  • this lady is a terrorist.. her mouths the weapon of mass hysteria..

  • Politics and religious faith are like vinegar and oil, but these ministers still enjoy tax-exempt status, go figure...

  • LOL! This is most moronic crap, I've ever heard. The left makes faith whatever they want it to be? The right does that all the time.

  • YOU are the liar. ANYONE claiming to be "of christ" is full of it. LIES.

  • I wish I could have found this more helpful. Rather, I found it rather offensive. For instance, Dr.Campolo's post scandal Clinton counsel was deemed ineffective?

  • Capatalism is not christianity.

  • Tony Campolo says Theres nothing wrong with a christian being a republican, but its wrong for a republican to say you have to be a republican to be a christian... i agree

  • I dont think its wrong to be a capatalist but i do think its wrong to support any kind of violence (war, the death penelty, ABORTION) i dont believe in homosexaul marriage or abortion so on that note i can identify with republicans. Whoever they seem to resort to violence more then the dems. whether in the womb out of the womb your still made in the image of god and NO ONE whether Terrorist, serial killer etc... is below being able to be saved. and btw jesus isnt a white rep or a democrat (:

  • @RuggedcrossP On the contrary, when supposed Christians rip out pages of the bible to support their heretical beliefs, those who stand up for the Word, stand up for God. If you want to truly seek the Kingdom of God, it starts by believing the Book He gave us.

  • What happened to "They will know we are christians by our love"? Christianity has nothing to do with the politics of america. If anything christianity supports the poor.

  • @RuggedcrossP Again, God has given us this Country to be a blessing to the world. No other Country in the world can match the amount America gives other nations, especially Africa. Disenfranchise yourself from the political process and you disenfranchise yourself from God's intentions.

  • @weneedmccain I don't think God generally works through governments. Governments can be good and do good things, but they are of the work of man. Governments mainly ours tend to favor the rich where in scripture Jesus favors the poor and suffering. Through scriptures and christian history we see God working through communities and people and only governments use the religion for power. It is like doing a little evil for some good. Although a little evil no matter what the good is still evil.

  • @RuggedcrossP Not government, the politicians. Our founders purposefully limited government, tied their hands to protect our freedoms. The politicians are systematically eroding the Constitution and in so doing our freedoms.

I'm glad our founders who were mostly Christian made a clear separation of government and religion - that's what they fled. The Church had to stand on it's own two feet again, and instead of looking to government, had to look to God.

  • @weneedmccain So you think this video of a politican talking about christians as a voting block is the church standing on its own two feet, and looking to God?

  • @RuggedcrossP if God doesn't work through the government why is it written that the government will be on the shoulders of Jesus? Why are we to pray for our leaders and people in high positions? The government was established to uphold justice. Politically inactive Christians are to blame for the deterioration of the country.

  • @weneedmccain They said that about Rome too. Rome was able to help a lot, but

  • While I have seen many videos on youtube that are ignorant and produce nothing but lies, this one should be in line for first prize in that catagory. If those who put on this video claim to be Christian it is amazing that they have no qualms distorting and defaming outstanding Christian leaders who happen to serve Christ's church with dignity and integrity, qualities completely absent in this video.

  • am i the only one who finds the irony hilarious that republicans are pointing the fingers at the emergent church for having a political agenda?

  • I finally came to understand something. Why do most conservatives tend to be Christian and most liberals tend to be atheistic or secular humanists?

It's because liberals have no real hope. Christians can hope in a God that reigns supreme and above all this earthly mess.

Liberals have to look to something bigger than themselves, and all that's left without God is GOVERNMENT!!! What a sad commentary, to be placing hope in such a depraved, corrupt system.

  • @weneedmccain Our founders were mostly Diests, NOT Christians, It doesn't say "In Jesus We Trust" on our currency!!!

  • The great American fallen away like a switch has been turned on against everything Christian. Since Obama took office, If it says it in the bible all we can do is convert those non believers. Lord help us all.

  • Wow! just simply wow! Beware, the liberals! See people like this lady is a perfect example why Christians are not taken seriously anymore and poor religion is just used as an opiate for the masses. What fear mongering homophobia, and how shamelessly is defended.

