All the big factories in China are the same., Chins wants all the manufacturing jobs that's why they do it so cheap.
Everyday more companies switch over to Chinese manufacturers. I saw a documentary about it and all the big brands that we know and love have these labor camps X-box, I phone, Android, Sony etc.
It's disgusting but it probably won't change, we the consumers are just as bad because if X-box 720 was made in the US but cost 1500-2000 dollars we wouldn't buy it.
I've herd that foxconn opened a new factory and workers are already building apples ipad2 even though the factory is still under construction, how did that happen?

A factory job is readily available and better than the vast majority of options you have if you want to work legally. Great! You wanna sign up but the only way to get the job is to promise to work for X-amounts of months and live in their housing just for employees. That sounds pretty good actually; now you won't burden your parents and siblings and be independent.

You still need OT to break even and can't stop or else be in debt to the factory you work for.

Foxconn makes Sony, Apple, and LG products as well as far as i know. This American Life made an episode dedicated to this where this Mac Enthusiast travels to Shen-jen(where foxconns located at) to find out how it's manufactured. He interviews a lot of workers and its definitely something Microsoft can fix by just checking up on the factory like Apple claims to do and make them stop abusing workers or cut them off as a manufacturer.

I've been back and forth with their customer 'service' a few times and If I were in their shoes I'd be embarassed to call it that.

Foxconn makes Sony, Apple, and LG products as well as far as i know. This American Life made an episode dedicated to this where this Mac Enthusiast travels to Shen-jen(where foxconns located at) to find out how it's manufactured. He interviews a lot of workers and its definitely something Microsoft can fix by just checking up on the factory like Apple claims to do and make them stop abusing workers or cut them off as a manufacturer.

The two companies clearly have a contracted deal. It's not up to Microsoft or Xbox to be concerned about the working condition's, especially overseas. That's up to the company providing this product & only theirs. In my opinion, if people are THAT upset about working there, then QUIT.
