"breaking" is a termanology in B-Boying for going off, as explaned in the Freshest Kids. so too be true to the culture & if you are serious about the dance you will stick to calling it B-Boying & B-girling. the media tunred it on its head too call it Break Dancing and so did alot of B-Boys back then as they would have be told, for you people too make money you call it break dancing cus the main stream people know it as that. t

its started out as bboying, so yes, it is the original name. and you should call it that. but when bboying became popular they started calling it breakdancing. and even bboys would call it that...

but either way theyre both the same thing.

Nah man, you fofos have no idea what Breaking is. Find some random kid ask him if he knows what Breaking or Bboying is. He'll have no idea but when you say breakdancing. Then he understands. Making videos that you want more viewers in, you use breakdancing because chances are the people who want to learn have no idea about Bboy culture and thus refer to it as breakdancing. But hell Bboy culture is starting to become recognized. SYTYCD used Bboying as Legacy's dance style instead of breakdancing.

As a grown man, I refuse to tell anyone I do anything with the word BOY in it. I know that over the past decade there has been some revisionism to make it seem like BBOY was always the main term, but that is some bullshit. Anyway, it is a street style, learn what ya want and be creative.