  • i think jesus was pretty sure that none of us had it right (putting us in the boat wit the homosexuals) hence why i dont thnk jesus distinguishes between our sin and their sin. In fact jesus would have hung out with homos if he was here. the pastors are not attemting to compromise and twist the word of god. THe are trying to show pple that the gospel isnot about us getting to heaven, its about heaven coming to earth, and if tht is why jesus came then we hav to look at how we live differently

  • you support things that are opposing the kingdom of God eg big business, war. The evangelical right is a faith costume. all you have to do is turn up and pay your tithe and your a christian. These pastors are calling people to fufill what jesus asked them to do, feed the hungy give water to the thirsty, visit the imprisoned and clothe the naked. Maybe you should ask your self why you want to make this message be 'revealed as a lie'

  • Jesus said, if you love me, you will obey my commands. Do you believe the gay lifestyle is acceptable to Jesus?

Do you believe Jesus was lying when he talked about hell? These pastors do.

First and foremost, if you want to be a Christian (Christ-like) it starts by obeying and certainly believing HIS word.

  • if you read matthew 25 you will see that gods commandments are summed up by jesus to feed the poor and so on and so forth. NO i dont think jesus was lying when he was talking about hell, however he did use metaphors alot and jesus didnt come to tell us about hell. the good news is that heaven is coming here. im not splitting the word of god, these guys and the disciples and the apostles and i have seen that redemption starts in genesis 11. so our story looks and sounds a little different.

  • Can you quote a passage from the bible where Jesus himself mentions the gay lifestyle? I'd like to hear it....can't find one, can you?

The old testament references of gays were the thoughts of the society during those ancient times. As for hell, it is simply a separation from heaven. Reality is ....man wrote the bible. Anyone can say that the words were God inspired. I can't believe that now you think God inspired the founding fathers to write the constitution too!

  • I'm not of the LGBT crowd....not that it matters....but I just don't agree with the constant damnation of these people who were also created by God.

  • Who is damning homosexuals? I'm not. Live and let live I say. I don't care what they do or the choices they make, that's entirely up to them.

In fact, Paul said, it is not for us to judge those outside the Church. So I don't.

  • Paul made some very matter of fact references concerning homosexuality. He says they've been given over to their perversions.

Jesus said, Love the lord your God with all your heart and soul - the old testament is still relevent.

Jesus said a man shall leave his mother and father and cling to himself a wife. Jesus said this - this is marriage as approved by Him.

  • the problem with the right is a focus on one tiny part of the gospel, the good news. If you believe the gospel starts in matthew then you obviously havent read the whole bible. God started his redemption in genesis eleven with abraham. also jesus didnt just change to save people to escape to go to heaven, he sent jesus so that heaven could come hear. and thats our job to bring heaven to earth in partnership with god. its ridiculous to think that the evangelical right have got it right.

  • Again, you can't split the word of God. Believe some, ignore the rest.

  • The kingdom of god has been forgotten by most pastors and authors, becuase it means we have to focus on our duty to bring restoration and reconciliation and ultimatley shalom to the earth. These guys havent made it up its what jesus talks about all the time. Unlike the rest of pastors out there who focus on other peoples duty to stop sinning and become a christian otherwise they are going to hell. jesus even said, i have not come to condem the world but to save it.

  • You don't bring restoration by compromising on the word of God.

These pastors are attempting to twist the bible to conform to the world view. They have it backwards.

  • Yea because the Republicans in office have changed so much for Christ in America. The bible is not a political agenda, and before i joined the emerging movement i only knew Christianity as bigoted, hypocritical, and interested in only maintaining a 1950's american agenda instead of following the love and truth of Jesus. This lady needs a reality check and to maybe actually see the good that alot of these leaders are accomplishing

  • Accomplishing goodf is one thing and certainly noble.

Standing up for what the Bible says is another good thing, and certainly noble.

You only knew Christianity as bigoted? MMMmm, that's a bigoted statement in itself!

When someone begins twisting the bible, that's a huge red flag. So where do you stand on homosexuality?

  • Yes I would agree, standing up for what the Bible says is good and noble, and the Bible says to do good.

I wouldn't say it's a bigoted statement, I'm telling you what my experience with many Christians was until I found people who were willing to talk. Which is what the emerging "church" is, its not a denomination founded on one doctrinal statement, its a conversation about what it means to be the church in a post modern world.

