good point man, a few months ago i noticed two dreads next to each other with very weak roots so i just combined them into a fat one which splits into two small ones, it looks very very good! i also don't like perfect locks (even though i'm female haha). Those dreadlock products those sites sell...... i would never put it on my head, natural is always better.

Don't mess with the roots, they will always be loose, because it's the New Hair coming in. It locks up after a few months anyway. It's almost a waste of time to mess with the roots, and if there are hairs popping up, they won't after a while, so just let it be, it will all find its place.

I only had them for 2 years but I have friends with dreads and I've done a lot of research. Not sure why I cut them. Bout 4 in the mornin, messed up. Still sittin on my dresser.

Hey thanks man for making a video to my question. The advice helped a lot. I'm probably going to keep that dread the same but let it grow out because it wont look right if it is combined with another dread. Hopefully it will thicken up at that weak point when it gets longer. And why do dreads get weak at the root sometimes? Thanks.

It could be from a number of things. The most common is breakage which usually means they're too dry. Try aloe. Also Try our shampoo. It has oils and vitamins that strengthen your hair. Maybe your twisting them too much and causing the hair to break at the roots Good luck

Yeah that dread is extremely dry that is definitely the reason for it being so weak. It is not too weak where it will fall out but it is getting there. Can i stop it in time with the aloe? and/or your shampoo?
