Yes idiot's of the left, how does it feel to live in a country now that need's real change, and for damn sure we need hope now!!! Thank's Crackrockid!!!
In spite of the stimulus bill, in spite of TARP, in spite of the GM/AIG/Wall Street bailouts, the first Obama budget (2010) has closed the deficit by 13% 9/14/2010 end of the combat mission in Iraq 8/20/2010
President Obama signs the historic health care bill 3/23/2010
I'm feeling pretty good. So is that Michelle Malkin book the first one you ever read, is that why you keep steeling from it?
what did you think we expected? that obama was gonna be inaugurated and then the next morning everything would be fixed? NO! and it pisses me off how conservatives had driven the country into a ditch and they are now complaining about the price of the tow truck. just... stfu
I think Republicans and Democrats don't care if what the candidates run on -- and which they direly and desperately supported -- ever gets done, it doesn't bother them in the least mostly; they could be axe-murderers, Bush, Clinton -- Oh, lets not even go there -- the only thing that matters is they are their party, Republican, Democrat, and rally the base with speeches. Morality, practice, legislation, policy -- It can apparently be thrown out the window. Doesn't matter.
You're mostly right, except regarding your long-term view of things; there will be no "grandchildren's grandchildren". Humanity's story is winding up.
It amazes me that people tout the Republicans as being racist. Guess who the first Republican president was. Oh, yeah, it was that good ole racist, Abraham Lincoln. You know, the one who fought slavery. All the Dem's want is bigger government with more control. To keep the poor people poor so that they have to depend on bigger. It amazes me that people can be so ignorant of this. Good work, Crackroc. Keep it up.
I don't know Crackhead when one of the things you said comes true one day, perhaps I'll be able to answer. But since all you are doing is creating fear and hatred because you are a bigoted, ignorant fool who knows nothing about the economy or the wars we are in or what Obama actually promised, or that Obama told us long before he ran for president that he isn't against all wars...oh but wait you'd never say that because it would make you look wrong and like a fear mongerer.
This guy is a complete total moron. He needs to be educated in the worst way.Nothing Obama has done or said goes against anything he has promised. He is getting us out of the war.He did say things were going to get worse before they were going to get better. He did tell everyone that there is going to be a great debt. He is jumping into this entire thing that the repuppetkins caused to happen in the first place.
Crackrockid, why don't you learn something before you open your mouth and lie.
It's going to get a little worse, JUST LIKE OBAMA SAID A THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE AND AFTER HE WAS ELECTED. So I don't see the problem. The economy is starting to get a bit better already. I'd not worry about the debt. Sorry, but us "LIBERALS" don't feel used. Being used is what happens to republicans by their own people who they lied to. Dems don't have that problem right now. We were told everything, and what to expect, BEFORE he was elected. And that's what's going on right now. Sorry.
We have been in debt since WWII. And i believe during Clinton we balanced the budget. We were still in 10 trillion dollars debt to ourselves. Right now we are printing money, that causes debt to ourselves. How about you educated yourself before you call someone an idiot.
Not the national debt. But this is way over your head.
Technically you are right. You high school history teacher gave you half assed info. But technically you are right. But the national debt is more like a long term business deal rather than owing a friend money. And we owe a small %age to ourselves most is international, and when you print money you devalue the $, it isn't causing more debt to ourselves. Jeezus.
I'm not saying I think the Republicans haven't helped put us in this situation, but yes, both parties for the last 75 years have drained the treasury so now if we want to spend money without devaluing we have to borrow.
this video is great. Obama has been president, for what, a month? I love how in a month he's supposed to fix this financial mess, and end a war. Because you can just push the easy button, and it all just goes away. Another angry douche with a purple pastel shirt, and a computer. No plans or ideas to fix the problem, but the first one to bitch about it.

