I don't miss that school. Was there in 1985 to 1988. Proof - From the front -
Lunch room at the left corner. Office near front door at left. Shop on right side near back. gym at the rear [got caught smoking there]. Second was math, english and econmic. Both in room up front. Third floor was sience, biology and history. Had my first first fight [I won] and first girl there.
End up at Southview for Voc-Teck. Then Tennesee Teck.
Just found out a week ago that they tore the place down.
The pictures they show after 1940, were done recently (2005?), well after Lorain stopped using the school. It is mostly abandoned at this point. The streets around it are in an older run down part of town as well. It didn't look that bad in 80s when I attended, when pot holes were actually filed.
Maintenance of Lorain schools went down hill once Lorain's economy started dying around 1980.
In my teenage mind, it seemed to be a well kept, for an 80+ year old building

I never went to school there but I was still really sad to see it go down because I drove by it a lot and knew people who went to school there.
