Stopping the "anchor baby" citizenship giveaway would be a good first start. If the illegal aliens were just given a certificate of live birth like other countries do, they wouldn't be inclined to come over just to give birth and get their foot in the door. That would be a cheap start; then enforce the laws that are already on the books. Why does anyone think new laws would be enforced when the current ones aren't? It might take a while to accomplish, but start shipping them back now.

Shipping them back IS the answer. They broke the law. Try doing the same in Mexico, or any other country for that matter. Enforce the existing laws, penalize empolyers that take advantage of the ceap labor at the expense of citizens. had the government learned a lesson from Reagan's 1986 amnesty and started enforcing the law then. We would not be in this position.
