I would of used bone pins.

Bone pins have more weight than ebony,,also a D-21 that has a Brazilian fretboard & bridge has a bright tone unlike a D-28. Chris wanted more of the D-28 tone rather than a bright tone . I don't have FI or bone pins in any of my own guitars.

Wow! An amazing difference, as noticeable as it is on video I'm sure in real life the differences would be like night and day. Great sounding box!
