  • very convenient:)

  • is this compatible with the macbook air

  • you missed the cross fader start

  • can i plug in 2 cdjs to this so i can use them as decks c and d?

  • good looking tool, can anyone tell me if this has built in amp, or do you have to hook one up to it.

  • @djrobovw1 It does not have a built in amp.

  • @Uniquesquared thanks for replying to me...

  • @djrobovw1 its plastic, and worthless without a computer.. waste of cash

  • i want this so bad but i have one problem i live in macedonia so how can i get this ?

  • how to use mic for ddj t1?

  • @Uniquesquared does this work on windows vista?

  • which is better T1-S1. i already have T1 but i want somethign that i can scratching. can you help me out please.

  • @hiren6 well its personal preference, they're the exact same thing except the T1 comes with traktor and the S1 comes with serato. if you want to scratch id go with the S1

  • I have been using the S4 for the past year, but managed to break it this weekend! I wondered if this controller will work with Traktor Pro 2? ?? I don't really want to buy another controller and have to mess around with all my playlists?

  • @finansis Yes, it will. How did you break your S4? Maybe we can help you fix it.

  • is there a sync button ?

  • @HLiAZ17 Yes, there is if you need one. I hope this helps!

  • @Uniquesquared can you play in a club with a with this one ?

  • Is this suitable for ipod use only? as i dont own a laptop, and what is the differecne between this and theDDJ S1.

  • @Philliegirl1 No, you must run the software on a laptop or desktop. The S1 is for Serato Itch, and the T1 uses Traktor. I hope this helps!

  • this or the s4?

  • @TheDJLeeOfficial

i had s4, i dislike it.... i went to pioneer! love it

  • Comment removed

  • Do you get Traktor and VDJ? Or only Traktor? I'm used to VDJ, or is Traktor some better? Never used it..

  • @MikeElAngeloMusic This is a Traktor controller. It comes with a Pioneer edition but you can use Traktor Pro or TP 2.

  • can i also use this one as a mixer without the computer ?

for example if a friend wants to play with cds

  • @molitz95 I believe he said you can plug your iPhone/iPod/MP3 in so I think you'll only need some power for it and you're good to go..

  • is it easily breakable. and what exactly is the loop roll

  • Hey man, I f I would get this can I still connect analog decks as well to it like you can with the vms 4 or not ?

    thx in advance

  • Do you recommend buying the NI S4 or the DDJ T1? I am leaving my mixer and decks and going straight to controllers!

  • how to use aux/mic??

  • can you somehow connect a novation launchpad to it, for example with easy use of extra samples?

  • Can anyone recomend something that's isn't that expensive? I think I'm more than a beginner.

  • @adrianringstrom Try the NI S2, great price, awesome contoller.

  • @adrianringstrom hercules 4mx

  • excelent video man!!! i`m very interesting to get a ddj t1 but my big question is...the scratch how is it? is good?? excelent?? Thanks very much dude!

  • What upsets me the most is that the ddj-t1 doesnt have xlr outputs... why?? i was looking into buying this but the fact that it doesnt have xlr outputs really made me think twice about spending the money. Do you know why Pioneer included xlr outputs on the S1 but not the T1?

  • god why the hell didnt pioneer have full mixer capability... the S4 looks more useful but honestly I like the size of the pioneer better... feels more... legit? Call me old fashioned I guess....

To me the S4 still looks like a toy.... but it really has the functionality that the pioneer doesnt!! :-\

  • i would ik to know whice one u would buy the ddjt1 or the ddjs1

  • what do you prfer??

    ddj.t1 or the traltor s4???

    i'm undecised

  • @djariell10 depends on what you want. effecting or scratching. effecting is s4 and scratching is t1

  • hey im new to dj'ng and want a great controller i was wondering what is better the ddj-t1 or the ddj-ergo ive never really dj'ed but i want something thats great and easy to use and learn with :) get back to me asap thank you

  • @xXRAVERXx07 It depends on which software Traktor or VDJ you prefer, and your budget. I prefer the DDJ-T1 of the two. Check out our video on the Ergo, too.

  • I love your reviews Madflip! Damn I have to say (type) this: Why on earth would Pioneer NOT include the function of a stand-alone mixer?? AHHHRGH (as in 2 phono inputs)

  • I love your reviews Madflip! Damn I have to say (type) this: Why on earth would Pioneer NOT include the function of a stand-alone mixer?? AHHHRGH

  • Hey Dj madflip, does the program tractor comes with it?

and also can you record your mixes with it??

  • @Pedroandbobtv Yes, it comes with it and you can record mixes directly to your laptop within the software. It's brilliant. I hope this helps!

  • Hello! im a starting dj, and I just wanted to ask, do you reccomend this deck, for a dj like me that has parties almsot every 2-3 weeks, at clubs and at big halls?

