What a magnificent contrast to the trend towards the commercialization of 8000m peaks where the un-qualified with deep pockets can hitch themselves to work horse guides and Sherpas of great skill and get a shot at a great summit. It is magnificent to see a man like T. Whitaker and his TEAM of true believers get their shot and for them the bonus is that Tom and company will enjoy the glow of true accomplishment that the less committed will never know! my hat is off!

I admire the hell out of people that work through hardships and somehow still manage to catch their dreams. I'll never make it to Everest I'm just an over the hill 50+ year old rock climber that has decided in part because of this film to get off my dead ass and back as into the game as hard as possible. I just ordered two new 10.2mm ropes and enough 5mm Kevlar to restring every piece of gear I own. Because of Tom Whittaker I'm finally re-motivated. Thanks Tom.
