  • the pentacostals, we have had our share of corrupt church leaders in our church. for the calvanists, at least they are teachers and not men that go around pretending to be pastors while they cheat on their wives. when Christ returns He will judge the church, as well as the earth. and for all of you calvanist haters out there maybe you should love one another like Jesus commanded us to do. and for sermonindex its good you brought back the comments you should do that for all of the videos.

  • Ravenhill was a great man, now with the Lord. How blessed we are his sermons are still with us

  • Instead of arguering over doctrine how about if all Christians could learn to love one another as Jesus loves us

Every Christian needs also a prayer partner

  • @theawakener7 would you care to give an example? I apologize but I've failed to see what it is you are talking about. Perhaps you might think about repenting of your own prideful and snide attitude and spend more time correcting the supposed "false doctines" you claim Ravenhill teaches?

  • awesome preacher. Thanks for posting it.

  • @ele12957returns Also, how is Calvinism "works-based?" It's the most anti-works based theology in Biblical Christendom... Sounds to me like you embrace fullblown antinomianism. Also, anyone who hates His brother is no Christian, read 1 John. Calling me a "wicked troll" is almost like calling me a fool, and what did Jesus say of those who call their brother a fool? Hopefully God pours out His grace on you enough so that your heart is softened to repentance.

  • @ele12957returns Goodluck siding with the anti-Calvinist crowd here. Many, like Openairpreacher, is a Pelegian who believes that you need to stop sinning entirely to be saved, and fully admits salvation is through works. Others are Arminian Christian's like Ravenhill who, for the most part, get along very well with us Calvinists. Ravenhill was close to Paul Washer, a Calvinist (gasp). At the end of the day, we believe anyone who repents and trusts Christ will be saved.

  • whats his joke at 7:46..the phd. i cant quite make it out.

  • Post hole digger

  • @andybmfc "You can have 32 degrees and still be frozen"

  • . Repentance is to be sorry for your sin, and to turn away from sin and turn to ritiousness.. Jesus said, Go and sin no More! 1 john says if you sin, you are of the devil. If you are of the devil you are not of GOD. If you sin in the spirit, the spirit departs, for the spirit does not dwell in an unclean temple. You are only Children of God when you do not sin. 1John3:10 whoever does not practice ritiousness is not of God. You cannot enter the Kingdom unless you are of GOD. SeeK Truth in Light.

  • Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

    15. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

    16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

  • there is lots of evil inside churches ,,they teach you never can stop sinning,, so people become convinced they always sin and remain hypocrites,, this teaching wraps people in sin tighter than bark on a tree.

Christianity is becoming millions of professing sinners

Proud as peacocks they will tell you they sin daily!

if you tell them the truth it runs off their backs like water running off a duck!

  • One of the great deceptions in the church today is that once saved, we can continue in sin without our salvation being at risk. The trouble with this doctrine is that no one could interpret the bible to say this on their own without someone indoctrinating them to read it in a backwards context.

Hebrews 10:26. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

  • @edensflow The thing is, your salvation is not at risk, but if you are saved, or "abide in Christ," you will not continue in sin - you will be convicted and come out of it. 1 John is clear on that. The willful sin that Hebrews 10 is talking about is the Jews continuing to offer burnt sacrifices for sins - keep the verse in context, or else it means something the Spirit did not intend.

  • @rokwing We could argue this all day, as it's been argued millions of times before. My belief is that you are doing exactly what you are accusing me of, which is taking scripture out of context to fit a doctrine instead of requiring a doctrine to fit context.

  • @edensflow Just read all of Hebrews 10, it's obvious. I am pleading with you to check it out, the willful sin is the sacrifices. The Jews were being pressured to return to Judaism. If the Jews kept doing the sacrifices it proved that they did not trust that Jesus' sacrifice was enough, and hence did not believe the Gospel. We don't need to debate monergism vs arminianism, but I insist you read Hebrews 10 with this in mind, maybe you will agree.

  • They are. Problem?

  • Wow! You miss the point entirely!

  • First, what is the definition of sin, if sin means anything that is not in accordance with God's wishes, then when Paul says in Ephesians 6:18 "To pray at all times and on all occasions in the power of the Holy Spirit." then we can't be perfect. It is very tough to concentrate on God for every moment of every day at all times. Even after getting saved, people sin at times. I think it's the practice of sin that Paul means to say we should avoid. We will get better as we live.

  • Is it a sin to not glorify God for a glass of water He gave you?

  • your relationship with God will answer that question for you most honestly . Everything you have is from Him. Would you not desire to be in the place where you were conscisouly thankful for the smallest of His gifts? SO many do not have clean drinkable water... hope this helps. God bless

  • oh, I know it is sin to not thank God for a glass of water

  • the judgements are starting,,

Jesus's atonement is for past sins

all people must stop rebelling / sinning

    to enter Gods kingdom.

if you are sinning stop it! repent!

    or you will

    go to hell

  • YES OPEN AIR PREACHER....B/C YOU ARE SAVED NOT BY GRACE BUT WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS......repent you heritic.