  • What made your statement bigoted, is your condemned ALL of Christianity in one swoop. That's a very bigoted statement, even if you don't realize it.

I can appreciate attempts to move the church into the post modern world, but you can't do that and willy nilly removed and/or ignore some very basic foundations of Christianity.

Example: Jesus talked about hell more than anyone else in the bible. Yet many in the Emergent Church refute there being an actual hell.

    So, did Jesus lie?

  • you cant be serious, linda harvey is probably a racist, homophobe, republican, sheltered little girl who is scared and threaten by the idea of change. Reformation in christianity has happed about every 500 years, we are due for the next reformation. These people (im prettey sure the are all pastors except from obama and opera, opera is not an evagelical christian and obama is a baptist. And probably takes a compromised view on most things) love god and people and talk about the Kingdom of God

  • Lol liberals rip out have the bible..... but conservative just forget and make up half the bible....

  • Thank goodness not all people try to force their conservative view of Christianity on everyone like this woman does.

  • I'd like to hear your liberal slant to Christianity. In fact, liberals can't enforce their views without ripping out half of the bible. Isn't that right?

  • Guys i have a question for you all, Have you ever seen GOD? Do you have PROOF or EVIDENCE that GOD exist? If GOD really does exist, and if he is ALL LOVING, ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL, and OMNIPOTENT why does our World still so full of FAMINE, WAR, KILLINGS, RAPE, BAD PEOPLE, TERRORIST, MURDER, and ENDLESS DISASTERS? And do you believe in FAITH not in EVIDENCE? Please do not HATE me, I'm just curious.

  • God's divine nature is seen everyday by what has been created.

God's truth is seen through the hundreds of prophecies that were fulfilled.

I KNOW Him, I have a personal relationship with HIM.

    He answers prayer.

    He still heals.

God is sovereign, and in His sovereignty, he has given earth to man. We've been given dominion over the earth.

Everyday we chose live or death. Good or evil.

  • Now this is just plain sad. America doesn't have a radical liberal left, this is just another cheap attempt to spread more paranoia. If there was a threat to Christianity, the last person you would send to defend it is an intollerant moron like Linda Harvey.

  • America has no progressive left? Are you kidding me? Tell me, is Peter Pan still young in your world?

Did you listen to what these Emergent people are saying?

Obviously you are incapable of telling a sheep from a wolf which really means you're incapable of commenting intelligently on the subject. Your post is my case in point.

  • My definition of "People" isn't loose enough to include liars and bigots like the woman in this video. America's progressive left consists of myself, a few friends, some guy in Congress, Richard Belzer, and that fat guy Moore. You're the one sucking up to the political party that cried "Wolf." Obama's not a radical liberal, he's not a secret Muslim, not a socialist, not a communist, he's barely even a moderate.

  • Perspective is what is called for, obviously, you have a very skewed one.

  • The pot is calling the oregano green.

  • Thanks you Linda Harvey for exposing these Christian apostates.

  • Yes, just we we need, more division in the Church. Can't we just agree that Jesus is Lord and leave it at that? We spend too much time demonizing others who are Christ followers rather than following Christ ourselves. It appears that attacking other Christians is often easier than following the life changing calls of Christ to love others and love God. Listen to James when he says that true religion is to care for the widows and orphans, not engage in disunity like this. Her tongue is a fire.

  • 1 Peter 3:15, Titus 1:9-16, Romans 16:17

We need to defend our faith from attacks against it. You may call it division, but the heresy itself is a greater division for it leads people astray, thus we mark it, and avoid those that teach it. They may call themselves Christian but they deny Christ's truth (Christ is the Word, John 1), which is to deny Christ. We must be ready to defend our faith, it's the responsibility of all Christians, Phil 1:7.

  • You can be tolerant of people's beliefs until you are blue in the face, but every belief out there contradicts with some other belief in some way or another. No matter how relative you may think reality is, eventually all reality must bow down to one single reality for reality is that which at the end of the day still exists. God has made it very clear that His reality is the one that will stand. This reality is defined in the Holy Bible, not people's feelings or personal experiences.

  • Yeah! What we need is more fundamentalism in religion, babeh! Woohoo!

