yo yo loach indian pakistani Botia almorhae

Hey, so I just got a yo yo loach and a glass catfish, they get along really well but what should I feed them? (adopted not bought)

Hi @thend30 and thanks for your question.

Your two fish are scavengers so will eat just about any fish food you feed them.

I feed mine a good mixture of foods from freeze dried, frozen and dry foods. Any live foods I feed my fish are either found or cultivated by me. Because I have my yo yo loaches in a community tank I just feed all the fish at the same time. If you have nothing other than scavengers then I would suggest wafers or any type of sinking food for them.

Do you have any issues with these guys jumping? I dont have a top on my aquarium and I heard they sometimes jump. Im looking to get rid of my snails.

Hi @Showstoppah. I personally haven't had any of mine jump and hit the cover glass but I can say that they are a very active fish at the water surface when I feed them any type of floating food only.

I have five of these guys do you know how big they get?

Hi @kingbucky6 and thanks for your question.

I belive they can grow to a maximum size of 6 inches but I have never seen one of that size, I keep mine in an 8ft tank and I feed them live, frozen and dry foods and at the moment the biggest one I have is just over 3 1/2 inches.
