  • Watched this with iz3D and StereoScopic Player. Really cool effects.

  • I saw this on tv a few months ago and I never realised how unrealistic it was

The shark when it came through the glass, at the end of the film has to be one of the most unrealistic things ever to be shown in a film.

and just when you think things couldnt get worse someone decides to make Jaws the revenge - On this you actually can see the mechanics operating the shark.

  • the shark looks so fake

  • @13awesomeboy Not as fake as {the higher budgeted} Jaws The Revenge though!

  • 3D has matured so much since this.

Jaws 3D made $100M and was the quintessential 3D film for a long time, becoming the face of the 80's 3D fad.

That's why anyone who compares today's 3D (Avatar, Tron Legacy, How to Train Your Dragon, etc) to the 80's fad is a blooming idiot.

  • It was fun to see this in the theater, but yeah, not the best "Jaws" movie, that is for sure...better than "Jaws:The Revenge" though! Michael Caine should lose an Oscar for his shit acting in that...the end is hilarious!

  • how is that shark scary?

  • "Let the awefulness of this film leap out of the screen at you!"

  • This is the first time I've ever seen a YouTube video like this. I'm amazed -- the "cross eyed" option actually works! However, I think I might invest in an actual set of 3-D glasses, just for the sake of my eyes...

  • Excellent,Thumbs up!!

  • cool thanks

  • The sub actually popped out! that was amazing!

  • 1:30 Loaf of bread with fins...scary!

  • They really freaked the fuck-out when they saw that shark didn't they...

    I like the severed arm.

  • it would be good if the 3d could support Real D glasses

  • @JoelH790

You need a display like the Zalman Trimon monitor. Then you can watch it with Real D glasses by selecting interlaced. That's what I do! Real D glasses need a polarized display to work.

  • well seeing this in 3-d gave me just a little respect for the ending now

  • cross eyed

  • I love at 1:25 when the front part of the sub is just masked out but obviously special effects guys were too busy jacking themselves off to put in even the slightest bit off effort.

  • They showed this movie on tv without telling to use 3d glasses. I thoght this movie was made in the 50´s-60's or sumthing so bad that it was

  • @KawasakiRider91

    Bad movie GREAT 3D!

  • @KawasakiRider91 It wasn't bad at all, it was awesome.

  • @live62805

I admit it IS one of my favorite 3D 80s movies, but that's not saying much. Have you SEEN the other 3D 80s movies? They're all pretty bad. Some GREAT "in your face" 3D though! Think Friday the 13th, Metalstorm, Amityville etc.

  • fantastic thanks...the arm floated out and touched my bald head

  • @actornewbs

    Did it feel weird?

  • I tried viewing with several different types of 3-d glasses. Definitely didn't get the effect of 3-D.

  • @zume2600

Make sure you're using the type of glasses you select from the dropdown menu. If you're using other types of glasses, it won't work.

  • The 3D is actually better than when I saw it in the theater.

  • @matoman5

That's great! Back in the 80s they used 2 projectors to get the left and right eye on the screen simultaneously. If the projectors happened to be misaligned, it would have looked TERRIBLE! That's probably what happened for you. Glad you like the video!

  • I'd love to get a copy of this on DVD in 3 D, but not the cross eyed version. lol It works to get the idea, but I don't want to mess up my eyes more than they are already. lol

  • @OperativeD

    No problem.

The actual DVD is not crosseyed- you'd probably go blind after watching a whole movie that way! I've got an anaglyph version (red/blue) and a field sequential version (for use with shutter glasses) If you're interested, just contact me. I've got 3 left. Thanks!

  • @underground3dmovies I'm interested, but I don't have any glasses. Any places you recommend I look for em? Also is the anaglyph version like the full color option on here or more like the B&W one?

  • @OperativeD

Sure! I sell glasses. I'd be happy to include a couple of cardboard ones free with the DVD! Anaglyph uses red and blue to separate the channels. There is some color, but it's not full color- a lot of it gets filtered out with the lenses. Field sequential is the best way to watch it, but it costs about $39 for a basic system and you need an old CRT TV to view it.

  • @underground3dmovies Cool feel free to send me a message about pricing for the anaglyph version. At least two pairs of the glasses would be cool also.

  • @OperativeD will do!

  • AWESOME!! thanks so much for uploading....I'm using my hannah montana 3D glasses lol the arm was really cool

  • great job, where is this from, im dying to see the feature like this

  • @MrWackismzX3

I'll be happy to get you a copy. Just write me a private message and we can work out the details.

  • Not working for me and I have 5 different kinds of glasses.