Thats the pot calling the kettle black. Shut the fuck up SUPERAPE22
Right, Obama has done more in his presidency in the 2 months he has been president than any other president in history besides like one or two others. (Not Bush who has had more vacation time than any other president.) But the republican's keep saying this bullshit, they know no president could fix the economy, fix two wars, deal with stem cell research, deal with the other couple of hundred different things going on in two months. They aren't stupid they know Obama couldn't do it in 2 months.
All of you wait and see you think were bad off now wait until BO spends half of this social program he calls a stimulus package. Nothing stimulating about. As it is set up now each job it creates will cost each tax payer 300,00 dollars. China here we come.
Even if what you say is true that we needed prompt action from government (which didn't happen regardless of what you say) the legislation put forth doesn't create any stimulus effect until 2011 or so and that isn't opinion that is fact by then inflation will have skyrocketed to the point that it isn't going to matter if you have a job or not because the dollars you earn will be completely useless as circulated bills will have doubled collapsing the entire market from within.
The Japanese Fed didn't even cut interest rates for over a year after their economic crisis begun, at least the US fed acted quickly when the sub prime mess ensued.
The Japanese Fed didn't even cut interest rates for over a year after their economic crisis begun, at least the US fed acted quickly when the sub prime mess ensued.
Acted quickly? Wtf are you talking about please tell me you are familiar with Community Redevelopment Act. It began under the Carter admin and Clinton basically took the program and put it on steriods. Subprime (one word not two moron) lending has been basically forced upon lenders to make risky loans are face large government fines
My God, you are retarded (honestly, for lack of a better word). Community REINVESTMENT act has its pros and cons just like anything else; a good lender would make sure that the low income family could afford the house they wanted to buy. On the other hand a predatory lender would slip in "low interest for the 1st year" but forget to tell them about the APR clause. The latter was used more because Wallstreet appetite for money became the status quo and this made lenders and banks more greedy
Something tells me that you know nothing of the current Community Redevelopment Act. Lenders were FORCED to make risky loans. The key word here is FORCED you ignorant fuck. You know shit about absolutely nothing. If lenders didn't lend they were fined by our government.
Cyclohexane , nice pretentious profile name. One of the simplest organic molecules (3 pi bonds away from being benzene)--Your pseudo erudition does nothing to impress anyone, esp me. I OWN YOU!
Organic chemistry is elementary, if your talking challenges let me extend one to you. According to the wave function of electrons that disallows objects of any appreciable mass to change its wave function, how is it possible for an electron to cross a nodal plane? Now we are dealing with the more perplexing world of quantum theory, which in terms of difficulty, is light years ahead of your little Orgo class. I know perfectly well what a conjugated molecule like benzene is...childs play....
Hahaha. Dude you are still messaging me? Holy fuck, I went to get a cup of coffee and I find you still talking to yourself. Ridiculous, right... you have been owning me for a week? I started making fun of your intelligence only 2 days ago. You are 33 years old buddy, don't you have like a family to look after?
Actually I am waiting on you to provide something to this so called argument. I am still waiting for you to explain this statement in full detail. "Doing nothing would have led to a bigger clusterfuck ".
Oh I sorry I was talking o a real human being. Here we go dipshit (your dream has come true- hahaha) and don't ask more questions before people actually finish answering
Instead of cyclohexane1 debating my channel comments he just erased them because he had no answer. He acts smart, lies to you all saying he attends UCLA and then will not debate those he calls uneducated. What a fucking loser.
Typical of an idiot with a chip on his shoulder can't let someone respond. Unlike you I am not in a dark room by myself waiting mouth in hand for a response. I will respond when I am not conversing with real human beings
Hey dumbass, most of this info is from a tangent a seminar Prof. went on when he was asked a question from a student asking whether a 2nd bailout package was needed. I agreed with him so there you go dipshit
Your not conversing with others you just have no answer. You do not attend UCLA or any other school for that matter but you can in fact fuck your mother.
Oh!!! that hurts me a lot. Anyway dipshit, when the Japanese came to their senses (around 1997 when Yamaichi collapsed, bailout took full effect 2 years later) Consumers had already dug in their heels and lost confidence in their markets
HAHAHAHAHA oh that is rich . Holy shit ,me and everyone else here who sees what you just typed are so grateful for this. You are using Japan's bailout to prove BO's will work. HAHAHA now I have heard it all please, please continue genius. You were saying.....
Again the problem with idiots who don't think before leaping, You asked me what would happen if the Gov. just sat and did nothing, there you go. I gave you a viable example- Japan. Japan unlike the US didn't react quick enough- their later bailout helped them kind of get out of the slump but after years of red. Obama's will work because of its quick approach, for fuck's sake Taro Aso; Japan's PM cautioned the US administration against taking things to casually or they would suffer the same fate
that is what is hilarious about the Japan model you use for your argument. The problem we face has been brewing much longer than the time elapsed in the Yamaichi collapse of the mid 90's.
Well during that period of subprime lending before the implosion in 2005/06 and stock crash in 2008. Everyone was making money, do you think anyone was going to raise their hand and say, "wait a minute, we are setting ourselves up for a catastrophe" Even Greenspan didn't understand what was going to happen

