@kangadillo Sorry, that skit is not anywhere on YT. Maybe someone, someday will come up with it and upload it. I'm waiting for such things as the "Istanbul" skit and the "Take Me Back to Sorrento" skit. And many other things.
Johnny's mother got him started in the business singing at night spots when he was just a teen. She wanted him to get professional experience and he did. This is a tribute to all the mothers who support the dreams of their children. His voice is phenomenal. His delivery excellent whether comedy or or a serious ballad.
Whatever happened to entertainment for entertainment purposes. It is done in fun, really nothing AT ALL to do with religion. People need to lighten up and stop trying to find "THE BAD" in everything.
i dont think he is making fun of the different religeons its a tribute to mothers and i think that is great many mothers will always worry over their young even when they are grown and even if he was making fun it isnt with malice you want to bitch at someone about being jewish why dont you go to neil diamond hes jewish and was married and divorced his jewish wife to marry a non jewish female
@scorzeny45 what are you talking about. ?? those were clips of some very special songs that some of us older folk happen to like back in the lae 70s and 80's SNN paid tribute to mothers. where isthe offence??
IF you love SNN as I do you can go to their official website and under LINKS at the bottom is a link to Sha Na Na Fan Pages by Cheryl and then on her site there is a link saying "HELP GET THE SHA NA NA VARIETY SHOW ON DVD!"
Yes, it is. He has a mischievous look about him. I think that next to "Little Red Riding Hood", this was one of my top ten favorite skits featuring Johnny.
Someone mentioned that Johnny was in a skit based on "Little Red Riding Hood." Can someone tell me how to find it on YouTube, please? Thank you.

I sent this to my mother for Mother's Day to see and she loved it. Sing on, Johnny Boy.

He had an absolutely beautiful voice.
Somebody goofed on the Yiddish Mama part. That's not a menorah! It has ten candles and it's supposed to have eight!
kangadillo 3 years ago
It has nine, which is correct. The eight on the sides are for the eight nights and the middle one is called 'the helper".
I'd forgotten how amazing these guys were. Thanks for posting this, faerydancer! :)

Whoops, sorry! I couldn't see it clearly enough to count correctly!

It was supposed to be a funny skit, and ends up showing just what range Johnny has...he can sing anything and everything.