  • "Lets all respect each others beliefs." - When they are sitting on a bus with a bomb strapped to them next to my family because of those beliefs then it's impossible to respect those beliefs.

  • once again i really wish there was a "0 star" option

  • All negativity all the time. Its a disease. People have differing views. I tend to be a middle of the road Christian, but also a Christian who keeps an open mind, and doesn't look at things as black and white. Who cares if a person is an emergent church member? Are they a nice person? Do they treat people with respect? Lets all respect each others beliefs. After all, that's why this great nation was founded.

  • Are you respecting other peoples beliefs look at what you are saying stop and get your heart right.

  • We're not talking about other faiths, we're talking about the Christian faith.

Paul had to defend Christianity, do you think it should be any different today?

I'm fine with peripheral doctrinal beliefs, but she is addressing some hard core serious heretical doctrine.

  • "some hard core serious heretical doctrine" - What is hardcore heretical doctrine? The breakaway from the catholic church was seem of the same, what makes theirs heretical. What special jesus power does one group have over another to say what is right and wrong. Which of the 34,000 different flavours of christianity are you claiming is heretical, all but your own? All but some? Give us a break, please.

  • What does being nice have to do with salvation and the word of God? Are you saved by being nice?

I can tell you're a middle of the road Christian.

  • True, being nice has nothing to do with salvation....but acts of kindness mean a lot to others on this earth, and that shouldn't be discarded as unimportant. "What you do for the least of my brethren, you also do to me".....ah yes, remember that line from the J man himself?

  • Wow, you think you know bible, but have no context associated with it - classic spiritual ignorance.

Jesus warned us of th Pharisees, the vipers, the walking dead men. He was very astute in His observations and the words He used. You need to keep the bible in CONTEXT dear.

The least are the poor, Christians and churches are FAR more generous than any other group out there today.

Well, liberals are generous when it's taxpayer money, but anal retentive with their own.

  • Listen to yourself. Everytime I come back with a wise "make sense" biblical answer, you dance around it and try to prove it wrong. I have no problem with keeping the bible in context. The way you state it, the least are "only" the poor, so I need not bother doing anything nice for anyone if they are NOT poor......makes no sense either.....a lot of liberal people are generous with their own money and you know it to be true. You want a list?

  • In the world, the poor ARE the considered the least.

Feel free to furnish a list, but from all studies done, conservatives out give liberals like 4 to 1. I could look up the studies.

Biden gave what, 0.3% of his income to charity in 5 years? Oh yeah, liberals are tight wads when it comes to their own money, they are just liberal with everyone elses money.

You can't include the elderly, there are some rich fat cat elderly, with lots of power, lot of connections, nothing least there.

  • "Lets all respect each others beliefs." - No, let's not. Peoples beliefs are not sacred. Stupidity wrapped up in belief is not holy, or protected from critiscm. It deserves no respect and no middle of the road christian is any more sane or insane than any other group. They all believe in a concept that can't be tested or substantiated in any way we would accept in a court of law, so as such no group can cast any kind of judgement on any other if that is the basis of their belief.

  • ..Watch YouTube video:.....Despite Warning Oprah & Friends Encourage Demonic Activity!.............and also YouTube video=............Church Of Oprah #3

  • The New Pharisees strike again. It's amazing to see how evangelical Christians go on their witchhunt yet again, crucifying Christ all over again.

  • campolo said that God was surprised by Hurricane Katrina and agreed with Rabbi Kushner who said that God is not as all-powerful as we once thought...etc...you're being fooled all the way to hell

  • Tares

  • they sure flashed "godless democrats" on the screen quickly.

  • recently I have have done a lot of research lately on the emerging/emergent church. Pantheism, Liberalism, adopting some occultic practices, adopting Pagan practices (Hindu, Buddahist, Wiccan). if you look at Pg 37 of the "Kingdom of the occult" by Walter Martin - it explains these practices. You see Labyrinths, Comtemplative Spirituality, etc - all in this book. We need to read our Bibles - there are many passages that speak to what this video shows.

  • The sad thing is, that many mainline Christian churches have adopted the practices and beliefs of the Emergent Movement. Rick Warren is a leader in all this, with his subtle lies, prepping many to accept the Emergent Movement as Christian.

    Much danger in this movement.