Everyone was making money, do you think anyone was going to raise their hand and say, "wait a minute, we are setting ourselves up for a catastrophe" Even Greenspan didn't understand what was going to happen
In 2004 Bush along with MCcain and other congressman put forth legislation to regulate the very two entities that caused the majority of this mess and it was blocked by house Dems
That was a dumbass move to block legislation, shithead. No one disagrees with that. That just reiterates my point of lack of inaction. Even the reps saw that regulation was necessary (the irony of it all).
That was a dumbass move to block legislation, shithead
Haha why am I the shithead I didn't block it . You can thank the Dems for that. Dems created the problem , Dems kept us from regulating the problem and now that the problem is out of hand we can rely on Dem Execs and Dem Congressional leaders to now pour gas all over the flames. Aren't you glad BO was elected now?
This package isn't perfect, the Dems know that- you need tax cuts because they are quick and limit bureaucracy; hence 40% of the stimulus is tax cuts. Plus if you are going to stick more debt to future gens might as well leave them with something better of; alt energy, infrastructure.
That is a slight understatement. Package should have been 90% tax cuts that would have reinvested in the infrastructure, created alt energy. What good is all that if it all ends up in the hands of foreign entities anyway which is what will happen
the thing is that that policy was already in effect with the Bush tax cuts, we have have seen little to no improvement in alt energy as seen by the mess in Detroit; instead CEOs' parachutes grew bigger and the common man didn't benefit from the whole "trickle down" doctrine
trickle down economics or Reaganomics works it created the technological age that Clinton inherited it also pulled us out of the Carter recession as well as the recession we were heading for in 00' . It kept us strong through 9/11. It takes more than Reaganomics to stop a crashed economy world wide. Tax cuts didn't cause this
Tax cuts no matter how well meaning they are also have cons; we talk about passing on debt to future generations- under Reagan's tax cuts the deficit tripled. Also unintended consequences like greed, Wallstreet with all this extra cash lying around caused bubbles in both the housing and stock market which led to the predicament we are in now. Yeah GDP skyrocketed by the human heart wanted more
Reagans tax cuts are the very reason we were able to invest in technology in the mid 80's and look how it advanced so fast which lead to a market that created a surplus for Clinton as Bush senior basically just employed the same ideals as Reagan which is partly why he lost, people became content. It doesn't happen over night it takes time just as this mess we are in took time.
Problem with Bush (W) was his massive spending. Yeah he cut taxes but increased spending out of the roof. Fiscal conservatism at its core cannot go wrong. Low taxation low responsible spending. It is everything you were ever taught as a kid
Yeah, but you have two wars going that are costing you an arm and a leg; His misstep of attacking Iraq blew spending atleast if he had increased education and alt energy spending people who be more lenient to the previous adminstration
Well just as it took us a long time to get into this mess, it will take us a while to get out hence there is no reason to rubbish a package that only passed a few days ago. We had purely Bush tax cuts these past 8 years and those failed (you say they kept us afloat but they didn't stop this implosion) Why not see if this will work- again it needs time, plain and simple
Even I think 50% taxes is irresponsible, you can't obviously think that would ever happen. Obama isn't that foolish and neither are the Dems for that matter, plus the Reps would have a field day if that ever happened - guaranteed return to power for the next century. Obama isn't increasing taxes, he is increasing the deficit
He is increasing taxes on working class making 250,000 or more but wait and see that number will drop. He is liberal for better or for worse that is what he is. He will raise taxes. Bill Clinton campaigned both terms on lowering taxes on the middle class and he did the opposite , wait and see
Again, those comments were made before the economy went to hell in a hand basket; that is why he has continuously distanced himself from such language. You don' t know what he is going to do in the future; it is all speculation. Plus we forget he is a politician; I mean Bush 41 said "no new taxes" but he issued higher taxes in office. Now granted he was frustrated by the Dems he could have stuck to his principles and not signed the bill. Things change once you are actually in office
He is about about to sign in largest transfer of debt in our nations history, literally double inflation in a matter of one term and you honestly don't believe with all certainty that he won't raise taxes. You can't be that naive.
On the rare occasion that he does raise taxes and seeing how things are going now it would be insane to do so, very few owners would see their own taxes rise. That's because according to the Tax Policy Center (non partisan org) the lion's share of taxable income comes from a small number of wealthy businesses. Out of 34.7 million filers with business income on Schedules C, E or F, 479,000 filers fall into the top two brackets. So about 98% of small business owners wouldn't be affected.
but my friend this stimulus does exactly nothing for small business, and as a small business owner,..it will def hurt me..the change aint helpin..its only helpin lazy niggas on welfare..those who will always have the victim mentality or think everything is owed to them..
A friend of mines father owns a Dental Lab. He built it through hard work and strong dedication. He employs over 85 workers and gives them job security in a week economy ,insures them and there families, pays an above average salary for under skilled workers and what does he get from Obama in return the largest tax hike in history. He deserves better from a country he put his trust in.
No. Your doing it so you can make a good life for you and your loved ones and if you are a responsible person no one can do that better than you. Not the government. How can they provide your needs when they don't know you. They can't only you can.
It is really as simple as leaving your check alone so that you may spend more so that companies gross more so that they may create more jobs to create more checks to spend even more OR we can just pay even more taxes so that we can give it to the very government that caused this mess with hopes they will fix it with our money. Kind of like social security ........oh never mind I forgot ITS BANKRUPT!!!!
. Honestly we should have taken our lumps after the rise of the Technological Age after Reagan but we treated are economy as a credit card. Like I said this has been brewing for decades so your idea that the Feds acted promptly is flat out false.
