Though it shows he looks beaten up badly, it's not because they assumed from this Trailer but because it was said by the maker.

However, for some reason, there are Screenshots of Dan training the player through the Tutorial of the game, but only appears as Pictures on the Bubble of Text.

@itsmyisliand As much as I can remember Ryu went to Dan's martial arts school to train along with Sakura in order to master the new technic Dan developed called Kamikazi. If Dan is in the game I would like him to keep his ultimatum hyper from Marvel Vs Capcom 2 "Hibiki Kamikazi". A move that killed instantly the opponent and Dan or otherwise it would leave Dan with ONLY 1 HP.