  • @Clay3613

That's a lot of glasses! What kinds are they? You will need to choose from the drop down menu below the video for whatever type of glasses you have. Let me know if you have further questions. I'm happy to help!

  • They are left and right eyes. Cross your eyes and watch them together. That's how you get the 3D. Enjoy! :)

  • I love Jaws 3 in 3-D. It loses it's point without it. Universal were idiots to not release it the way it was made!

  • You're absolutely right! 3D IS the point of this movie! :)

  • Bummer.

I imagine the "crosseyed" method doesn't work for you then either. Talk about a headache! :)

  • Damnit! the 3d glasses I took from the imax theater totally don't work for this!

  • Not to worry- there are lots of other viewing options. Crosseyed works great if you can cross your eyes. If you want to be hardcore, buy a Zalman 3D monitor- then the Real D glasses will work :) Otherwise, stick to crosseyed or anaglyph (some red/blue glasses will do the trick) The dropdown menu is below the video. Enjoy!

  • Everyone says Jaws 3 and 4 suck. Why? They may not be as good as Jaws and Jaws 2 but they are still good!

  • @younggunsfan

I LOVE Jaws 3D, but it is certainly worse than the first 2. People don't like it because they haven't seen it in 3D as it was intended! It may be just a gimmick, but the creators made GREAT use of it!

  • Wow...I put this on Full screen and used my "Nightmare on Elm street" 3-D glasses. Works very nice :) Anyone know if this will be released on Blu-Ray anytime in the near future?

  • Wow...I put this on Full screen and used my "Nightmare on Elm street" 3-D glasses. Works very nice :) Anyone know if this will be released on Blu-Ray anytime in the near future?

  • Why would they sit and watch a slow moving great white shark comming towards them and not run at all? they had enough time to leave the controll room! LOL

  • I know it was the 80s........but this MUST have looked shit then too

  • Excellent!!! Let me go back in time and get my 3D glasses LOL

  • omg that was awesome but if i do this too many times i am gonna go cross eyed permanently very awesome way to watch it though 5/5

  • Ha! Don't believe everything your mother told you! :)

  • You are awesome and i love your videos. ALL of them.

  • hehe...holy shit I finally got the cross-eyed effect...pretty cool

  • you forgot the last one where the shark dies

  • shhh!!! Don't spoil the ending! :)

  • @underground3dmovies

AH...jaws 3D...I HAD THE TRADING CARDS IN BLUE/RED....metalstorm too

  • NICE!

  • @underground3dmovies why even bother, everyone knows that the jaws film series ends with the shark dieing

  • Are you kidding me? You completely ruined the ending! :)

  • @underground3dmovies hey at least I didn't say that the creature died from a grenade that it's last victim was holding......Whoops LOL

  • do you know any software for mac to split the screens so that I can make them in 3D?

  • I don't, but I'm not a mac user. It's funny to me that 3D seems to be the future, but mac doesn't seem to have the edge on this one! Don't get me wrong, I've used macs and loved them, but this is an area that they are certainly behind. Sorry I can't help more.

  • I might order from your site soon. Do we need to know where you live because we will most likely order with check? thanks. And by the way awesome vid!

  • Please write directly for an address.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like the video!

  • can you post creature from the black lagoon clips? please. thanks

  • Probably in about 10 years... when things settle down a bit.

Seriously though, I'm working on a brand new version of it... I'll post when it's done.

  • nice

  • This dramatically improves the film. lol.

    Great job, thanks for posting!

  • You're welcome. I agree... this story needed...um.... a little more "depth"

  • pretty cool man. Thanks for putting this up

  • which is the best for those colourless dark ones you get out the cinema?

  • The polarized glasses that you get in the cinema will not work with the home version of the movie. You need either shutter glasses or red/cyan glasses. There are some monitors that let you use the real d (polarized) glasses, but you need special software to watch this way. Let me know if you have more questions. I'm happy to help

  • @underground3dmovies

Actually, monitors such as the Zalman Trimon monitor -- which uses horizontal interleaving with circular polarization -- CAN be used to view YouTube 3D videos, because YouTube 3D now supports row interleaving.

I have the Trimon monitor and can do just that.

Unfortunately, though, YouTube still has NOT added full-screen support for row interleaving. That is ridiculous -- EVERY SINGLE ONE of the other modes allows it. Let's all demand that YouTube fixes that.

  • Exactly!

I actually use the Zalman monitor you speak of. I use REAL D glasses from the theater on occasion to view it. In general though, these glasses can't be used at home (without a special monitor which most people don't have) I agree though that it's GREAT that youtube is doing interlaced now since you and I can watch with polarized glasses! But YES! It SHOULD be full screen!