  • Lame!

  • This is ridiculous. I have met Tony Campollo and I found him to be a man of great faith and a massive heart for the poor and the Kingdom.

Yes, Campollo holds liberal political views, but he holds wholly evangelical religious views. He just doesn't believe that a government over a diversely religious nation should hold Christian morals to the point of exclusion of other people.

  • Sorry, but you didn't listen. The point is that you cannot have liberal political view on killing the unborn and Gay Lesbian issues without contradicting the bible. It is what it is. Read you Bible.

  • Well, I'm in bible college right now and I have read the Bible.

I have yet to read anything which would suggest that it is God's will that we should enforce Christian morality upon people who don't want it. I DO think that the Bible supports the idea that we should go out and to conform people's hearts and minds to that of Jesus'. By doing this we establish God's Kingdom in people's eternal hearts, rather than in frail, corrupt government.

  • Unfortunately a lot of the speakers she is speaking about are being endorsed by a lot of major Christian Colleges.

  • After Bush was re-elected in 2006, Hillary Clinton specifically said that democrats need to learn to speak the Chrisitan language. And so they have...after torturing it to say what they believe in spite of biblical teaching. The most pernicious lie starts with a kernal of truth.

  • Revelation 17

  • You may be correct.

  • Things I do find bad by churches is not letting people live the way they want. example Homosexuals, if they want to come to church so what, It's between them and God. Maybe they will learn.

An Adulterous marriage is not your business, let them and God sort it out. again maybe they will learn.

It don't mean you have to associate with them.

As my mom said " I love you but sometimes I don't like you." same goes for that God in the Bible in my view.

  • All churches allow anyone to come in. But they do make proper judgments before two people get married.

Most churches will sometimes turn down a man and woman who have been living together simply because of unrepented sin. That's their right.

But all churches should embrace all people. Jesus did.

  • I agree totally.

The people usually go to another church that accepts them, they think they are fooling God I guess. As all the other issues in the video.

  • Jesus embraced them when He went out to reach out to them with Truth. When He was gathered with His Disciples, you don't see just anyone coming in. Even when the Church was started through the Apostles, this was addressed repeatedly about allowing sinful behavior to be present.

  • Comment removed

  • What Bible are you reading to see God approving that kind of harmony. He loves all people, but hates sin. So how can people accept those who intentionally still choose to live in sin come into their fellowship. Check out Hebrews 10!!!

  • I'm an outsider to the church and I can see the changes in most of them. catering to anybody that they can use to get parishioners. That includes accepting homosexuals and gay marriage, Female preachers, and what was a baby killer doctor doing in church well that's his business and his Gods, other things also.

It's not mans right in the bible to change anything, why is churches becoming a circus to get someone to come in .

I see people all the time trying to make this acceptable by spin.

  • What does end time prophecy predict??? A Famine of God's Word, and people surrounding themselves with those who will scratch their itching ears for what makes them comfortable. It will be nice when we get home, and God's word than will mean what it means. It won't be open for discussion, or how do I feel about it, or what does that mean to me.

  • Thank you!! This is dead on. Wallis et al believe government is the savior for all. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, serving the poor and addicted is NOT the job of government it is the mandate of the Church.

  • Conservatism = Intolerance + Arrogance

There's a quantitative statement for you.

The Emergent Church has every right to emerge. Criticize it all that you want, that's your right, but it's their right to carry on, and I support them.

Have you ever stopped to realize that it's emerging BECAUSE of your religious hypocrisy? Oh, that's right, I almost forgot that evangelists like Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Bakker (there's more, but just to name two) are "spot on" honest moralists!

  • A Christian, non-Christian POTUS? Well, Obama is Muslim, duh. That dude that wrote the book that claimed Heaven and Hell are fake, is a total nut. Just like the rest of the Democratic Party, another duh.

  • Heaven and hell are a state of mind and spirit....only the uneducated tend to take biblical writings literally.

Proof that you are uneducated is your statement in regards to Obama being a Muslim.

The democratic party is in control of this country for the next 8 years, and most likely for the next 8 years after that, so you better get used to things being run the way they should be run, and not the way they shouldn't.

  • According to who LiladyK? You? who are you? Jesus clearly told us what heaven and hell are, and He rose from the grave to prove himself.

