@MrEmmo34 This one is form the album Live in Carré. Recorded a few months before Luke died. He was a very sick man here, but a great balladeer up till the end. He is stil very much missed.
Being a Dead Head, one who follows the Grateful Dead, it wasn't until I became a Dubliner fan that I realized how many of the traditional Irish songs were done by Jerry Garcia. So I have this great fantasy of Jerry and Luke in heaven making the angels blush. Oh yeah, and music to die for.
this version makes me kinda sad when i hear it because you can obviously hear that lukes voice sounds weaker than other recordings and you know he doesnt have much longer to live after this
A showman until the end. Rest easy Luke, you will not be forgotten.

Will miss this man and his beautiful music forever! Still feel sad at his passing all these years later. A loss to the whole world.

What a singer. Pure class version of Whiskey in the jar. Does anyone know what live album this version of Whiskey in the Jar came from?
