@yummyummy9 Well, I played from an arrangement for trumpet and piano published by (if I remember correctly) Boosey & Hawkes - which I don't have a copy of, as I borrowed it from a trumpeter.
@3HKnives That's very kind. You could download the video and extract the MP3 using online tools such as those available from DVDVideosoft and Realplayer.
Fanfare for the Common Man is one of my favourite pieces of orchestral music. I love the harmonies and they become really clear on the piano.
You say in your commentary that you can't represent the percussion very well, but I think the stabs on the bass notes on the piano give a clear indication of the bass drum in the orchestra. The reverb is similar and the dynamics are excellent.
Love this - I had never heard of Copland until my daughter played one of his compositions on flute - obviously I need to listen to some more - can't really imagine this with trumpet?? But your piano version sounds great.
@0707NicePlayer Thank you for that! I will always play more old music because the copyright situation is so simple. But, as long as I can get the scores, I will do a few contemporary pieces from time to time!
I do really enjoy that! This is an iconic piece from an iconic composer
I like this change of repertory in your channel.
I would go a little bit far, proposing you to play some more adaptions of well-known melodies, even rock music ( don't think i'm rocker, i'm not a rocker at all, but i think that there are very interesting melodies there that could be adapted in classical piano music: you see "Light my fire" Push it" "Smoke on the water" "Smells like teen spirit" ", anyway i'm a huge of fan-
@paopaomanalansan There will be plenty more salon music. For all sorts of reasons, my channel is likely to feature music that is in the public domain (ie, old!).
As usual you have added to my evening's entertainment. I have this recording with full orchestra in my office and when I need to engage in stressfull activities, this is where I turn.
Any possibility of me getting the sheet music for this piece?

@Opuskrokus That's a very fair comment!

Tempered tuning really falls short here. But it shows how well Copland wrote for brass.
