Too many fatalities and mutilations are happening with the crazy ones that "own" wild and exotic animals now, these animals deserve to live in this planet free, and our responsibility is to help them do that. Taking care of the planet, implementing programs to learn how to live without killing themn as we are doing. There are many solutions to the problem, but not condemning them to a life in jail, where animals and humans will be all in hell.

umm, yeah, we could tame them and destroy the rest of the earth. or we could save the rainforests and savannahs and stop taking over the world, thus saving the world AND it's inhabitants. ever think of that? you know, scientists are working on huge city-boats that float on water that we can live in, and even in blimp-like hotels so we can live in the sky! that way, we wont be taking up so much room. and there is outer-space, too.

this video talks about "love and admiration", but what about respect? dressing a chimpanzee in human clothing is degrading and completely disrespectful. if you love an animal, you should respect him/her. living a human life is no life at all for these individuals! how unfair of you to take their freedom and destroy it just like people are destroying their habitats.

Respect for the living doesn't matter about clothes or 'freedom'. A wild they have never known fighting for survival versus a needs met and enriched life. Hmmmm- which AR org indoctrinated you? Extinction means no more. The range is to suit their needs. If their needs are met in a smaller range they travel less. Common sense even the animals themselves know. They don't waste energy traveling to find what is already there.

In order to SAVE animals from EXTINCTION is to preserve their habitat and give people sexually education to bring the population down. There is NO need to keep animal locked up- some animals' home ranges are up to 500 sq. miles! You can never replace that!

NO WILD animal can be TAMMED!

98% of exotic pets die before the age of 2.. there is NO NEED for this pain & suffering!

98% of exotics die before age 2? You do realize that fish are included in that number, along with other species that have a high mortality rate in their natural habitats also. If you would do some research, you would find out that exotic cats fare much better and have a much higher infant survival rate in captivity, not to mention almost double the life expectancy.

Much better to have? Hm, I highly doubt that- you're putting yourself and not to mention the cats life in danger. The food is scarce, eh? Well if YOU did some research you'd find out that al long time ago before the food was scarce their territory was the same- they have so much terriotory because they're territorial.

Pets are part of nature- just as humans are. Learning to actually coexist, live with, is a much better option. Ecology lessons are all around us only some choose to make a separation where there is none.

Whoever prepared this video seems to require a good lesson in term of ecology.

Human have already impacting the nature enough with all the crazy things we have done. Pets have such great impact to nature. They introduce diseases that native animals may not have immunity to. They might prey on native animals that has no defense, if the pet escaped. And keeping pets also take up the resources, (light, energy, food, water...etc) which may instead be used to protect the nature wellbeings.

we shouldnt take in pets we should stop destroying habitats and do more recycling i know easier said then done but it should be a jail time law to in my opnion

As someone concerned about the environment, you should be absolutely thrilled that people choose to own exotic pets in particular. While they're tending to their pets they're normally not jetting around in a private aircraft, buying a fleet of gas-guzzling vehicles to collect, doing laps on the most popular street in town, or watching as big of a plasma screen as they wanted. Outdoor exotic pet habitats also can make superb places for wild small animals, birds, and vegetation to occupy too.

Reality is humans are encroaching more & more on these animals "wild" habitats, & aren't going to stop. If people support AR groups in believing animals should remain in their wild habitats, they WILL become extinct. Their chance of survival is by being bred in captivity, & raised by zoos or private owners. Would you rather see them extict or living, well cared for in captivity?

We must not take in wild animals as pets for they are wild and must remain so. Taking in small animals as pets might destroy large food webs in the wild. It is okay to breed wild animals in captivity as long as they are later released. It is no good shoving them into a cage and giving them kisses every so often. It is absurd.

It is because these endangered exotic animals are being bred in captivity there is no need to take them from the wild....and it preserves the species for future generations.

Most of the exotic animals in captivity are captive bred. They have never seen the wild thus do not miss it. Also most of these animals are catered to and live better than a lot of people.

We need to set aside our flawed definition of 'wild animal', and remember that many animals can do just fine in captivity. Although the task of dealing with an animal's instinstual behavior cannot be neglected (and this is true of common housepets as well), most animals have a remarkable ability to adapt, and in the end are quite happy sharing their world with people.

All people working for preservation has done that since like 50 years? It isn't gonna stop several species from disappearing. In China, the river dolphin has recently gone extinct due to building dams and altering landscape. India will soon have a bigger populace, on less land area. What room and habitat will there be left? Your solution isn't a solution since humans stop it from happening.
