  • John Cusack was the perfect Rob, he really was. He was so insanely good in this role.

  • The one thing I liked about this movie? It was filmed in Chicago.....It seems to have drawn a following of people who forget the worlds a big place.....with LOTS of options/smells things to do and best of all? Other people to meet!....and oh yeah...It's a MOVIE...

  • Top 5 things I love about Rob:

    1. He's awesome.

    2. He has an amazing music taste and owns a record shop.

    3. He's handsome and really attractive.

    4. He's smart and somewhat funny.

    5. He's awesome.

  • @TheCall0fTheWildest

    why thank you :]

  • I freaking love this movie!

  • I just walked across the Kinsie St Bridge in chicago this past weekend in honor of this "top five" all time favorite movie

  • ...some people just feel like...home. Damn, does he know his girl or what? Love this movie! This is my fav scene! It chokes me up everytime. Don't all the people we love eventually feel like home? So it hurts twice as much cuz it seems like you lost the only place you've ever known.

  • i love rob's taste in women

  • I think the one thing that has been overlooked in this film is....Rob wears some really cool shirts.

  • He is soo like me. I like to make lists and I talk to myself, especially when it comes to a girl AND I love my music

  • Been there, done that, got the broken heart t-shirt...

  • Wish someone would make a top 5 like this about me. The smell and grace things get me the most...

  • this is my favorite scene of the movie.

  • i love that so many men are commenting on this scene. it gives me hope that there are men out there who FEEL!!!! thanks guys! (i get the computer types (pun intended) who show no emotion, only process. this makes me smile :)

  • @1brazilnut Sadly, there are too many women who abuse their station as women, and are fickle and can't live their own lives much less be in a relationship.

  • @punkmusicmetal

Woah there, I'm sure men are just as guilty of that as women. I also wasn't aware being a 'woman' came with certain characteristics that can be 'abused'.

  • I can't stop watching this...

  • when she says: I need time to figure myself out. what she really means is: I'm tired of you and need to find someone more compatible to me.

don't mean she don't love you.

  • I'm in the middle of a waiting phase right now...she just walked out to figure herself out a couple weeks ago...I have yet to understand it, I just know she needs her time and space, and I am willing to give it to her. "Some people...feel like home..." I actually teared up to this line. It's absolutely astonishing that I can miss somebody this much...I'm just hoping I can work through this with her, because I don't want a life without her anymore.

  • Yeah, the women schizo stuff. They all got it. And he's right. it's what got him to where he is in this scene. It's what made all of us guys get rid of or try to get dumped by girls we actually love very much and then months or years later westart to regret. Moving out is easy. Moving on ain't.

  • LOL!! "Garden variety, women, schitzo stuff......That's the kind of thing that got me here"

  • I first watched this after coming home and finding my fiancie in bed with another guy.. the movie hit all the right chords.. excellent film!!

  • Totally jerked it to this video.

  • High Fidelty, 500 Days of the Summer. The only flicks for guys on relationships.

  • @iHipHop don´t forget about "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!"! and Jim Carrey´s Joel!

  • @lolololo2121 and Swingers. We forgot Swingers.

  • John Cusack should've won an Oscar for his work here.

  • love it. great scene.

  • "It just killls me" god i love this movie

  • Perfect monologue from one of my all-time top 5 favorite movies.

  • gross pointe blank and high fidelity.. cusack at his best..

  • Anyone whos ever missed a significant other after a break up feels the same way

  • So great. I love this movie. John Cusack makes it so much more awesome!

  • It hurts to think of all the amazing things that I miss about her. It's torture, every single minute of every single day.

  • @ShatteredWake654 I hear you, bro.

  • damn i miss my girlfriend

  • i wish i had this :) this type of person who thinks about me this way

  • I love John. He has this natural charisma for romantic comedies. I'd like to meet him.

  • oh my god, i do 5 aswell, thats so strange:L

    thanks for uploading:) x

  • 500 days of summer reminds me of this one, when I was in the movie theather I was thinking: This movie is so similar to High Fidelity. HF is the mature version of 500 days of summer.

I also have to say that I love both John Cusack and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

  • kind of reminds me of the part in 500 days of summer where joseph gordon-levitt describes what he loves about summer.

  • sounds like the perfect woman

  • I haven't watched this film for a looooong time, but will now dig it out. Love this scene and the way he phrases everything he misses. Pure poetry.

  • You should read the book. It takes every bit of dialogue that's pure poetry from the film and just multiplies it by a thousand because there are more lines like that to read. Brilliant stuff.

  • How's this story supposed to be set in Wicker Park and not ONCE does Sharkula ever turn up?