  • @mistegna Yes, I do. This is a great reliable controller for big gigs.

  • Hi, Im new to all the talk about outputs and inputs.. I the video, you have connected both Master Output (RCA and 1/4 Jack), what do you get out of that? I mean, can you use them both at the same time for like (more than 1 set active speakers - am i right?).

And did I misunderstand you when you said that I can plug in a iPhone into the Mic input and then play from the iPhone? i thought that i should be connected to the AUX input?

  • @Mchris222 One output is going to our recorder for the video and one is going to my monitor. There is no advantage to using both.

  • Hi, I was thinking of getting two CDJ200 & DJM350 for home, and now when I saw DDJ-T1, I am not sure which pack to take. The thing that's bothering me about usb controllers is that they are light in weight, and the controls just do not feel the same as with CDJs or DJMs. I felt the same with a few other usb controllers that I've tried. So my Q: Do you think there is a lot of difference in the actual feeling of the knobs, jogwheels and other controls in comparison to CDJ and DJM?

  • should do another reivew now you get a free update for traktor pro 2, thumbs up if you agree!

  • Its only the DDJ-T1 and DDJ-S1 that have steered away from traditional DJing techniques. If you want to use the traditional Repeating-Cue and Cued-Play techniques on Traktor then either map Traktor yourself get the Denon DNMC-6000 Midi controller.

I think that both the DDJ-T1/DDJ-S1 are the same as that Mixmeister control deck where the focus was'nt mixing but rather using effects and samples, focusing more on the creative side of DJing. However DJs only get paid to mix songs not do tricks.

  • @poundherpussy Your name makes me want to throw the missis over the banister and give her a right smashing before assualting her back doors...

  • Why is it that EVERYONE that owns a DDJ-T1 on YOUTUBE only ever DJs at home or in their bedroom.

I reckon the [S] snap and [Q] quantisization buttons as well as the SYNC button make this DDJ-T1 deck worthless. I also reckon the beat-grid crap has killed off REAL DJing, now everyone auto-cues.

The DDJ-T1 should have only had the Repeating-Cue (Stuttering-Cue) where instead of the SYNC button it should've had a CDJ-Mode button to switch between Vinyl and CDJ modes and Cued-Play functions.

  • is the ns6 better?

  • @TheDJLITIO It's better if you want to use Serato Itch. The DDJ-T1 is for Traktor only.

  • what do u mean about non proprietary version of tractor why is the tractor not good?

  • great video! i'm watching your ddj t1 videos for 5 days now and i will watch them until i got the money to afford it :D

    my questions:

are there sample decks in the traktor pioneer edition?

does it work if i use traktor with the ddj t1 and hook another usb controller just like the akai lpd, to control the sampling(if there are sample banks)? or will the mapping for the ddj overwritten?

  • That's such convenient because Everything is so CONVENIENT in this controller!

  • do you think this set up is good for a trance dj thats just beginning?

  • @xXRAVERXx07 Absolutely. You would love it.

  • hey man,

i know you've probably been asked this a million times, but if u don't mind could you give me your opinion between which would be the better controller ddj-t1 of control s4??

another idea that came to my mind, do you think it would be alright to get traktor 2 and hook my mixtrack pro to it and buy a x1 and connect it to it as well??

    cheers dannyx :)

  • @96DanielX Thanks for the question. I prefer the S4 until the T1 can be upgraded to non-proprietary version of Traktor. Buying the X1 is also a great option for advanced control with the MT Pro, too. I guess it depends on your budget and how soon you need it for your gigs. I hope this helps!

  • @Uniquesquared

thanks heaps bro :) keep the good work up :)

  • @Uniquesquared what do u mean by, it not being able to be upgraded to non-proprietary ver. of traktor?

    thanks heaps

  • This whole video is very convenient. If you count how many times he says it.

  • THIS DOESNT PLAY VIDEO MUSIC FOR VJ WANTS TO PLAY VIDEO MUSIC MIXING

  • THERE IS NO SAMPLER BUILT IN IN THIS PIONEER

    NO GOOD AT ALL

ONLY GOOD FOR FX - SOUND EFFECTS

BUT NO SAMPLING BANKS - JUST LOOPING

WHICH DJ LIKES TO EXCITE AND CREATIVITY

  • how would you compare theDDJ-T1 to the Kontrol S4?

  • Is there a fader curve adjust?

  • @djchiclet Yes, in the Traktor software. It's sharp curve is excellent for scratching.

  • so i can only use vinyl mode???? in cluibs i prefer cdj800 but home i have a 10years old 100s what i ahve to sell now ... so i always use the good old cdj mode ... so with this no???? than i think i choose s4 ... or maybe two pio400! SO ONLY VINYL MODE? cos i wont use the sync ... but i need to buy something for home use!

