There is also a recording of Michelangeli's U.S. debut in 1948, in a brilliant collaboration with Dmitri Mitropoulos of this concerto; I do wish someone would upload that on YouTube, even with its somewhat compromised recorded quality.

I'll put it up soon, since it is my favorite recording of it along with Sauer.
Although there is a live Michelangeli/Scherchen which wets my curiosity.
