  • Wow ik ben gek van western! Maar ik rij het zelf niet!

  • Western Pleasure or Western Torture ? western pleasure not better than dressage and reining...see "Reichert Celebration" on youtube !

  • this it amazing, i've always loved the western side of america, i love rodeos and stuff and being a ranch girl, but i live in sweden, so one day im gonna move to america and follow my dreams.

  • THIS is what a Western Pleasure horse should look like. True gaits. Not too slow, perfect speed. No stupid limping movements. I love it.

  • wow amazing youre horse moves realy nice and its pretty :D good job

  • Wow thats amazing, and beautiful *.*

  • Wauw! i'm surpriced!

    Amazing!

  • *.*

  • Very good riding:) I am considering and go from english to western riding because I think it looks more artistic look with western ....

  • He has such a lovely tail for an App :)

  • He has such a lovely tail for and App :)

  • No offence like but that horse looks sooo sad and depressed!! I don't see how anybody could look at that horse and find it "inspiring"! I feel sorry for horses that are trained like this they have no life!!!!

  • @EPRFowler My guess is that this horse probably has a pretty cushy life. I don't see a horse that is "sad and depressed", I see one that is free and easy-moving, and is FOCUSING on what it's doing.

  • Not to mention, if this horse hated what it was doing it wouldn't be doing such a nice job at it.

  • FINALLY! I finally found a WP video where the horse does not look dead lame at the lope!

You made my day and your horse is fabulous =D

  • His legs are like sticks he dose not look that good he would never beat a pleasure horse. But he has rock soiled led changes..... ;)

  • Wow!

Can I use the Clip in my Videos, Please? :)

  • Aww, I am going to watch this any time I am feeling down about my horses progress... it is SOOO inspiring!

  • Oooo, I love this horse's movement! I normally hate how Western Pleasure horses move (I think this is WP) but this one is amazing!

  • i love how natural and easy this is made to look! fantastic! :D

  • cool c'est tropb

  • it looks great.I'm just learning about western pleasure and i still cant get used to how the horse looks like its lame when loping.

  • look,it is very passible.

i did western riding before i took up dressage instead.

me and my horse(who is called teir'na noeig, irish name)

im irish and i have done alot better western riding.

i have done better just playing with my friends on hte western plains.

  • I apologize beforehand for my very bad English. After years of classic riding ; I've just began to ride western. I like the horse 's attitude, the delicacy of the helps is incredible. The changes of foot are fluid and defenseless on behalf of the horse

I wish you good continuation and I hope to arrive at this level one day =)

  • Respect!!

  • lead changes= unbelievable

  • @HorsieRider125 I agree the lead changes are like crazy good lol..do you ride western?? because I ride english and I dont know anything about western. but Im going to start taking western lessons just for fun you know? but I need some advise on like what to buy and stuff. so if you know you think you can help me out?

  • @livelaughlove79318 yea defiantly! Ok so first u need a western saddle pad, and a western saddle (der) So i have looked online for western saddles and there r sum pretty good deals! beware: western saddles r usually WAY heavier than english ones! if u r concerned about the weight u might try the wintec saddle, aka synthetic saddle. those go for like 500, not bad! Also wat breed do u have?? Also u need to buy a new bridle a western one. if u go to most saddle shops they will help u in that.

  • @HorsieRider125 haha thanks(: I will def. look into to wintec saddles I have a wintec dressage and I really like it. Second, I have a TB/hanovarian cross that could not do barrels to save his life, so im going to be using my new trainer horse who already has a western bridle. am i supposed to where jeans and like cowgirl boots to my lesson? or breeches, paddock boots, and chaps? and what about helmets? I dont wan't to look like an idiot trying to fit at a new barn..lol. thanks(:

  • @livelaughlove79318 ur welcome! ok so u breeches work fine but jeans r the traditional wear. pretty much all english wear works just as well but it depends on how u want to look. I usually wear jeans, western boots and an english helmet, since it is a jumping helmet and therefore gives me better protection, b/c of the horse I ride. So there r trail riding helmets that would look and fit in better than my jumping one with a western outfit. But, again if u wore all english wear riding western,

  • @HorsieRider125 So a GPA helmet would be ok? Im kinda tight on cash so I dont want to go buy another 500 dollar helmet lol. and jeans look better with western, I have a pair of western boots..but idk if they are for riding or not, how can I tell? I think your comment got cut off or something..not sure though. and thanks for all the advise(:

