People who get worked up about transgendered people ought to get familiar with SE Asian culture. It's not exactly accepted wholeheartedly, but being trans is much more readily acceptable in (say) Thailand or the Philippines or even Muslim Indonesia.
Hey, thanks for the thoughtful response! What you said about being insightful and brave to recognize a trans identity in oneself is especially true. I think we are all primed to reject elements in our personalities that may make us deviate from the perceived social norm - to be trans is to overcome this fear in the extreme. But then you have to deal with projected fear from everyone who hasn't... kind of... I think. And good luck with the flag, you reckon neighbours will fuss about it?
@Tioliah I'm worried about my neighbors. I'm more worried about random acts of vandalism from local dickheads like the ones that kept stealing my Obama signs back during the 08 Presidential run. But fuck it. Like you said in your video, the LGBT community is for everybody and I think little pieces of resistance to intolerance make the world a better and safer place. That's what got my started on youtube in the first place. Just some guy trying to help out.