Why was Jesus born of a virgin If Adam's condemnation wasn't passed down?

Why wasnt Jesus born "innocent" as you say and just didnt sin?

Your theology is from hell. Repent of your witchcraft.

You have erred from the faith.

  • dwaynesweatman1988

the blood of Jesus is remission of sin..

    salvation is only by Jesus.

stop sinning and start loving Jesus

  • So openairpreacher, under the new covenant, you are not SAVED by grace, B/c everyone has grace, you are saved by your own doing of good works, Is that what you are saying??

  • I am not saved by works

I didn't hang on the cross ( Jesus did)

but because I love God I choose to forsake sinning! and walk holy..

    this drives OSAS calvinisms mad!

into a rage! the Idea of someone loving Jesus and forsaking sinning make the enemy outraged!

  • For all men sin and fall short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23). Paul also wrote in Romans 7, that even he still struggled with sin after conversion. So according to your words openairpreacher, paul was unsaved?

  • mcguck

all men HAVE sinned... some stop and forsake sinning

Paul was talking in third person teaching about living under civil jewish law,,, and how to overcome sinning...

Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

  • Paul crucified the flesh and stopped sinning

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

if your sinning your none of His (Jesus)

1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

  • A saved man will sin less and continue to grow in that. No man can ever not sin that in itself is a lie. We sin in commission and omission so you sin even when you don't realize it. Thats why there is Grace and why God died for our sins. Please stop putting heavy burdens on the backs of those when you can not even carry the burden yourself.

    God Bless

  • mcguck

    the anti-christ spirit says

NO man can ever stop sinning

Jesus says GO and sin NO more! Sin is avoidable,

if sin is not avoidable then sinning would

    not be a choice.

If sinning is unavoidable then there would be no choice

and God would not be able to judge.

God made men with a freewill to make choices ,

so then God is righteous in judgment!

  • Peter sinned after he was given the Holy spirit and was rebuked by Paul.

  • the bible doesn't say Peter sinned..

His heart my have been in the right place but he was making a mistake and Paul rebuked him

even if Peter did sin He repented

holy men wrote the bible not sinning people

  • Stop twisting scripture, rebuke is rebuke man and you only get rebuke when you are wrong. There is only one perfect man who walked this earth His name is Jesus Christ. No one other then him shall ever be perfect until we see him again face to face and he makes us perfect like him. In the words of John the Baptist "REPENT" of your sin of thinking you have no sin.

  • mcguck

you Calvinists should learn to read and stop listening to strange voices

    calvinism is anti-Christ

perfect? I would rather believe the bible than you!

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

  • Job was far from perfect and had to be rebuked by God Himself. Again repent for all sin and fall short of the glory of God that is why we have grace. Not to continue in sin or sin so that grace may abound but for when we do make a mistake.

  • mcguck

quote; Job was far from perfect ;end quote

bible; whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright,

you are attacking the word of God! repent of your pride!

its always amazing how calvinism twists mens minds into a bunch of nonsense!

  • Yes your correct in the beginning of Job he was referred to as perfect and upright. For the most part he was and did not sin, during the course of time during his talks with his unwise friends he did eventually sin. Finally God came down and rebuked him. No man is perfect say Christ do you now say that there was three, you Job and Christ?

If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1Jo.1:8)

  • 1 John 1:10 we find these words, "if we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us."

We are only perfect and sinless through Christ.

  • Deut. 18:13 (KJV) Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.

2 Samuel 22:33 (KJV) God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

1 Kings 15:14 (KJV) But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the Lord all his days.

Psalm 18:32 (KJV) It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Psalm 37:37 (KJV) Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

  • people can be perfect and stop sinning

    and be obedient..

calvinism is a lie and claims ,,nobody is ever perfect and all Christians always sin daily,, its anti-christ

    sinning is a choice

  • None is perfect except Christ and perfection can only be obtained through Christ.

  • mcguck

your statement in not true or biblical

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

David chose a army of people with perfect hearts.,,,,,,,,,,,,,you can be perfect too if you will get away from calvinisms deception

  • Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

  • people can fall! also people can choose Jesus and stop falling

calvinism is anti-christ and claims people always sin and fall with no choice

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

  • 1 John 2:1-2

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

  • mcguck

    1 jn 2;1-2

    proves calvinism is antichrist

Calvinism claims christians cannot stop sinning,, that they sin daily if that were true

John would have been wasting His words when He said "sin not" John was not a lair,, its calvinism that decieves

  • 1 Calvinism does not teach what your stating, honestly read and understand before you make such a claim.