  • @livelaughlove79318 yea i understand haha! ok so first u can tell by just seein how hard the top of the foot part iz (lol i dunno if that makes sense) and if the heels is supa big or supa small it is prob not a western boot. or u can go online and see the measurements and looks of real riding boots if u r not sure. yea thats fine! although traditional western wear doesn't have helmets but i wouldn't not wear a helmet

  • @HorsieRider125 yeahh, I used to think just hacking would be fine without a helmet..the first freaking time I rode without a helmet at the TROT..my horse spooked at pigeons and I fell..next think I remember is being at the hospital..I got a concussion..I mean it was the first time I wasnt wearing a helmet lols. and thanks for all the advise(: do you barrel race? I was looking at your vids and they all looked like western pleasure.

  • @livelaughlove79318 wow haha i have never ridden without a helmet, my parents won't let me. I have been working on her in-hand gallop and turns, but she is trained in western pleasure so it is pretty much both. She is prob the laziest horse ever so it is super difficult to get her in-hand gallop!

  • @HorsieRider125 hahaha nice. lol, yeah my parents wernt thrilled when they found me laying in the arena with no helmet lol. and yeah I leased a horse like that a while ago..she failed at jumpers. her gallop like matched another horses trot lol. and btw in some of your vids the background of the mountains is like gorgeous!

  • @livelaughlove79318 haha! aww! I wish that prima knew how to jump.. hey also is it ok/safe to have her lope over a ground pole, w/ english tack? yea garrod farms has really nice weather and scenery. I go to a lot of barns and there is none quite like garrod! there is so much wildlife and super nice trails. i LOVE garrod hehe

  • @HorsieRider125 yeah im sure it will be fine lol, she will probably just lope over it like its nothing...I would suggest possibly cantering her over the pole though, just because you want to do it in english tack, because if you ever want to jump with her you want her to be used to cantering over poles. and if you dont feel comfortable getting on right away and doing it, tack her up and before you get on just lunge her over the pole a few times in each direction to get her used to it(:

  • @livelaughlove79318 ok so will it b fine if the pole will b there the whole time, with like post trotting and 2 pointing at the trot and stuff? also do u know how to make homemade jumps? i need them to kinda b like cavalettis just not too high

  • umm can sum1 send me a copy of what i said in my comment, because i cant for the life of me remember what the hell i said. 20 is too young for alzheimers....

  • Love it!!

  • Favoloso!! *_*

  • i'm not trying to be rude, but did the horse at the end try and nip at the judge? :p ahaha. anyway, beautiful horse!

  • Beautiful lead changes and I love the skill of both horse and rider!!!

  • what's the name of this song?

    Sombody knows that??

  • oh my. totally badass. can't watch this one enough.

  • what is the song ???

  • @jtmhoney96 My wish by Rascal Flatts (:

  • @breyercowgirl64 ... no xD but i'm about to teach my horse (don't know what galloppwechsel is in english maybe:) changing the lope ... it's really hard work, because his exterior is bad for doing so... his "back legs" (i know it's the wrong word, but what the hell is "hinterhand" in english?!) is about 5-8 cm higher than his OMG "wiederrist" (highest point over the shoulder?!) ..

man, how difficult to talk about horses in english ^^

  • thats one of the best broke hoses i have ever seen

  • wow amazing! and I love at the end when she is getting her award and the judge walks in front of the horse and hes like "come 'ear I just want a little nibble"

  • @horsygurl101 yeah that was pretty funny!

  • Man, perfect pattern. Congrats!

  • you know, as perfect as this horse looks, if you read the rule book description for western riding in AQHA it refers to a ranch horse. I seriously doubt any ranch would welcome this horse. And why does she not look back when she backs..... Great show horse ride but don't call it ranchhorse riding......

  • omg this looks so easy! =)

  • @kamikazezwerg r u a english rider?

  • This is an awesome video. This is the perfect example for how a good western horse should move and travel. He is controlled and slow but still has enough impulsion to look natural. I wish every western pleasure judge in the world would look at this horse and make this type of movement the standard. Gorgeous.

  • i would love to do western riding but my stables doesnt do it!!! i ride english right now, its probably not as good as western but i still like it

  • this horse is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Appy's r my favorite breed...i want a horse soooo badly

  • I don't know anything about riding horses yet, so whatever the difference between English/Western style of riding is then I'm bound to find out with the power of google in about 2 seconds....

    Youtubers will argue over ANYTHING.

  • 2:45 The inpassable tried to nip the guy hahaha!!

  • Adorable Horse. And your a awesome rider !