  • hahaha he looks gay

  • @twizzydadog you look gay

  • 4:49 "boom booom.... i like that"

  • Can you hook up turntables to this unit?? I'd like to be able to use my 1200's like some other unit are capable of doing.

  • @frankiecoldmedina You can hook up one through the Aux input.

  • This or traktor s4? Im really having a hard time deciding n rite now the price doesnt matter. Thxx

  • @Uniquesquared thanks for your help howeve i cant seem to get it to work i got to traktor preferences and under mixer the only options are auto crossfade time, set autogain when loading track and enable master limiter it doesnt ask me if i want to enable the view of the crossfader

  • @polli2132 Can you try recalibrating your faders?

  • somehow my corss fader on my T1 has been disabled no idea how.. can someone please please tell me how to enable my cross fader thanks !

  • @polli2132 Check in the Traktor preferences under Mixer. Under Mixer layout enable view of the cross fader and make sure the software is reading the movement. If not do a calibration under controller management for the all of your faders. I hope this helps.

  • does the DDJ T1 have slip mode ??

  • Random question. I've been using digital based software with a ghetto controler, and i'm looking into getting this. But what are the jog wheels like for beatmatching? i.e, do they react similarly to CDJ's or do they just scratch through the song?

  • @TheseHandsWillBe They respond just as the CDJ's do in that the sides nudge tempo up and down and the top is touch sensitive for scratching. I hope this helps!

  • @Uniquesquared awesome man, that is exactly what i was hoping you would say. shall be investing in one of these bad boys as soon as i can. thanks (Y)

  • 04:48 ...and then your crossfader... boom, boom... i like that... :)

  • Is there in this controller only the Vinyl mode or also the CDJ mode ?

  • @DegoDj94 There is no CDJ mode. Touching the sides adjust faster or slower and touching the top will be like touching the record.

  • @Uniquesquared oh ok so the sides are like cdj mode??

  • @DegoDj94 Yes, indeed! I hope that works for you.

  • just curious, I tried to order the tshirt your wearing and they wanted $80 shipping for 1 shirt to Australia :/

  • HOW MUCH IS IT?

  • Numark ns6 or this?

  • @mrsamstringer The NS6 works better with serato itch than traktor so far. Which software do you prefer? The DDJ-T1 is traktor only.

  • @Uniquesquared I like both traktor and serato itch, however what do you think you can do more with?

  • @mrsamstringer Traktor definitely has more capabilities as far as having advanced effects and sample recording. Check out the Kontrol S4 as well because you can use sample banks on the 3rd and 4th decks. I hope this helps.

  • @Uniquesquared However, as far as the controller is concerned, what do you think is the better controller overall in your opinion, numark ns6 or the pioneer ddj-t1? Waying into account the jog wheels, ease of use, and number of functions?

  • what kind of cables do you need for the ddj-t1?

  • @mexvic77 XLR or RCA for either master outputs.

  • can u record your tracks?

  • @DJTableSkraps17 You can record your mix inside of Traktor. Make sure you assign your record output to internal. I hope this helps!

  • hey any suggestions of my headphones they dont seem towork well cn u explain how to use them

btw what r somegood effect combos

  • Can i use DDJ-T1 with Traktor PRO 2?

  • hey madflip whats the price? in terms of getting what you paid for, would you say the traktor kontrol s4 or this is a better deal?

  • i turned this off when he said you'll feel right at home if you use turntables or CDJ. I own turntables, have owned midi controllers and Pioneer CDJ and they feel totally different, this thing looks bullshit.

  • @chidamole Your attitude will always limit you no matter what you use. I review products for a living with the hopes of helping any one trying to make a decision on what would be best for them. I hope that one day DJs like yourself can elevate their craft without disdain on any piece of gear that is presented to them. It's your loss if you get left behind.

  • @Uniquesquared I haven't been limited at all i'm doing what I enjoy doing with equipment I enjoy using. i used to have a vestax vci 100 and an efx midi controller running traktor pro before i had CDJ, and now i have turntables. It's just down to preference. My attitude does not mean i get left behind or feel limited, i'm not interested in using the latest efx so i'm just doing what I want to do. I could do more with the equipment i used to own, I prefer what i got now, it's not my loss at all.

  • @chidamole True, it is about your preference and I can respect your decision to use turntables.

  • @Uniquesquared Cheers i appreciate you seeing my point.

  • @Uniquesquared

Where can I buy this thing? Everywhere I looked or on Pioneers DJ site they say "See:Where to buy" and then I chose a country and he opens me all shops in that country that are importing-exporting cellphones,tv's everything that is technique... Pls answer, hope I'm not asking a dumb question. Thanks

  • @lordie4u amazon's selling them.

  • @akaTRAP91

thanks new or reselling? :D or both :)

  • @lordie4u both from what I saw.