American legislation always acts after The fact shithead. After something catastrophic has happened and the general public is asking what happened. We don't invest in preventative measures; that is why the Fed acted promptly given our tract record for responding to economic emergencies. What you are asking me rhetorical questions like why the American way of implementation is the way it is- who the fuck knows.
American legislation always acts after The fact shithead
HAHAHA. Why do you keep calling me a shithead? Are you upset that I know more than you do? Listen dude THE FEDS DIDN'T ACT PROMPTLY. THERE WAS NOTHING PROMPT ABOUT IT. PROMPT WOULD HAVE BEEN LATE 80's EARLY 90's
Not really, although my respect for you has risen abit. Nevertheless, that idealistic view that prompt would have been late 80s early 90s is impossible; remember there were 2 republic Pres. during that time period as well.
Not really, although my respect for you has risen abit. Nevertheless, that idealistic view that prompt would have been late 80s early 90s is impossible; remember there were 2 republic Pres. during that time period as well.
Yes you are exactly right but they had there hands tied by Dem house and sen through all of admins Reps didn't gain back power until late 94
"Well during that period of subprime lending before the implosion in 2005/06 and stock crash in 2008." cyclohexane1 you need to understand that this began long long long ago and it is no accident.
If the Gov. hadn't done anything this economy would have gone down the same path the Japanese economy took back in 1989. Initial public opposition to the proposed Tokyo bailout at the onset of the implosion prolonged economic recovery and because of that Japan lost a decade where GDP was either stagnant or decreased
BTW while you are searching for a response don't forget you owe us all a economic lecture on how "Doing nothing would have led to a bigger clusterfuck ".
Instead of cyclohexane1answering a challenge he opted to message me insults privately. He likes to disguise himself as being very knowledgeable but when faced with someone who in fact does have his ducks in a row (again colloquial phrase) he pussies out to insulting via private message. What a fucking loser!
Wow!!!! You are fast, damn fast. Haha you are waiting tentatively for me to respond aren't you. Poor little dipshit, you must have had a horrible day at your little shit job. I am sorry if you have a chip on your shoulder.
Wow!!!! You are fast, damn fast. Haha you are waiting tentatively for me to respond aren't you. Poor little dipshit, you must have had a horrible day at your little shit job. I am sorry if you have a chip on your shoulder.
The regulations that Clinton put it required that lenders finance homes in high risk markets or face very large fines. So, in order to make those loans, they had to relax the standards.
To tell you how much the market has changed, 7 months ago he was notified that loans were no longer a part of his/her goals.
Funny, when Bush was spending billions and billions on the Iraq war and flushing more billions down the toilet with his failed tax cuts how come Reps didn't cry about future generations bearing the brunt of his irresponsibility.Oh now we care about our children!!! I guess history started when Obama came into power; this idiot makes me laugh, just keep watching Fox news and making videos under what appears to be a make shift cloth bunker. Douche
cyclohexane1 the spending of the war didn't put us in a recession and neither did the tax cuts in fact most economist credit the tax cuts as the very reason the economy stayed afloat as long as it did while the practice of SUB PRIME lending drove our economy into the ground. Now what is really funny is that it was the Dems who forced banks to provide risky loans to people who should have never have had them to begin with and your messiah has just provide gasoline for the flames. You are a moron
You're a moron. "tax cuts helped the economy stay afloat"? To you, by saying most economists said... you think you are spreading credible info; I am not even wasting my time with a high school dropout by responding to that lie. It was greed that prompted these banks to buy mortgages from lenders who preyed on uneducated people like yourself- duping them into APRs. Bush's administration facilitated this under the whole "free markets on steroids" guise. Bush also pushed homes for the masses
Haha you calling me a dropout and then ranting about cliches. Priceless! The difference between you and I is I can back every statement I made with the facts but since you tube is built for plants such as yourself giving there ignorant absent from reality propaganda I can't send you the info via web addresses so I will message you to show you that I am right and you are a simple minded doggy fuck. Oh I almost forgot...... fuck your mother.
Seems you need visual stimulation in order to understand shit since you are low on the intellectual food chain; CNBC, House of Cards presented by David Faber. You back statements with Faux news rubbish, please. You probably never even left your little shit town
Haha how typical, all insults and no substance that's how I know you know that I know more than you. Did that just confuse you? You assume that where I reside is where I am from and you don't even know where that is. Again you fail miserably. Last try for some substance to your way of thinking, if there is any. Try hard. If you can pin point any of my facts to Fox then by all means. No one needs to watch any news network to know what I know if they are free thinkers which you seem to not be.
Obama in a statement yesterday blamed the shocking new round of subprime-related bankruptcies on the free-market system, and specifically the "trickle-down" economics of the Bush administration, which he tried to gig opponent John McCain for wanting to extend.
But it was the Clinton administration, obsessed with multiculturalism, that dictated where mortgage lenders could lend, and originally helped create the market for the high-risk subprime loans now infecting like a retrovirus the balance sheets of many of Wall Street's most revered institutions.
Tough new regulations forced lenders into high-risk areas where they had no choice but to lower lending standards to make the loans that sound business practices had previously guarded against making. It was either that or face stiff government penalties.
First of all, Thank you for serving this country but I think you are a moron. I mean fuck the economy going down the drain you have a fucking ideological theory to protect right. I believe in capitalism as much as the next guy but I am also a realist. Doing nothing would have led to a bigger clusterfuck
cyclohexane1 all week check my substance over his...... uh...... well I guess he didn't have anything substantive to say. Then he had the this to say.
"Seems you need visual stimulation in order to understand shit since you are low on the intellectual food chain; CNBC, House of Cards presented by David Faber. You back statements with Faux news rubbish, please. You probably never even left your little shit town". HAHA isn't that great.
cyclohexane1 no one gives a shit about your fake appreciation for there service so as far as that goes do us all a favor and be real, BUT I would like for you to explain to everyone here in all your economic wisdom how "Doing nothing would have led to a bigger clusterfuck ". Explain to all of us just what would have happened bit by bit.
