This was my first car, really brings back memories. It's probably one of the best cars i've ever driven, it has real presence on the road. I've recently upgraded to a 2004 W220 S600 and its even better. I would imagine that a car like this in Malaysia would be quite expensive to own considering the high taxes on imported cars. Does your dad still have this car? If so, he should keep it for a long time as it will soon become very rare especially with such low kilometers.
my dad has the same car but it's a '97 model. A very good and luxurious car I would say. Smooth engine and gear change, very very nice car. however lately it's been causing lots of problem from the radiator to the electronics. well it's quite reasonable since the car has covered over 400k kms so he's about to let it go. how's yours going?
Sounds like your fuel pressure check valve is going out, try cycling the key 3 or 4 times before starting. If its starts insistently then ttheres something wrong with the fuel check valve
56000 is VERY low for a 1995. A 1995 S320 in the US would have at least 250,000 KM, or about 155,000 miles AT LEAST. Though Americans on average drive greater distances than Malaysians, as the US is a bigger country in geographic size.
Oh nice. The minors parts aren't expensive (bulbs/buttons/etc.), but the major ones are! Luckily for the car, nothing major is wrong with it, no engine failure and whatnot so maintaining the car is cheap.
Ahh too bad. Anyway, I saw that R-class video. Thanks for uploading. Looks wise, I think even though it's a Mercedes, I would much rather have the less expensive, better looking, and as you said, better equipped Honda Odyssey, preferably JDM, but USDM is also nice. I'm just not an MPV or SUV fan. I prefer estates.
A couple years when I was in high school auto shop class, there was a teacher who lived an hour east in the mountains (a long way to drive, and i live in San Diego, california, half a mile the coast, but mountains are just an hour drive east into the land from the coast), and the salt roads and cold dry weather caused the terminals to turn completely green ( a lot of corrosion), and the car barely started. But with a scrub brash, baking soda, and water, the problems were all gone.

alexlovesmac 2 years ago
Haha. That's nice. You drive?

Nice! The W220 or the W221 version?
alexlovesmac 2 years ago
Sounds like parasitic loss caused by corrosion on battery terminal connectors, or maybe an old starter.
1bentley4ever 2 years ago
Uh huh. Both the Mercs have that same problem. But it will start fine, so we didn't bother repairing it until it really couldn't start.