  • Western riding I find really great! My horse is now 3. But he does it very well.

  • I hate show jumpin, dressage and all "english ridning" but western, Love it! though my horse & I don't know anything. But she's quite good at neck-rein and barrel racing :D

  • @Foreveranarnia why do you hate all english riding?

  • this is an amazing pattern.

this horse has an unbelievable lead change and lope, he doesnt look like the fake pleasure horses out there.

  • love the horse he did a great job but im worried about his hind legs they dont move they look stiff might want to check them out

    awesome horse though

  • I think you have out done yourself here and soooo lovely to see you doing the pattern in a forward moving manner ,Oh and there is nothing wrong with you seat!

He wouldnt do such a stunning Job if you couldnt ride him correctley .

    Well done !!

  • I absolutely love this horse! it's so beautiful!

the song also makes it magical!

what's the name of the song??

    /michelle

  • @Christianrider93 What the hell is your problem? "can you lope and stay in the saddle"? Don't be putting this person down. I don't think you under stand how hard it is to do a pattern like that. Western ridding is hard. I freaken HATE englishy dressage people!!!!

  • @TattieAddiiction

You might want to Watch who you pick your fights with

  • @Christianrider93 yes because i am sooo scared of you!!!

  • @TattieAddiiction GOOD YOU SHOULD BE

  • @Christianrider93 thats called sarcasm

  • @TattieAddiiction what is so wrong with dressage? many trainers in the western pleasure industry use dressage to better their horses. dressage is the basics of all riding.

  • @Christianrider93 I do all-around witch mean i ride hunter under saddle and wesstern pleasure. You have never riddin an actual Western pleasure trained horse. If you think you have then you wouldn't be putting it down. Western pleasure is a million times harder than english! i ride both!! i would know!!!

  • Comment removed

  • yes i agree

  • @TattieAddiiction english riding contains many sports in the category. i doubt you have become a great rider in all of them and in western to be able to know which is harder. all english sports are difficult, the most perhaps being dressage. and i think if anyone knows anything about dressage, they would know thats the most demanding of the horse and rider. western and hunter/jumper people all use dressage basics to train their horses.

  • awesome lead changes, effortless!!! appys have great personalities.....they only become stubborn when they are bored.

  • Haha I love how the horse tried to nip the judge at the end..lol

  • Wow! I can see why she won!

  • so soll es sein topp keine rollkur wie man es leider öfter sieht ...super geritten

  • i absolutly love appaoloosas i have one and he is amzing he does anything i ask him to...

  • ahhh the horse is that is too smart!

  • wow. I always wanted to ride a horse.

  • Yes lovely to look at, kudos to whoever owns one and trains them. Id never want to own such a stubborn breed.

  • Appaloosa's are not excactly stubborn it's just that they KNOW they're always right and the rider is wrong...LOL However it sure comes in handy on trails when the rider puts the horse in a sink hole. Or the pet steer escapes and you have to get him back in his stall, or well I could go on..HAHA Don't forget that Appaloosa's are opinionanted and bossy as well as stubborn but we wouldn't have it any other way:)

  • beautiful..... i wouldn't really say that bout western plesure because u dont do the retard canter not that i dont like western plesure its just that it looks unnatural

  • beautifull horse!!!!!!!!!!!!! cute lil nip XD

  • is he a pinto?! i drive and ride pintos western and a lil english, but did he try to bite the judge?!

  • I love how your horse has a noticable difference in gait. Most western pleasure horses you can hardly tell the walk from a trot Very Well Ridden (: and did he try to bite the judge? lol

  • Beautiful lead changes! Go AZ! lol

  • Can't stand appys they are bull headed pigs. But you did a lovely job.

  • @IStartWithGlowPlugs they are bull headed but jut look at em

  • well, i don`t really like appaloosa. but this was a really good ride.looks great.....and bye the way...this is not boring. It`s hard training for such a good handling horse.

  • I ride western. But I just think that's plain boring.

  • how is this boring? this is art...

  • What an amazing and beautiful stallion. Appaloosas are not only beautiful but very intelligent, this stallion makes the hard work and training put into him show!

  • To the comment below me...I can see how you'd think a dog show could be more entertaining if you don't ride horses. If you don't ride horses than you wouldn't understand how much practice and training goes into these horses and riders. It looks simple to the non-horsey eye but it's actually really technical and it probably took this rider their whole life just to be IN this show.