Barak Obama quote Jan. 9 2009 "There is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help jump start the economy" . Ah but this is not true as the CATO institute, a nonprofit public research foundation, put out a full page ad in the NY Times listing over 250 world renowned economists denouncing the social programs that BO is calling a stimulus package........
....saying " government spending is not the way to improve economic growth, lower tax rates and a reduction of the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth". Again 250 economists signed on to this but since you cyclohexane1 are much wiser than they are, I mean you go to UCLA so surely you know more than these idiots, tell us all why they are wrong. We will all await your wisdom.
Cyclohexane , nice pretentious profile name. One of the simplest organic molecules (3 pi bonds away from being benzene)--Your pseudo erudition does nothing to impress anyone, esp me. I OWN YOU!
damn bro you thanked the man for his service then called him a moron..after he offered his opinion, honestly I think soldiers have more rights to speak when they have endured and have experienced what you and I have not,,..true motherfucking sacrifice ..a realist..this bitch ass stimulus is not the gd answer..any intelligent nigga can see Obama is a empty suit, but to disregard morals, you might as well be a leftist too
cyclohexane1 all week check my substance over his...... uh...... well I guess he didn't have anything substantive to say. Then he had the this to say.
"Seems you need visual stimulation in order to understand shit since you are low on the intellectual food chain; CNBC, House of Cards presented by David Faber. You back statements with Faux news rubbish, please. You probably never even left your little shit town". HAHA isn't that great.
That's right cyclohexane1 you and all of the other Obama sheep have just been played like finely tuned violin. Be sure to tell your kids ,if you do make the mistake of reproducing, that you were part of history and that you were a proud liberal throughout. Tell them that the end was justified by the means and that even though they are paying a debt that you voted for, that in the end it was worth it because you helped make history.
Plus, fuck my mother? For fuck's sake, if you are going to insult someone, pick the least cliche youtube insult... Okay? Now take the sand out of your vagina!!!!!
The untold story in this whole national crisis is that President Clinton put on steroids the Community Redevelopment Act, a well-intended Carter-era law designed to encourage minority homeownership. And in so doing, he helped create the market for the risky subprime loans that he and Democrats now decry as not only greedy but "predatory."
The only thing Bush has had to do with this is that in 2004 he (along with McCain who cosponsored the bill) and a few other congressmen tried to overhaul and regulate how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were run and their financing. You can read about in an article published in Forbes Mag in May of 2004.
My best friend is a personal banker for Wachovia/ Wells Fargo. The only reason a lender could decline a loan is credit, debt / income ratio or collateral.Anything else is a against the law. I mean, you can be 97 years old, and if you meet the above three, can take out a 30 year loan.
Give him a chance, already pushing for the same fiscal irresponsibility as Bush and you want people to give him a chance? Besides your from Canada, shouldn't you be more concerned affairs in your country, like your failing health care system?
Crack, I sure am glad I am on your side. Man you amost made me feel guilty watching this ! To bad for the hypnotyzed ohbombaites as they are the ones that are let down. We were expecting a let down! Great video!
The Dems still invoke Hoover from time to time iot demonize Reps. So you can bet Dems will ride the Bush-bashing train for years, and years, and...years.
We need Right leaning comedians (if there are any) to lampoon Dems. Expose them to riducle for blaming everything on Bush from global warming to the crash of the hindenberg.
Re that portion of the under 30 crowd who voted for Obama; it's only poetic justice that your generation will be the primary bill payer for Obama's govt expansion.
to listen republicans they damn themselves. the extreme partisan cackling of rep. representatives hopefully will keep them as a minority party for a long time. they never learned from 06 OR 08 that extremism in the pursuit of ANYTHING is no virtue!
obama: How typical of a Leftist. If it comes from the Left is "fair, compassionate, correct". If it comes from the Right it's "extreme, divisive".
You talk about Rep cackling; I don't hear anybody in the Rep party laughing about anything...not when the Dems have 100% control of the Pres/congress and are moving full tilt to create european-style socialism.
And re irresponsible pols, remember what the Dems did to Bush for 5 long years. 24/7 fear mongering and partisan rancor.
obama: I see you're only 20 and I don't want to cynically burst your naive bubble, but Obama is something "new and unique" the way a new menu item at McDonald's is new and unique. Which is to say not at all.
The Reps will pick up seats in 2010, Obama, barring major errors and a if the economy recovers, will be reelected in 2012, and we'll have a Rep Pres in 2016. The same pattern that has occurred for the last 60 years.
obama: Listen carefully. Obama's socialism must be paid for. The propaganda that there are a few "rich" people that just need to be taxed is a lie.
The programs will be paid for by taxing the massive middle class. In other words, by taxing YOU. You've got your entire life and earning potential ahead of you and it will be significantly impacted by your increased taxes. Less money in your pocket = a lower standard of living.
And all the great "free" stuff? Not for you pal, it's for the poor.
jack i hope that in 2010 the day after the election the newspapers say this "INCREDIBLE NEWS democrats 300 in house republicans 45. senate democrats 97 republicans just 3. can YOU read that clearly!
hmmm...so does this mean that obama's not going to pay my mortgage and put gas in my car?
and does this mean we can officially start saying "i told you so" to the singing idiots who voted for obama? cause i've seriously been waiting to say i told you so.
With a press conference stating our economy is the worst since the great depression, how is a non story of HGH and Arod, even enter the discussion? Or last weeks endless attacks on Michael Phelps and his bong hit!
You see a pattern here? Tear down American Sports figures, while raising fear levels!
When is this illegal alien "president" going to repeal hemp laws and do something worth while!
Absolutely!! Everything they have said, all the promises have been shot down in flames. Liars, the whole lot of them. Change...not hardly. This guy is not the Messiah, he is a human, and a pretty pathetic one at that, Hell of a speaker but just can't follow through. Sad little legacy that's just starting up huh?
This is full of irony.