When you rise from the grave, I'll listen to you. In the meantime.

Don't bet on the Democrats being in office for long. We're already running at break neck speed into serious tragedy due to Obama and the Democrats.

  • Wow, so you really must also believe that Obama is a Muslim? McCain man.....who are YOU? Relax, get a grip....drink some tree hugger latte' with me, and join the environmentalist movement that is sweeping America. The Democrats will be in power as long as we need to be. I have no need of tissues, handkerchiefs, crying towls, etc....sorry I can't offer you any.

  • The Episcopal Church has been spouting this nonsense for years.. I call them "The Church where you go to Hell for Eating Oysters With The Salad Fork."

  • Praise The LORD, Thy GOD!

Jesus Christ, is our only LORD & SAVIOR!

    NOT osamabama,

    & his islamo socialistregome.

    SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!

    DEO VINDICE!

  • amen!!!!!!

  • Christian Democrats, LOL .

Any Christian that votes shouldn't be a democrat.

In my opinion to hell they will go.

Hate welcome, it will prove my point.

  • You have already shown hate....now, you have proved MY point

    Conservatism = Intolerance + Arrogance

  • Conservatism = Intolerance + Arrogance

Funny, I'm not a conservative but like a lot of the Ideas. I'm just not a fantasy following Democrat hypocrite going to church. How has you church changed to accommodate today's politics? The church and Gods words don't change, they are eternal and supposedly unchanging. Stop putting a spin in the Bible.

No hate, just the fact of what your book says...

  • Who's hating and where is the spin?

  • Thanks!

  • This is some scary shit....

  • the emergent church is awful

  • Keen video. Thank you for sharing this swell video. It was very groovy.

  • but aren't you folks on the christian right nothing more than mirror opposites of the christian left??!! i mean haven't you folks plainly and simply reduced jesus to a right winged member of the g.o.p. and your prejudices and ignorance became christianitys??!!

  • Nice try at the spin Obamageddon2008 But that shit doesn't work anymore assjockey!! time to write some new material!

  • okay. here it is. look at the situation in iran between the religious fanatics vs the moderates and secularists, if that happened here. if a pat robertson type ever took over with a congress and senate that thought just like him, i think that it would make teheran look like nothing

  • This just shows you ignorance of reality. Not stupidity but ignorance. You obviously have no real knowledge of what is really going on in Iran and what the Bible says.

  • a religious fanatic and theocrat is a religious fanatic and a theocrat

  • Now you're just being silly. You make those comments based on what?

  • the last thing america needs is someone with a religious agenda. whose religion? whose sect? i am very happy with living in a secular constitutional republic that neither supports or opposes religion.

  • What's changed?

  • No. True Christianity is not political at all. Politics is a man made abomination. Us True Believers believe what God actually says and try our best to do what God says to do. Fake Christians are just that,Fake.

  • Good word purplesaxark

  • Politics is a man made abomination....and weneedmccain agrees with this statement.

Therefore weneedmccain's involvement in politics is an abomination towards God.

Again digging himself into a hole......

  • Not at all! We've turned politics into an abomination. But it was God that INSPIRED our founding Fathers to write a set of laws no one has ever written.

It set this country on a course for the greatest prosperity and freedom this world has ever known.

I'm an American, and as such, i am engaged and fight for what I believe is right.

  • n actual Christian does not go along with abortion and homosexuality. Those are wrong and God and common sense say so. You CAN NOT be a Christian and be ok with all this left wing satanic agendas!!!

  • and how much would you salivate, at the prospect of a falwell,or a d james kennedy or a robertson taking over both the govt and the courts

  • I wouldn't salivate at all. I thought Falwell was out to promote himself. He had no business judging Hefner but every right to push for maintaining a level of civil morality.

Now D.James Kennedy would make a good public official.

Robertson, no thank you. He has stated too many way out things to many times.

ALL people need to be represented as Americans and the Constitution needs to apply equally to everyone, including our politicians.

  • Oh, so the constitution needs to apply equally to the LGBT community then?

  • The Constitution should apply to the LGBT community and it does! Don't you think?

