how would a fifteen year old fit into one of these camps? this summer i had enough money for three weeks of training and a round trip plane ticket..... but my mom wouuldn't let me go..... can a begginer be taught
Depends on what camp you go to. you should choose one that has both western and thai fighters. They will teach you as much want if you show them you committed.
okay so i watched this video through a couple times, read all the comments, walked over to my bag and attempted "the skip", and i gotta say, i feel a lot quicker with it, my kicks are placed better with it, plus i was having problems exhaling on my kicks, not when i skip. more fluid all around, cant wait to take it to class. kaew fairtex is the shit.
WOW! i trained at Bangplee in 04 - it looked nothing like the video - they have done major upgrades! check my vid on Jow in 04 - i like how you caught Keow improptu thought - Nice vid!
yeah, this guy is GOOD! initially i thought you guys were harping about the guy training in the ring.. that frankly weren't that hot (his hips were hardly rolling). and then the other guy started kicking the bag and i was like -- that's how the shitz done!!!
Yooo...I tried it in class today ...It somehow feels much better, after skipping my front foot is already well positioned (45 degree angle), my hips are already involved in the motion and the springing motion from the kicking leg brings momentum to the kick, making it more explosive. I have notice other Thai champions doing the same thing, particularly my second favorite thai (after Buakaw) Samkor.Thanx for the video dietnesstea.
yeah you can skip even when your not switching, i do it all the time for momentum and power, BUT, it is more obviuos that is, easier for your opponent to check, so if you time it right its good, time it wrong and its telegraphed and checked..you just need to pick the right time to do it
I have been skipping since I first seen this video now. Once again thanx Dietnesstea for da vid.
What I realized is that when I skip with both legs my opponent gets confused and even though he might know I'm throwing a kick it's hard for him to pinpoint which leg I'm throwing at him, because the movement is so similar on both sides. So I'll skip then I won't just to keep him guessing.I even came up with a technique where I fake the skip and throw a hard cross
Nice vid, I myself practice Muay Thai and I can appreciate the strength of this guy's (Kaew) kicks. What I also noticed is how he skips while doing the back leg round kick, people usually skip while kicking the front leg, but he skips with both. I had never thought about it, but I think it may add momentum into your kick, it may add speed too. I'm going to try it on the bag later today and I'll let yall know.
wow u guys went out to thai to train, crazy how long u guys stould out there for?? if u are going to get back at me meassage me some how so i get it thxx