MarkBH70 2 years ago
You're mostly right, except regarding your long-term view of things; there will be no "grandchildren's grandchildren". Humanity's story is winding up.

It amazes me that people tout the Republicans as being racist. Guess who the first Republican president was. Oh, yeah, it was that good ole racist, Abraham Lincoln. You know, the one who fought slavery. All the Dem's want is bigger government with more control. To keep the poor people poor so that they have to depend on bigger. It amazes me that people can be so ignorant of this. Good work, Crackroc. Keep it up.

feels better than to be fucked in the ass still like the republicans have been doing to us the past decade.
you're and idiot and should stop fear mongering retards.
whosgumisthis 2 years ago
I don't know Crackhead when one of the things you said comes true one day, perhaps I'll be able to answer. But since all you are doing is creating fear and hatred because you are a bigoted, ignorant fool who knows nothing about the economy or the wars we are in or what Obama actually promised, or that Obama told us long before he ran for president that he isn't against all wars...oh but wait you'd never say that because it would make you look wrong and like a fear mongerer.
Mglosk 3 years ago
This guy is a complete total moron. He needs to be educated in the worst way.Nothing Obama has done or said goes against anything he has promised. He is getting us out of the war.He did say things were going to get worse before they were going to get better. He did tell everyone that there is going to be a great debt. He is jumping into this entire thing that the repuppetkins caused to happen in the first place.
Crackrockid, why don't you learn something before you open your mouth and lie.
Mglosk 3 years ago
Umm the debt was there long before Bush. Now its going to be ten times worse.
gbvegeta 2 years ago
It's going to get a little worse, JUST LIKE OBAMA SAID A THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE AND AFTER HE WAS ELECTED. So I don't see the problem. The economy is starting to get a bit better already. I'd not worry about the debt. Sorry, but us "LIBERALS" don't feel used. Being used is what happens to republicans by their own people who they lied to. Dems don't have that problem right now. We were told everything, and what to expect, BEFORE he was elected. And that's what's going on right now. Sorry.
Mglosk 2 years ago
We didn't have Debt, we had a surplus with Clinton you idiot.
Mglosk 2 years ago
We have been in debt since WWII. And i believe during Clinton we balanced the budget. We were still in 10 trillion dollars debt to ourselves. Right now we are printing money, that causes debt to ourselves. How about you educated yourself before you call someone an idiot.
gbvegeta 2 years ago
The Budget Deficit is what I was talking about.
Jeezus.
Mglosk 2 years ago
I'm not saying I think the Republicans haven't helped put us in this situation, but yes, both parties for the last 75 years have drained the treasury so now if we want to spend money without devaluing we have to borrow.

Acted quickly? Wtf are you talking about please tell me you are familiar with Community Redevelopment Act. It began under the Carter admin and Clinton basically took the program and put it on steriods. Subprime (one word not two moron) lending has been basically forced upon lenders to make risky loans are face large government fines
fallstoofar 3 years ago
My God, you are retarded (honestly, for lack of a better word). Community REINVESTMENT act has its pros and cons just like anything else; a good lender would make sure that the low income family could afford the house they wanted to buy. On the other hand a predatory lender would slip in "low interest for the 1st year" but forget to tell them about the APR clause. The latter was used more because Wallstreet appetite for money became the status quo and this made lenders and banks more greedy
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
Something tells me that you know nothing of the current Community Redevelopment Act. Lenders were FORCED to make risky loans. The key word here is FORCED you ignorant fuck. You know shit about absolutely nothing. If lenders didn't lend they were fined by our government.