  • That's it? Damn, a dogs show is more entertaining lol

  • @luigidesigns thats a very ignorant comment. if only you knew... :P

  • 2:45 the horse tried to bite the judge xD

  • now people like you make my mule look really bad, are you the trainer

  • great horsemanship!

  • that would have to have been one of the nicest, cleanest west. riding patterns i have ever seen. well done!! everyone fighting over wheter english or western is better needs to wake up and listen to themselves. we ride horses because we love and enjoy it, and those that say one is better than the other are too scared to stand up and actually try what they are bagging. stop being so closed minded and admire a job well done, whatever the dicipline may be.

  • O.o

What a pattern to have to remember! I know I would have messed that one up lol. That was awesome. They made it look so smooth and easy!

  • at 2:45 did he try to bite the judge? lol

  • nope, he was looking for a treat! I bet he got one at the stall! My mare used to be that way too.

  • this is really a great horse !!! and a great rider ;)

  • Wow. Western Pleasure is beautiful. That was flawless. Im still trying to get my quarter horse to do that. I ride western and english.

  • oh my gosh how beauitful!

im always wanted to own a app

  • were is this

  • i like that your horse is actually moving forward in his gaits and his head is in the correct position. im glad that circuit training is getting better and horses cand move like they are supposed to. wonderful work, you deserved the title definetly. :-D

  • i agree completely! :D plus he makes it look easy too!! xD

  • wow look at those effortless changes! great job

  • you are obviously absolutely clueless. this horse is incredible. you have no idea how hard it is to teach one to do the western riding, even harder to make one that good. and you have no idea how much strength and coordination it takes for a horse to do a lead change that smooth and clean and make it look effortless. so take your fast fun and furious and shove it up your ass.

  • it's western pleasure, not rodeo! I do both and love both, but the training and work involved to be able to complete a pattern like this definitely deserves proper recognition. It IS western riding!

  • i show 4-h western and english. i think this kind of western i so beautiful.

  • elk96 >> wow what the hell? do u even ride western or something?

  • seriosuly? thats called western gaming, this is called western PLEASURE! its suppose to look like that horse is a pleasure to ride, and its not like it's easy!

  • you horse is very good. =)

  • I have been riding horses for 15 years, and i although i prefer western riding, i also love english riding and have respect for english riders. For you english riders, dont knock western riding till you try it and to you western riders, dont knock english riding till you try it. Both are great!

  • @allshallbelosttoyou the way you refer to western riding in this comment you seem to be talking about the discipline not the class. This video is a class called western riding which is performed in western style........just seems odd to comment on the discipline under a video showing the class with the same name??

  • @allshallbelosttoyou I totally agree. I started out riding western then switched to english to jump but I still respect western even if I don't ride it. I prefer english but they both are good sports

  • @allshallbelosttoyou Totally agree with you!!!

  • she is really good

  • huh? why would it be lame? do you know anything?

  • western riding is for cool people. That girl good

  • very pretty app. i have 3 yr old appaloosa stud and most ppl said that by 3 he would be crazy bcuz hes a stud but u couldnt ask for a beter natured horse he does any and every thing i ask him 2 and i do barrels and poles and he is very high spirited when were doing that he gets a great time and when i want to just trail he does that 2 and hes already breed and hes still my buddy soo ppl dont know an appaloosa as well as they think they do

  • I ride primarily English (although I've done a fair amount of Western as well in the past...). While I love my English saddle, the responsiveness of a finished western horse on a loose rein is incredible. Good western horsemanship gives the horse a lot of responsibility for performing...the rider obviously has to be spot-on too. I would love to see some English riders I know drop their reins and show changes of speed and lead changes within the canter on a draped rein! lol That's control!

  • omg that is a BEAUTIFUL! Appalooa! iM JELOUS! lol

  • I wish we could all just get along. English and Western riding are very different but both are very diffacult. I have been riding and training english and western for around 8 years and I am only 13. I started riding english when I was 5 and have been training both for around 3-4 years. I love both the same and have ridden every disipline there is. Some I did really bad at. My best are barrel and jumping. But I do good in most. Both are beautiful none the less.

  • wonderful apaloosa

  • nice horse i wish i had a chance to win like u did but i mite someday what buatiful horse

  • OMG....some of the comments I've read here are ridiculous. Congrats to this team on a beautiful ride! I showed hunter/jumper for 12 years and 4 years ago discovered reining. I have come to really appreciate ALL equine breeds and their respective disciplines. Any talented equine athlete/rider should be appreciated, but it's really amazing to ride a really broke horse that can perform like this one....totaly relaxed on no contact. Great ride! Congrats!