  • @underground3dmovies

Another thing that YouTube should do is make it so that with the interleaved modes, it halves BOTH the horizontal AND the vertical resolution BUT uses pixel averaging to resample to the lower resolution.

That method -- which I call anti-aliased square-pixel interleaving -- is preferred because by making the pixels square and uniform, it prevents the interleaving from creating visual artifacts.

  • Wow! I learn something new every day!

  • @underground3dmovies

The anaglyph ones correct? There's a few sites you can buy the converter. I always thought that was the best 3d.

  • I just mastered the cross eyed way, but I only dare hold it that way for about 5 seconds.

  • Ha! That's funny!

Contrary to what your mother told you, your eyes won't stay that way. Don't worry :)

  • Ok, warn me if you have the French soundtrack, I 'm very very interested!

  • Incredible !

I am interested in the anaglyph version but I would like to know if there is an audio in French.

I also look for the other films anaglyph with a French sound

    many thanks.

  • I don't think I have a French soundtrack on this movie, but I'll check. I'm pretty sure I have Spanish and English only.

  • yes and yes

  • wow! This is pretty good. I love this moviwe, and I want to see it in 3-D really bad. too bad they don't make it in 3-D. How did you do these 3-D effects?

  • Hi.

Actually, this movie is available in a variety of 3D formats. There is an official Sensio release (side by side) that requires a computer and software to decode. A simpler version is field sequential which requires a sync box for your TV and glasses (around $40.00 and up) There is also an anaglyph version available (red/blue glasses) I did not create the 3D effects. It was filmed in 3D. I'd love to take credit for it, but it could not look THIS good from post production alone...

  • I really wanna buy this copy.I only have the VHD version but this is much better!

  • LoL now that's what I call the greatest wildest absolute cheezyest over the top 3D horror movie ever.

The effects are so strong, no wonder the audience complained about headaches, every time an object should fly just a little bit ahead, it pops completely out of the screen right on your nose.

  • Wow... I can see why people think the effects are horrible in this film... they lose ALL effect without the 3D! Thanks for uploading this!! After having seen this film a few times over the years, I can say that the scenes are WAY more effective with the 3D effect back in. I wish universal would release this film properly.

  • I agree. The 3D on this film is amazing! The storyline... well....

  • The kewl thing is the cross-eyed way works rather well.

I bought My Bloody Valentine 3D not too long ago (I know, the movie sucks ass, but the 3D effects are pretty sweet). So watching this with the green/magenta glasses is awesome (and a li'l less straining on the eyes compared to the cross-eyed way lol)

  • Agreed! MBV has some nice 3D!

Green/magenta is not too bad for anaglyph. The youtube player now has an interlaced option which is GREAT, but requires shutter glasses. This is by far the best 3D option though (on youtube)

  • I bet the audience got soaken wet like the people in france watched a first fake 3-D film "train at la ciotat" 1895 were afraid the train would crash through the screen.

  • Both!

You need to cross your eyes. You'll see the same image twice (one from the right and one from the left) and as you control your eyes and cross them they will come together. Align them vertically (by tilting your head left or right) and continue to cross your eyes until you see only one image (left and right on top of one another) You will then see it in 3D. If you have a hard time with it, there are other methods you can select below the video that require colored glasses. Enjoy!

  • now in the cross-eyed mode which side should I look at, left or right?

  • Hi!

I agree! Jaws 3D is a lot of fun!

I have Captain EO, but only in 2D and "converted 3D" Since I don't sell converted 3D movies, I don't have it on my site, but feel free to contact me if you're interested in either version. Thanks!

  • JAWS 3-D is freaking awesome, speaking of 3-D movies do you have "Captain EO", that could be an in memory of michael jackson clip?

  • oh god awesome man, do i need to have 3-D glasses to see this clips in 3-D

  • Nope.

If you choose cross-eyed mode, just cross your eyes and align the images. Takes some practice, but you'll get it. If you choose glasses mode, red/blue (anaglyph) are the most common and easy to find, but green/magenta are the ones that come with Coraline, Journey to the Center of the Earth and My Bloody Valentine. Go with whatever is easiest. Enjoy!

  • This is cool, I'm glad YouTube is doing this. I love how you can choose the 3d viewing options. Bad Movie though ;( I like the fish head though.

  • great movie, Jaws 3D is the movie where my 3D moviemadness started with.

It's great that I found your shop and able to buy so many movies from you.

This a movie of great quality, sound and picture.

    greetings from Holland

  • very cool i bouth a j3d dvd from ur site