  • @akaTRAP91 thanks alot man :) I've already found it :D

  • @lordie4u no problem. hopefully you'll put up a video of your impressions as well. I'm picking to either save for this or the Numark NS6

  • @akaTRAP91

I'm saving for s4 first but then I changed to pioneer t1 its better and its more handy :D

  • @akaTRAP91

hey sorry to bother you again, but when I search at amazon.com I found the hardware but the software I need to buy is seperate and thats ok, but I want to be sure is traktor pro scratch 2 bought from amazon which is not included with the software compatible with pioneer? thx in forward.

  • @lordie4u Are you sure you found the right one? Because there's a smaller version of this that doesn't come with any software. Or maybe there's two versions of it. The only one I see on Amazon as of me typing this is the DDJ-T1 "For Traktor Pioneer Edition". Try adding that into the search 'n see what you came up.

Also, are you looking in the US store? Cuz that's where I'm located 'n it might not be available in your country.

  • @akaTRAP91

    yes I saw that too.

well I've tried stocking it and it says it is possible to ship in my country :) thats Europe... maybe I've done it wrong. Can that tell me is it available in my country?

  • @lordie4u well Europe's the continent soooo idk if it can ship to your specific country or not. Maybe try going to the Amazon site dedicated to your country 'n not the US store.

  • i turned this off when he said you'll feel right at home if you use turntables or CDJ. I own turntables, have owned midi controllers and Pioneer CDJ and they feel totally different, this thing looks bullshit.

  • Hey Madflip.

Im about to invest in my first bit of hardware. I think i've narrowed it down to the Pioneer DDJ-T1 and the Traktor S4. But I can't decide between them. Both have pro's and con's. Which one would you recommend as my first bit of gear?

  • Comment removed

  • Traktor Kontrol S4 or Pioneer DDJ-T1?

  • @BarneySplashy I favor the S4 because of the jog wheels and hot cues.

  • @BarneySplashy I have the same dilema, what did you go for?

  • hay how are you? i have a ddj-t1 can you tell me how i use recod buton i dont no... plz....plz

  • @tharakada Shift + rec :)

  • HAY MEAN I like your demostrations ! am sorry about my qus

    I am very confused between s1 and t1 :@

is the s1 mixer better that t1 mixer ?Who has

    more effects ?

i know the mean future in s1 have 2 channel and slip mode but t1 have 4 ch

I want your personal opinion about ns6

  • Hi Madflip, can i use a EFX 1000 to this [fucking awesome] controler ? Thank.

  • @NicolasBoucan Yes, you can connect it to the master output.

  • Hey I have a question; the Numark NS6 also caught my eye. What's your say as the better buy? Numark NS6 or Pioneer DDJ-T1?

  • @AMAROLAS It depends on what software you are more comfortable with. NS6 is 4 deck control on Serato Itch, and the DDJT1 is 4 decks with Traktor. We will have another NS6 review soon when they arrive. Thanks for the question.

  • can i use virtualDJ as the software?

  • @aimaann You can try and midi map it for VDJ. I don't see why not.

  • I NEED THAAAAAT!!!!!!!!

  • Nice piece of work, fancy tshirt !

  • i have a question from ur advice which one do u prefer the numark ns7 or this one?

  • 2:34 BOOM! Drop it likes it hot...

  • hi dj madflip........can i connect 2 cdj to this unit?

  • @bigblackcostin You can connect one in the auxillary input.

  • any way i can help promote uniquesquared?? im a young dj from cali and i dj a lot of urban teen parties.. let me know man, ill be glad to help out!!

  • So, Madflip . Im in a very big dilemma.. I dont know if i should buy, this pioneer T1, or if i should go with the NI Traktor Kontrol S4 .. What do you recomend ? And why do you prefer the one over the other.. Hope u can help me out here.

  • if you are deciding between this one or the ddj s1, buy this one it's better as in the software is better an it has four channels you can control.

  • okkk yes i found it it is kind of expensive>>>>>> right now i have the numark mixtrack pro?? wat do u think about that one?

  • @TheTayuco the mixtrack pro is a really great mixer.. i have one and i love it and its durable, ive done about 5 parties with it and i just got it 2 weeks ago. you get way more than what you pay for on that unit. i would recomend it.

  • Aha great info!

Seems like a good controller the way you put it :)

  • so dj mad flip um can i know the price of this unit???

  • @TheTayuco Hey man, thanks for the comment! You can check the price on our website I linked for you in the description. Click "Show More" just below the video to see the link. Did you find it?

  • @TheTayuco i think its like 1,300 somthin no lies pioneer cost an arm and a leg

  • great vid. im probably wrong about this but is it cheaper to get two of the pioneer cd players and a mixer? even if it is it more expensive, is that option more capable?

  • this looks dope