  • top five signs you're boring

    1) the emotional substance in your relationship has to be continually retrofitted with parts sent from hollywood, ca

    2-5) ...

  • i use this in a mix tape for a ex, and it work, well temporary! before she fuck off and went straight to the top of my all time break ups!

  • john cusak was incredible in this movie

  • This is one of my all time favorite movies.

That's a great view of Chicago behind him. It was filmed on the Kinzie Street bridge looking south.

  • love him!!:)

  • i love the top 5's in this movie. does anyone know if the rules to making the perfect compliation CD is on youtube anywhere? it should be up! great scene from a great film

  • "I miss her smell and the way she tastes...some people...feel like home." - oh man that hit me hard...perfect description.

  • i used that on someone once, than showed them the movie because it is my favorite. im an idiot haha

  • @buggoff true that

  • Comment removed

  • He looks like Neil Gaiman.

  • what page are you on? Neil Gaiman? i might not dissagree but whats you point?

  • i think my favorite aspect of this movie is that once he stops trying to control everything, shit just comes together. good lesson.

  • I finished watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall, this is probably next on the break up movie list.

  • Forgetting Sarah Marshall isn't even in the same League! High Fidelity is way better...

  • Comment removed

  • True that!

  • @TexMacabre Fore sure. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a great "I'm drunk and want to watch a movie" kind of movie. High Fidelity is a friggin' masterpiece.

  • I really love this scene. its funny its always the little things you miss most about the person you once loved and then you think now someone else is enjoying them.

  • top john cusack movie?

    This one! :)

    And this scene. So real.

It's a mystery of human chemistry....

  • This is so f*ckin god damn true... These little things which you don't realize when you're in the relationship but as it's over, you find out howmuch you have been hooked up on them...

  • Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • hye guys! last saturday my gf just broke up with me after a 4 years relationship. Her reasons were unaccetable for a break up. i even went to surprised her with a visit cos she was studying somewhere else and i was surprised myself that she studied late with a guy and slept at his house saying he wouldnt want her to walk back alone. what a reason for me to cannot sleep at her bed wondering where she is. The next day she dumped me after a longest walk of my life on the worst day ever.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • I just broke up with my girlfriend about 3 days ago, and these past 3 days have sucked, even the first hour after i did it was torture, granted i have the ability to go with other girls... it's not the same, thanks for posting this though. It makes me feel like complete and utter crap, yet it is very true... i love this movie even more now

  • i miss my best friend...

she likes someone else or is "in love" i guess now...

    w/e

  • love on the rocks

  • @Zabbai - I know exactly what you're saying. When I posted this scene from the movie I had also broke up with my fiance. We ended up getting together again, but in the time we were apart was really awkward to see movies and scenes like that. The "feels like home" part what most impressively described my loss of her at the time.

    Good luck!

  • Just broke up with my fiance and now this movie is on. Maybe God does have a sense of irony.

  • A absolutely brilliant film - seen it so many times I could act it out - so real , great acting , great soundtrack ............

This is a proper real life love story - its the way it is

  • :( !!

  • i love this movie but john cusack's character has major OCD lol

  • this movie express both love and a passion for music. the 2 greatest things ever to exist

i simply love this movie with a unique and art-like passion

  • Definitely one of my favorites. Wow it makes you think how long you wait for love but when you find it, none of the past really matters.

  • Such an awesome movie, and clip! :) <3

  • amazing movie - check out the outtakes on the DVD...cool insights...like Jack Black was choosen for Barry by all three of the writers/producers before they even spoke to each other.

  • <3 oh.

  • Great movie! Cusack!

  • YOU GO JOHN CUSACK!!!

  • YOU GO JOHN CUSACK!!!

  • Beautiful. :)

  • hey you gotta love it =)

  • Favourited! This is the scene that made me want to watch this movie. That, and Jack Black. And Cusack. And my love for vinyl. And the music... God, this movie has it ALL!

  • u should read the book

  • i love this movie. i watched it after this girl left me for another guy. I cried, but it helped. Another "make a guy cry movie" is swingers

  • That's sweet. Most guys wouldn't admit to a film making them cry.

  • CHICAGOOOOOO!

  • this is so much of a coincidence it's almost impossible to express in words

  • I LOVE YOUR COMMENT CJ AND HOPE HOPE HOPE YOU MEAN IT.

WE CAN GET IT BACK, BUT BETTER, MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

THE SCENE WITH DYLAN'S "MOST OF THE TIME" is great too!

    xoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxooox

  • Top 5 Things I Miss About Him

  • OMG! how sweet!

  • "i miss her smell" yum at cusack

  • I saw this movie after my girl went away with other guy. Then i gave her the movie on dvd. She still feel the kick in the stomach everytime she remember this kind of scenes.