  • Yes, I do think the constitution applies to all people....just checking to see if you believe that community is on the same level as you are. I have a question to you about the constitution. If Article 6 states "separation of church and state", then why do the constitution freaks insist that God be put back into our school system? And as a teacher, would I be allowed to respect the prayers of my buddah worshipping students? I teach in a class with a buddah worshipping student.

  • Article 6 of the Constitution does not say "Separation of Church and State" better check your constitution. Where do you get this stuff?

Hey, since they took God out of schools, we've had massive shootings, pregnancies, drugs, gangs, plus education as a whole has sunk America to what, 16th in the world?

You're a teacher? Figures. Then you should know the Constitution - oh I forgot, you don't want the kids today to really know what's in it do you.

  • Article 6 of the United States Constitution

Main article: No religious test clause

Article Six of the United States Constitution provides that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States". Prior to the inclusion of the Bill of Rights, this was the only mention of religious freedom in the Constitution.

  • Bill of Rights

The first amendment to the US Constitution states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

  • You never answered my question about respecting my Buddah worshipping students. Anything other than that would show arrognace and intolerance. Oh that's right, that's what you people do for a living! I am a secondary level science teacher, and I LOVE it. We don't teach the Constitution....only the theory of evolution, remember?? LOL. Regardless... why wouldn't I want my students to know what's in the constitution?

  • I believe ALL religions need to be respected in America, that was the vision of our founders, a part of our liberties as Americans and a very important element in America.

I'm amazed at your slanted and skewed view - no wonder education in America is like 14th world wide. No wonder our kids no nothing of the Constitution.

Truth is, if you studied up, you'll discover all the lies you were taught in college by drug induced hipster duffuses and you sucked up every word.

  • That is NOT the bill of rights you're reciting, it's the CONSTITUTION!!!!

  • Excuse me? Perhaps you should read the first amendment??????

Also, as I originally stated, where in Article 6 is the separation of church and state? It's not there!!!!

The no religious test clause has nothing to do with state/church issues.

Most liberal folks I meet here, once they've read the Constitution FOR REAL, they usually end up adopting a libertarian view and are no longer liberal. Mmmmm

  • You are a perfect example of skewed perspective popular in todays world.

In order for a Christian left to even exist, they have to tear up huge chunks of the bible. So while they may very well be LEFT, I do not think they are Christian.

Lastly, Christians are neither prejudice nor ignorant. In fact, you could say those eyes have been opened,

  • The right wing fringe is left doing all the tearing with their coddling to large corporations...placing greedy profits ahead of what's fair to the people. Funny how they forget how much Jesus spoke to the poor and in benefit of the poor and basically despised the money hoarders (aka the right wing 2010 A.D.). Myself....I have been given the gift of good things monetarily, yet I have not forgotten others who have not been as lucky as I have or have been awarded the same opportunities that I have.

  • And btw, I don't wanna hear the right wing BS line about how people who have gotten nowhere are just lazy.....how anyone can be rich if they just work hard at it. That old song and dance way of thought died with my grandfather. Three Cheers for the "coffee party" of today. Corporations breed corruption. It happens time and time again.....Wall Street be damned by God.

  • Never heard that line. People haven't gotten anywhere because they became dependent upon government. They're still barely keeping their heads above water and continue to vote for those who keep them floating in the water.

Keep looking further, it goes all the way to government - that's the real corruption, they're the ones who corrupted the banks and Wall Street and the schools.

  • The right wing and large corporations? Get a grip!

GE is in bed with Obama, one of the largest corporations in America, although they've been losing lots of money lately.

Not to sound mean, but your view is very skewed. Christians give away more money than liberals 4 to 1.

Which is why Biden had only given 0.03% of his income to charity. Typical liberal, conservative with their own money but liberal with tax money.

  • You can go on forever promoting the GOP lies....but that is not the way Jesus would have you behaving, now is it? Well, is it? You can talk the talk, but you must walk the walk. GE in be with Obama....where did ya hear that one, from Rash Lamebore?

  • The banks and Wall Street are responsible for their OWN decisions and gambling with our money. The government never forced them to make bad decisions. As for the schools? Don't get me started. It's localized government that bares the brunt of what goes on in the schools, not the feds. You are assuming that liberals are not Christian....when tolerance is exactly what Jesus spoke about, and tolerant is not a word that exists in the Conservative Cult Movement, yet is the backbone of liberalism.