Japan unlike the US didn't react quick enough- their later bailout helped them kind of get out of the slump but after years of red. Obama's will work because of its quick approach, for fuck's sake Taro Aso; Japan's PM cautioned the US administration against taking things to casually or they would suffer the same fate

Haha why am I the shithead I didn't block it . You can thank the Dems for that. fallstoofar 3 years ago
This package isn't perfect, the Dems know that- you need tax cuts because they are quick and limit bureaucracy; hence 40% of the stimulus is tax cuts. Plus if you are going to stick more debt to future gens might as well leave them with something better of; alt energy, infrastructure.
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
This package isn't perfect
That is a slight understatement. Package should have been 90% tax cuts that would have reinvested in the infrastructure, created alt energy. What good is all that if it all ends up in the hands of foreign entities anyway which is what will happen
fallstoofar 3 years ago
the thing is that that policy was already in effect with the Bush tax cuts, we have have seen little to no improvement in alt energy as seen by the mess in Detroit; instead CEOs' parachutes grew bigger and the common man didn't benefit from the whole "trickle down" doctrine
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
trickle down economics or Reaganomics works it created the technological age that Clinton inherited it also pulled us out of the Carter recession as well as the recession we were heading for in 00' . It kept us strong through 9/11. It takes more than Reaganomics to stop a crashed economy world wide. Tax cuts didn't cause this
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Check out the Cato institute.
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Tax cuts no matter how well meaning they are also have cons; we talk about passing on debt to future generations- under Reagan's tax cuts the deficit tripled. Also unintended consequences like greed, Wallstreet with all this extra cash lying around caused bubbles in both the housing and stock market which led to the predicament we are in now. Yeah GDP skyrocketed by the human heart wanted more
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
Reagans tax cuts are the very reason we were able to invest in technology in the mid 80's and look how it advanced so fast which lead to a market that created a surplus for Clinton as Bush senior basically just employed the same ideals as Reagan which is partly why he lost, people became content. It doesn't happen over night it takes time just as this mess we are in took time.
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Problem with Bush (W) was his massive spending. Yeah he cut taxes but increased spending out of the roof. Fiscal conservatism at its core cannot go wrong. Low taxation low responsible spending. It is everything you were ever taught as a kid
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Yeah, but you have two wars going that are costing you an arm and a leg; His misstep of attacking Iraq blew spending atleast if he had increased education and alt energy spending people who be more lenient to the previous adminstration
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
Well just as it took us a long time to get into this mess, it will take us a while to get out hence there is no reason to rubbish a package that only passed a few days ago. We had purely Bush tax cuts these past 8 years and those failed (you say they kept us afloat but they didn't stop this implosion) Why not see if this will work- again it needs time, plain and simple
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
It is take the power from the private and placing it into the public sector . Makes no sense at all.
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Well if the private sector is being denied access to credit what can they do. Just run to uncle Sam and ask for intervention.
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
Why are you going to UCLA? So you can get a good job and pay 50% in taxes?
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Even I think 50% taxes is irresponsible, you can't obviously think that would ever happen. Obama isn't that foolish and neither are the Dems for that matter, plus the Reps would have a field day if that ever happened - guaranteed return to power for the next century. Obama isn't increasing taxes, he is increasing the deficit
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
He is increasing taxes on working class making 250,000 or more but wait and see that number will drop. He is liberal for better or for worse that is what he is. He will raise taxes. Bill Clinton campaigned both terms on lowering taxes on the middle class and he did the opposite , wait and see
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Again, those comments were made before the economy went to hell in a hand basket; that is why he has continuously distanced himself from such language. You don' t know what he is going to do in the future; it is all speculation. Plus we forget he is a politician; I mean Bush 41 said "no new taxes" but he issued higher taxes in office. Now granted he was frustrated by the Dems he could have stuck to his principles and not signed the bill. Things change once you are actually in office
cyclohexane1 3 years ago
He is about about to sign in largest transfer of debt in our nations history, literally double inflation in a matter of one term and you honestly don't believe with all certainty that he won't raise taxes. You can't be that naive.
fallstoofar 3 years ago
On the rare occasion that he does raise taxes and seeing how things are going now it would be insane to do so, very few owners would see their own taxes rise. That's because according to the Tax Policy Center (non partisan org) the lion's share of taxable income comes from a small number of wealthy businesses. Out of 34.7 million filers with business income on Schedules C, E or F, 479,000 filers fall into the top two brackets. So about 98% of small business owners wouldn't be affected.
cyclohexane1 3 years ago

fallstoofar 3 years ago
The government should work for the people not vise versa. Taxes are not the answer
fallstoofar 3 years ago
It is really as simple as leaving your check alone so that you may spend more so that companies gross more so that they may create more jobs to create more checks to spend even more OR we can just pay even more taxes so that we can give it to the very government that caused this mess with hopes they will fix it with our money. Kind of like social security ........oh never mind I forgot ITS BANKRUPT!!!!
fallstoofar 3 years ago

If the Gov. hadn't done anything this economy would have gone down the same path the Japanese economy took back in 1989. The regulations that Clinton put it required that lenders finance homes in high risk markets or face very large fines. So, in order to make those loans, they had to relax the standards.

