I deployed there 2x but didn't do a whole lot outside the wire, I was a Supply Sgt, I admire you guys and the MPs I was attached to being able to do missions every day, think I would have gone insane. All the wonderful lives that were lost just so that hellhole can turn into an even worse situation once we're totally gone. @MetalMachine346 That was a OH-58 Kiowa Warrior. Its a dual purpose smaller chopper. (Mainly recon.) It has missles and a 50 cal heavy gun on it. Plus night vision. Its just not as armored or as glorified as the Apache. The missles you hear firing are from the kiowa. Hoped that helped.

@colbyjoe12 its called a rhino, it admits a heat signature. It is designed to disrupt any laser beams that would trigger of any IED's. Essentially it detonates the bomb up 8 to 10 ft if front of the hmmwv instead of underneath or on the side of the vehicle. Basically its what happen in this video before the recording began.

@colbyjoe12 It's an IED jammer and it does alot more then stopping laser beams. Many IED's are remotely put to detonation like with a mobile phone. So it's also stopping radio signals. Some have a radius of 150m, there will not explode a IED within this area. It will not effect the military communication because they use a other frequentie.

Amazing how these guys have all this equipment, all this experise and "God on their side" and they're still trying to conquer a people for nearly 10 years. They don't even know what they're fighting for. They just go out, patrol, shoot up a house or village and return to base...and for what? They can't tell you themselves. Make the world a better place? Fighting for "freedom"? "Helping" the Afghan people? Avenging 9/11 which was perpetrated by Saudis and Egyptians? It's laughable, but tragic.

@relikvija2 Good question but from @11CharlieMikeH's point of view that doesn't matter nor should it really. They were attacked first with an IED and then ambushed. Fair play that all seemed to have got out alive. I'd also lay a sizeable bet that at least some of the guys they were up against here weren't even Iraqis, so your question could be asked of the insurgents too. The reasons for the Iraq invasion were FUBAR but the lads are there now. Great video, thanks for posting!
