Please help me find a truck for crawling. Like a ford or dodge etc. something real looking. Like 200-300$ that would be preferred. I would really like to get a real looking truck
good stuff bro!! i live in Hillsboro Or. and i was wondering if there was any other good places for trail riding? i have an axail scx10 honcho and lookin for some fellow crawlers..to hit the trails with!! le me know whats good.....
i came in here thinking it was real. i was pissed and about disliked it, then i saw the nissan flexing! its just like a real truck! thats awsome! like!
@Alysonjipeiro As stated above, you can buy ready to run scale crawlers now. Axial SCX10 is about the best on the market. You can get them almost anywhere nowadays. Just google it and see what's close to you.
@th3crawler29 Really? Actually I have quite a few friends. We all have 1:1 4x4's also. It's just more fun to play with these. Plus they are a bunch cheaper to build and repair. But you go right ahead and act like you got a clue bro.
this reminds me of the time i took mi r/c car on some ice and it broke, we couldnt find it till the next day and it still worked and it was not water proofed
I once had some kind of RC truck years ago, and I water proofed it, but it floated for some reason. I took out to the pond an it was almost halfway out and then it sank. I discovered it had broke and the water got in, and killed it. I have no idea what it was, and I've never found another one
Correct, as the credits say. The thing at the bottom of the screen is from the record company. It's the only way they'll let me have the song on the video.
but oncw you go through water like that you should check your bearings with a good penetrating lube and go through your motor too, water eats brushes and rusts bearings
True, we actually run all bushings in the axles and trans and just fill them up with grease. But as far as the motors they don't tend to last all that long if you run them underwater very often.
usually u would use something with huge suspension arms and giant shocks for rock crawling but the fact that u did it w/o that stuff makes this vid even better
oh thanks...well one night my hubby was watching the video and i heard the song and i love that song just couldn't think of it...i knew it was chevelle he thought it was tool but i know my shit thansk again
To answer the neverending question of waterproofing, you place the receiver and speed control inside ballons with grease or silicone in the mouth where the wires go out, then close with zip ties. We like to put them in at least 2 ballons. Make sure the servos have grease in them and the oring seal is in good condition, and plan on replacing your motors more often. Water and mud are hard on the brushes and comm's. Batteries we've never worried about or done anything to.
I wanna use that 2:1 scale unimog. The 1:10 scale Titan was awesome too. Are they homemade? I'm looking around for the right size chassis for a body I've made at school for my engineering diploma.
electric motors believe it or not are the ONLY area that doesnt need to be modified for being waterproof... the hard areas are the reciever, speed control (which they DO make waterproof ones), and Servos (again, waterproof ones are made)... there are many ways to waterproof things (I use baloons), other people use dielectric grease, and it looks cool in video but is 100times more fun in real life submerging your truck... check out my latest video for some 10min fast WORKING waterproofing