cyclohexane1 the spending of the war didn't put us in a recession and neither did the tax cuts in fact most economist credit the tax cuts as the very reason the economy stayed afloat as long as it did while the practice of SUB PRIME lending drove our economy into the ground. Now what is really funny is that it was the Dems who forced banks to provide risky loans to people who should have never have had them to begin with and your messiah has just provide gasoline for the flames. You are a moron
fallstoofar 3 years ago
You're a moron. "tax cuts helped the economy stay afloat"? To you, by saying most economists said... you think you are spreading credible info; I am not even wasting my time with a high school dropout by responding to that lie. It was greed that prompted these banks to buy mortgages from lenders who preyed on uneducated people like yourself- duping them into APRs. Bush's administration facilitated this under the whole "free markets on steroids" guise. Bush also pushed homes for the masses

Obama in a statement yesterday blamed the shocking new round of subprime-related bankruptcies on the free-market system, and specifically the "trickle-down" economics of the Bush administration, which he tried to gig opponent John McCain for wanting to extend.
fallstoofar 3 years ago
But it was the Clinton administration, obsessed with multiculturalism, that dictated where mortgage lenders could lend, and originally helped create the market for the high-risk subprime loans now infecting like a retrovirus the balance sheets of many of Wall Street's most revered institutions.
fallstoofar 3 years ago
Tough new regulations forced lenders into high-risk areas where they had no choice but to lower lending standards to make the loans that sound business practices had previously guarded against making. It was either that or face stiff government penalties.

Ah but this is not true as the CATO institute, a nonprofit public research foundation, put out a full page ad in the NY Times listing over 250 world renowned economists denouncing the social programs that BO is calling a stimulus package........

cyclohexane1 all week check my substance over his...... uh...... well I guess he didn't have anything substantive to say.

Oh and cyclohexane1 one more thing........... fuck your mother!!!

The untold story in this whole national crisis is that President Clinton put on steroids the Community Redevelopment Act, a well-intended Carter-era law designed to encourage minority homeownership. And in so doing, he helped create the market for the risky subprime loans that he and Democrats now decry as not only greedy but "predatory."
fallstoofar 3 years ago
The only thing Bush has had to do with this is that in 2004 he (along with McCain who cosponsored the bill) and a few other congressmen tried to overhaul and regulate how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were run and their financing. You can read about in an article published in Forbes Mag in May of 2004.
The Democrats Blocked the measure:
Top 3 receivers of Fannie Mae Funds.
Chris Dodd
Barack Obama
John Kerry
It's not a coincidence

My best friend is a personal banker for Wachovia/ Wells Fargo. The only reason a lender could decline a loan is credit, debt / income ratio or collateral.Anything else is a against the law. I mean, you can be 97 years old, and if you meet the above three, can take out a 30 year loan.

1st - Bush gave out the first trillion bailout. Which is the same amount he pissed away in the Iraq war.
2nd- Obama's been in office for a couple of weeks, and he's still dealing with Bush's mess. Give it a chance.
Bush and Rumsfeld promised a 6 month war in Iraq. That was 6 years ago.
They promised it would cost nothing, that was a trillion dollars ago.
You guys royally fucked up everything for the last 8 years, including the economy.
Time to STFU and give someone else a try.
rob66679 3 years ago
Give him a chance, already pushing for the same fiscal irresponsibility as Bush and you want people to give him a chance? Besides your from Canada, shouldn't you be more concerned affairs in your country, like your failing health care system?
bittergunowner12 3 years ago
There are more people with no insurance in America than the total population of Canada.
If this financial meltdown has shown the world anything, it's that business can't regulate itself. So obviously a HMO is no different.
If it wasn't for all the un-insured Americans that come here for free health care, our system would be in good shape.
Are you saying you didn't vote for Bush ?
rob66679 3 years ago
You know whats funny? Bill Clinton tried universal health care in the 90's, guess what it failed.

JohnR22926 3 years ago 2
to listen republicans they damn themselves. the extreme partisan cackling of rep. representatives hopefully will keep them as a minority party for a long time. they never learned from 06 OR 08 that extremism in the pursuit of ANYTHING is no virtue!
obamadidit2008 3 years ago
obama: How typical of a Leftist.
24/7 fear mongering and partisan rancor.

obamadidit2008 3 years ago
obama: I see you're only 20 and I don't want to cynically burst your naive bubble, but Obama is something "new and unique" the way a new menu item at McDonald's is new and unique. Which is to say not at all.
The Reps will pick up seats in 2010, Obama, barring major errors and a if the economy recovers, will be reelected in 2012, and we'll have a Rep Pres in 2016. The same pattern that has occurred for the last 60 years.
JohnR22926 3 years ago
i hope we just keep electing democrats for quite some time until i am 80. by then i might be to senile to care
obamadidit2008 3 years ago
obama: Listen carefully.
JohnR22926 3 years ago
can you do that again in English, because I am all about what you are saying, yo.
jackmehoffer68 3 years ago
jack i hope that in 2010 the day after the election the newspapers say this "INCREDIBLE NEWS democrats 300 in house republicans 45. senate democrats 97 republicans just 3. can YOU read that clearly!
obamadidit2008 3 years ago
hmmm...so does this mean that obama's not going to pay my mortgage and put gas in my car?
and does this mean we can officially start saying "i told you so" to the singing idiots who voted for obama? cause i've seriously been waiting to say i told you so.

Morning Charles! Great commentary!!!
