This is a great and unusual cover!! Shows John's sense of humour and usual great playing. There can't be any more interesting covers of this Stones classic...he squeezes every opportunity out of the melody and what a great backing band!!
@dodobeurk I agrea, but why are they playing investment and tuning in to bank accounts? I think Stones and the banks are full of money they are hiding, and maybe it aint the right tune either. I think Hokey tonk W rescue the economy much more, and thats what the americans need at the time.
It looks like this, along with his version of "House of the Rising Sun" that is on YouTube as well, shows that John is following in the great American Jazz tradition of making pop songs into "standards" like Herbie Hancock and Pat Metheny have done as well. This is really cool, it looks like a standards record is coming out soon - I will make sure to go see him the next time he comes to L.A.

Why not just play by the existing rules and rescue the economy, rather than the banks and their foolish shareholders and counterparties?

@ZZDROSS hey, it's Sco playing the shit out of the Stones, not some f*ing Anonymous Allan Greenspan Recoverry Association !