  • Personally I think it was a beautiful ride, and people need to be a little less immature and just enjoy the video for the great example of horsemanship that it is. (And YES, I ride both English & Western, and can appreciate the ride).

  • ...I'm an English rider, I don't know these western terms and whatnot. Didn't mean to sound like an asshole.

  • uh, no offense to the rider but ur lope was way to stiff, u might of been nervos or somthing but relax, and when u trottted over the first pole it wasnt very good, but im trying to help, im not trying to b offensive.........and to the ppl that say western is for sissys SHUT UP!!!! ibeen ride western and i dont dislike english or think its stupid i just like western better

  • you shouldn't be saying negative things about a winning pattern at the world show. obviously her pattern was pretty much flawless. she would not have won it if it wasn't, and plus Inpassable is an amazing horse.

  • negitive things?! i wasnt saying negitive things! i was trying to b nice, i said that. Ehmagawd, read ppls comments b4 u make fun of them

  • I wasn't making fun of you or your comment, I was simply saying that you should not be saying anything negitive about a world champion ride, or for that matter, Mary Hogan. She has rode to many world champion titles, and obviously knows what shes doing. I respect her, and I think she deserves it. Her pattern was infact, flawless.

  • good ride! i love western riding! do you also compete in WP and equitation?

  • Hahaha You people are fighting over if western or english is better. How bout you learn to do both and realize were all on the same team because we all love riding and competing. Grow Up.

  • i completely agree, i love this style of riding, i have only ridden western a couple of time, my horse is ridden english style atm, but im going to try and teach him western aswell. hes a very good jumping horse so i want to be able to do both. english for the dressage and jumping, western for the hacks(slide stops, spinning, barrel racing, cutting), and other awesome tricks you can do western.

  • gorgeous flying leads

  • her horse is so pretty. those who say western sux, they can kiss the dock of our horses tail.

  • why would u say that? im sure there are western riders out there better than you so you shouldnt say stuff like. have you even tried riding western?

  • yep it sure is...english is so much harder then western. "NOT"!! i bet no english horse can do that!!! that take years of riding and just plan talent to do that!!!! Lets see you stay on a cutting horse and not fall off! Lets see you get on a barrel horse making times of 14sec. lets see you do reining! lets see you do western pleasure! lets see you do roping! o, wait, i almost forgot...YOU CANT!!!!!!

  • i ride english and western. i take offense to this and btw jumping especially cross country has taken more horses and riders lives than speed events, and dressage can do more long term damage to a horses joints than barrels or poles.

  • @AppaloosaProductions ehh.. idk if it would do more damage to them than barrels or poles.. I mean both horses are well kept and cared for. But i don't think it would cause more damage than barrels/poles.

  • my western horse thats been to the congress and jump 4ft. so you dont know what your talking about!! Barrel racing doesnt break there legs! jumping and cross country is more dangerous!!! there are way more horses to die in that then in speed events!!

  • You don't see horses die in speed events like you do in X-country. I remember Le Samari die in X-country at the last jump, broke his ankle I think. NEVER seen a western horse ever die from showing in an event.

Dressage horses go through all sorts of crap, with all the hyperflexion shit. You don't see barrel racers push their horse's noses into their chests. (BTW I'm not saying all dressage riders do that, but there are enough to be concerned).

There's abuse in every sport, so shut it.

  • @0soosweet why would you ever call going over a pole a jump !? I think theres a lil bit of a difference....

  • nice vid btw.

  • i meant not good enough.

  • hey i have a question. At my stable like almost everyone rides english in lessons exept for some who own horses there and stuff. Im like the only one who rides western in lessons. is that because im good enough to ride english yet or something? ive been riding western for 3 years and i love it but just wondering.

  • no not at all!! did you have a choice of riding western or english?

  • no they kinda just told me when i first started.

  • they probably did that b/c its easier to balance in the western saddle so if you are just starting out they could first see how well u sit, etc.

  • yeah that makes since.

    thanks :)

  • haha no prob=]

  • Haha I love how at the end he tries to bite the judge walking away.

  • The canter looks...stiff and painful. =/

  • I thought the first pole trotted over was very poor. Totally changed his rhythm and stride.

  • Amazing riding and beautiful horse!

  • love your horse!

    Great job!! <3

  • woah!!!! Awesome lead changes!!! WIsh mine could do that!

  • looks so relaxed, its lovely

  • wow, rockin lead changes goin on!