2 I never claimed to be a Calvanist, I do believe in election because the bible teaches election. As for John Calvin he was a man of God who studied the word. I believe he was a great man in his age but I don't state to be a follower.

3 Any one who study's the bible would know that you don't continue in sin after regeneration. Sin happens but that is why there is grace.

  • 4 I am sorry you are struggling with this truth, as of now I am ending this debate.

23But refuse (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questionings, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels.

  • 24And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). Instead,he must be kindly to everyone and mild-tempered [preserving the bond of peace]; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong.25He must correct his opponents with courtesy and gentleness, in the hope that God may grant that they will repent and come to know the Truth [that they will perceive and recognize and become accurately acquainted with and acknowledge it]

  • 2 Timothy 2:23-25

  • no doubt, however, this verse is about ELDERS

    i believe

  • mcguck-I just came across your comment and wanted to say-GOOD COMMENT--SMILE--do you know that Amen in Hebrew simply means(this is the truth)---There is just so much bickering between people---who is right who is wrong???People need to consentrate on the word...personaly embrace the Lord--and be ready for his coming...And this is not something a person should only do once a week. It is just sad to see Christains so divided..that is the work of you know who...God wants us to LOVE one another.AMEN

  • 3 meant to say that we should not sin after regeneration but sin occurs thats why we have grace.

  • mcguck

the very doctrine you embrace leaves people in darkness unable to think logically,,

Calvin was wicked and chose to have a man ( michael servetus) executed because they disagreed on doctrine..

I have seen this same anti-christ spirit emerge with death threats and wild accusations..I have had the cops called,, been spit on and threated with death,,

    because I state!

Jesus sets people free from sin and they can choose to walk holy

Satan and all His evil workers come running!

  • mcguck

Grace is not a excuse for sinning,,

when people are sinning they are NOT under grace,, their grace has failed! they are backsliding and heading to hell

    unless they repent!

you want Grace to be your legal license to sin...its antichrist

  • openairpreacher

    you believe in sinless perfection.

according to what you may believe sin to be that may be possible. it seems your idea of sin is breaking a command of God.

Though let me ask you this. When was the last time you glorified God as he OUGHT to be glorified? When was the last time you esteemed god as he OUGHT to be esteemed? and the answer to that is never. and that is why we all fall short and rely on Christ. It is possible to live in absolute obedience but not perfection.

  • "It is possible to live in absolute obedience but not perfection."

This is a distinction without a differance.

  • Comment removed

  • steven008008, what is the biblical basis of this? This sounds more like a doctrinal concept than a biblical truth to me. I can find you loads of scriptures that instruct us to keep the commandments and warn us of the consequences for breaking them.

  • @openairpreacher may i ask how long you've been saved?

  • Any one who study's the bible would know that

you don't "continue" in SIN after regeneration.

Sin happens but that is why there is grace.

how is ANY sin NOT the SAME as continuing IN

    sin ?

  • this speaks of habitual sin with no remorse, no brokeness before God. No crying out continually for deliverance. No pleading of the blood of Jesus Christ upon that sin or sins.

  • @LONESTAROFDAVID HELLO,IPASSED THROUGH ALL THE COMMENTS,AND AT

TIMES IN MY LIFE I FEARED I HAVE BEEN GIVEN UP BY GOD BECAUSE OF BESETTING SINS AND I SAW YOUR COMMENT AND WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR POSTING IT HERE, THANK YOU .

  • @openairpreacher Mr. Morrell please, please learn Biblical Greek. You can probably do so free online. Then read the New Testament. 1 John 3:6 in the Greek uses a verb that describes ongoing action, it says that no Christian sins as a settled character or lifestyle.

  • @dwaynesweatman1988 Openair is some guy named Jesse Morrel who likes to yell at college students and literally follows Pelagius, nevermind Finney. Don't cast your pearls before the swine by arguing with him like so many have. The guy worships at the altar of free will, hence his theology conforms around that concept rather than God's Word. He believes he must earn his salvation by obeying God's law perfectly. But it's ok, because Openair cannot ultimately deceive the sheep, only the tares.

  • Praise God for thiis! May GOd impart the doble portion of anointing of Leonard Ravenhill on this generation.

  • I'm currently reading, "Why Revival Tarries". Very good!!

  • That is a good book.

  • I love listening to this man. I recently bought his book Meat for Men, and I am thoughroly engrossed in it.

  • How was the book, "Meat for Men"? I've not heard of that one by Leonard Ravenhill. Will definitely have to look for it.

  • Thank u for up loading these treasures! God bless..

  • every video has to get to the 666 count brother, its the way thing work.

  • Oh I know. And if anything I meant it in the positive sense. Just as when you read John 6:66. Leonard is constantly encouraging men to get back to God in a world that puts its trust in princes.

    God bless.
