best music!

but i will rock to some south african music anyday! we always play thier music at our parties. lol. Naija, S. Africa, Ivory Coast have the best African music...in my opinion.

  • @ Chinaija...true that

  • Congolese music rocks too

  • I'm sorry I gave it a -1 by mistake. I'm Nigerian but I definetly agree that Congolese music rocks too....x

  • good realay good

  • I can't play it enough! What superbly talented voices! Absolutely amazing!

  • you couldnt have said it better, i played it the third time in a row, when i looked down and saw this comment..great stuff...long live the legacy of BRENDA you will always be in every true africans heart...

  • Yep, its refreshing to hear music that does not rely on shameless sex appeal to sell itself. Most of the trash emanating from contemporary musicians is shocking: no voice, no rythym, no pitch, no message, just flaunting barely covered bodies. Terrible!

  • respect man, iam with you, what has happened to the MUSIC, the love of it, the fact that artist did it for the love of it and wanted to share it with the world...music is a marker for the decline of society, a music video isnt a music video today with out the the three main ingredients, semi naked woman, cars and money...thats why brenda and artist like her will never die, will enjoy this till the day i die, but the one hit wonders are there and gone...
